  2. As the title states, I'm selling the Apexi Power FC and Hand Controller that has been in my S2 R33 GTS-t. Item is located in Frankston, Victoria and I would prefer pickup. Asking for $1200 Contact me via PM on here, or by mobile on 0400 097 995
  3. I also have one, never had a problem with it.
  4. I got my car from Power Road car sales about 2 years ago, haven't had one problem with it since the purchase and a few mods. That being said, Shane seemed pretty laid back about the whole thing IIRC
  5. Just thought I would add to this topic now that it has been resolved. I took the car to one mechanic who put in incorrectly gapped plugs and bollocksed up the BOV install that I had done while it was there. These two things made it run even worse than before. I then took it to Ray at RE Customs who fixed up the BOV installation, took out the plugs and fixed the gap and then gave it a boot on the dyno, the end result being 188kw@wheels. It feels bloody good to be able to boot the car for the first time since January. Even though it was a relatively simple fix, it was great to talk to someone who actually knew what they were talking about, I know where I'll be going in the future when the mod bug bites again.
  6. I bought the fuel from the Mornington United on the corner of Mornington-Tyabb Rd and Racecourse Rd in early January. And in response to me being keen to spend money on coils, I'm not really, I just don't know a lot about these kind of issues, so I thought that if that was definitely the answer then I may as well do it. But after reading further advice I will obviously try the cheaper options first.
  7. Yeh, after looking at prices I think I might try some cheap fixes first. If they don't help then maybe I should take it to my mechanic and see what he reckons. Thanks for all the tips guys, now where did I leave that nailpolish...
  8. Haha, I was worried you were going to say that. Laughs aside, thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. Do you (or anyone else) have any suggestions for what coils I should consider? Go with Nissan stock ones, or after market like Splitfire etc? Oh I might replace the fuel filter first and pray
  9. 79,000 kms on the engine, and yes, standard coil packs...
  10. Thanks for all the responses guys. I should add that I have run quite a few tanks of Mobil and BP 98 Octane through the car since the United debacle. What confuses me is that the car runs great at 8 psi, yet runs like shit over 10 psi. So basically the only way to diagnose the problem is to systematically replace the components I guess. I don't know a lot about the tuning of the PFC, is it something that I can do myself, or do I need to go back to my tuner and blow another $150?
  11. Ever since I ran 1 tank of United Boost 98 in my car it has pinged and knocked like hell when running anything over 10 psi. Putting new Iridium plugs in stopped the knock at anything around 8 psi, but it still knocks like crazy on high boost when previously it was fine. When testing it out after putting in the new plugs I saw a knock level as high as 110 on my PFC hand controller when running about 12 psi! Obviously I should have thought more about what I was doing when I filled up, but I feel that my fuel pump is probably on the way out too. I will never run another car on anything with ethanol in it again, just not worth the risk if you have a modified car. So far I have replaced plugs, next in line will be a new fuel pump. Does anyone think I should check anything else before I shell out for a new pump?
  12. It arrived today Steve, thanks for the prompt delivery, means it will be going on tomorrow morning - I can't wait. Glad to know that it won't be much louder, just hope if helps the flow a bit and frees up a few more kw!
  13. Just paid tonight, if it's delivered as quick as my FMIC kit then I will be wrapt. Quick noob question, will my exhaust be much louder that what it is already with a 3" dump and 3" nismo system?
  14. Thanks mate, I'll ring my mechanic today and take it in.
  15. Just a quick question regarding knock, rather ask it here than make a new thread. I had my power fc tuned a month or so ago when the car had primarily Shell V-Power racing (100 octane) in the tank and the knock levels would not go over 30 at any stage. Now that Shell have altered their pricing strategy and V-Power racing is set at 154.9 I have been putting V-Power (98 octane) in it , my problem is that the knock levels have gone way up when it is under load, I actually hit 115 in the cold the other night. Obviously I have been babying the car since then but should I pay for a whole new tune from my tuner ($300) and should an octane drop of only 2 effect it that much? It's really shitting me as I can't believe a lazy 2 octane could make such a difference. I had a look at paulr33's PFC guide and while being informative, I know jack shit about reading the map thing and don't want to make things worse by playing around with the timing. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated even if they are just "take it back to the bloke who tuned it." Thanks
  16. Anyone know if these are still available?
  17. Hi could I have a price for a kit to suit an r33 gts-t sedan. Thankyou
  18. My mechanic removed the rear washer bottle and put a repco replacement one to the side of where the hole needed to be. What about you?
  19. You car looks sweet as, I have the same FMIC installed on mine and the washer bottle issue gave me the shits. I have the factory Nismo kit on mine, let me know if you want some pics and I'll see what I can do next week.

  21. They are about $120 these days, from the box office that is.
  22. Kind of off topic, but what have people who have just jap fmic kits installed on r33's been doing with their airbox. On mine the intake snorkel that runs to the box had to be removed to allow the intercooler piping to pass through. I just bought an apexi panel filter, and don't like the idea of running a pod, but I would like to have some way of getting cooler air into the airbox. Do I need an aftermarket airbox, or does anyone sell different airbox snorkels that I could use?
  23. Have a read of this thread mate http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=143433
  24. What else can you expect from a mainstream newspaper, people are never going to vote for themselves as the worst category. I bet some people on here would agree with elderly drivers and taxi drivers being included in the list, and to be honest there is probably a reason why insurance companies charge higher premiums for younger, more inexperienced drivers. That being said, all young drivers shouldn't be lumped in with the bad ones, but unfortunately, thats the way public perception works - no one ever remembers the courteous 18yr old road user who graciously gave way at the intersection. I'm pretty disgusted with the way the articles pretends to state the results as 'gospel' however, and also with respondents who would not accept assistance from various members of the public. I for one would be grateful for any assistance I received while in distress on the roads, regardless of age, gender or any other prejudicial factors. And as for the 63% of female drivers feeling insecure when driving, if your not confident on the roads, then get off them.
  25. On a lighter note, I rang Custom Car Insurance (GIO offshoot?) for a quote on my lightly modded S2 R33 GTS-t Sedan, they quoted me about $3550, which made me laugh as I told them that I currently paid $1,200 with Just Cars, with all my mods listed, me being a 24yr old rating one male.
