  1. Coils are brand new used them for all of 1km driving before the engine came out. I am thinking its in the harness or the ignitor I had a quick search but is there nay way to test the ignitor? Timing is spot on the mark.
  2. Yes but they all don't cover all the injectors working fine and all the coils sparking and all brand new plugs and it still does it.
  3. yea unless u get one line mine that doesn't have a spring on it
  4. Of course Bubba, Tried each injector, and each coil pack on top of the engine and they all sparked. Number 3 isn't firing whilst unplugging while running the engine.
  5. Yea or use a bootable CD like UTBC Ultimate Boot Cd which has a few HDD clone tolls on it.
  6. Yep, I bought a ROSS balancer 2 weeks ago Directly from ross It came to $580 delivered.
  7. with the ignition on, and the CAS off take it out and spin it around slowly you should be able to hear the injectors fire its just a clicking sound. You may want to do this for each inector, unplug them all then plug them in 1 at a time while spinning the cas if they all click then theres a signal getting to them from the ecu. On a side note you may want to pull the fuses on your fuel pump so you dont flood the engine with fuel while testing. Hope this helps.
  8. Well I finally got my stroked rb20 running yesterday but as soon as it started could hear she wasn't firing on all cylinders, We tested the injectors there all clicking away, took annd the coilpaks out and earthed them all with the plus in them and spun the CAS and they all spark. I am stuck for ideas why its not running correctly, can anyone shed any light on why or what could be causing this to happen ? Cheers Cameron
  9. Take a listen to this video, this is mine today with the belt too tight on my first startup. If yours sound miliar then that your problem
  10. I came to the same cross road... so I drew the line and stepped over it and installed solid lifters in my rb24 As the pringles add goes "Once you pop you will never stop"
  11. Well the hot day it is here in Brisbane we decided to crank the engine over and get her running. After a bit aof head scratching of why the injectors weren't firing we jiggled the ecu wiring harness and all of a sudden they worked. A couple of small things I have to sort out before it goes off the be tuned. 1) Retension the timing belt as its a little to tight and sitting a bit far back on the gears for our liking 2) Finish interncooler piping 3) make it run on 6 cyl instead of 5
  12. This is my 1 fear about turning the key on my fresh built motor. This is bad news!
  13. They did a pretty darn good job on it! The stock water postion would of almost fit in there if u hadn't of cut it off
  14. I got mine done Also had to get a custom tailshaft made up. overall length between the gtr gearbox and gtst diff was 1084mm a fair bit shorter than the standard r32 gtst tailshaft.
  15. Hopefully I will be able to let you know in a few weeks when I get my rb24 up and running and into the 9000rpm range to see how it handles it
  16. YEa I saw two cops pulling over a hilux ute yesterday on the ICB in a VW Jetta yesterday
  17. POST A DYNO RUN VIDEO!!!!!
  18. The Adaptronic does have the option for a Air Temp sensor so its not really a big problem you canwire it in if you want too.
  19. Its easy enough to wire up the Air temp Sensor, For the price of the ECU and what it does it does allow some leaway for you to give it the benifit of not coming with the temp sensor. Still if you add the cost of a temp sensor to the ecu and plug in harness your still under $1400 for a ecu that does alot of the same functions as alot higher priced ECU's on the market today. I am going to be installing a temp sensor with my adaptronic jsut to be safe on my new engine but it ran my old rb20 with 300hp atw with no problems for 12 months and didn't see any large amounts of black smoke
  20. Yea i was pulling out of the Gf's street saw the cop ahead, he signalled me over asked how i was and checked my lisence then stated " sorry I thought you were one of these young hoons, have a good night" MT Ommaney Coppa
  21. For that reason I don;t know why people don't recommend them more oftern.
  22. Yea I got a quote from them today for my R32 GTST with a built rb24 full respray etc for $1200 a year plus and heres the figures $1500 car excess + $300 standard excess + $350 age excess to cover me with rating 1 and value of $12000 on the car... Who else is there who covers imports?
  23. I run the adaptronic on my rb20det made 320hp on 18psi with a 2876r on the side of it. Appears very easy to use, has Self tuning and closed loop only downside which really isn't to much of a downside is it only has 4 injector outputs, But this will be changed in the new model comming out next year. I picked mine up new for $990 Heres a couple of screenshots from my tune. If you want to see any of the other screens let me know
  24. Hmm intresting, I will have to give it a go and see how it turns out. I will Check under the tocker covers to see if theres oil in the head.
  25. Ok so I am planning on getting the engine started this weekend. I just finished the wiring tonight and decided to turnthe key and jsut crank it over to move some oil around a couple of things i noticed. 1) Theres a hissing sound coming from the dip stick that slowly tappers down after you stop cranking like pressure build up and slowly leaking out 2) oil pressure guage on the dash doesnt move but the light does fliker a little bit Is this normal for a fresh built engine? Or shold I be looking into it before I try to start it all?
