murrayis replied to murrayis's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yes I tried the search but noone has a definitive answer to what to use, Some say a U12 Bluebird with a sr20de I want something that itsnt goign to be stretched or hard angles to get it to work. -
Hi, I am almost done my rebuild but one thing I still need ot get is a new throttle cable but I am unsure what cable is long enough for the forward facing plenum in a r32. I remember reading it elsewhere but have been searching and also asked a few members off here and to no avail, I hope osmsone can;t enlighten me. Cheers Cameron

Well I picked up a TPS off ebay for $55 for a Ford E series which appears to suite the TB correctly
-
I gave Petro-ject a call to see if they could match one up, they said they have one that they are pretty sure is off a Ford... I am using a Adaptronic ecu, so the signal range won;t be a problem and it supports a very large number of TPS options. Is there anywhere else that sells Tps's for less that $150 which I got quoted?

After much look could this be suited to a LS1?

My Friend Wants A Skyline But His 6 Feet 8''
murrayis replied to jakez88's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I'm 6 feet 3" and I must say it takes a bit of getting used to fitting in a R32 GTS-T. Have to have the seat all the way back, and lowered and a good angle on the seat not to smash your head into the roof driving around the place. Its something you have to get used to fitting into a small cabin but once you do its well worth it -

Thats what I figured just found it weird that it was in the same harness as all the positives. Anyone have any ideas what TPS I require?
-
Hi, I have just put my engine back in the car after being rebuilt and ran into a couple of problems. 1) theres a wire coming out of the same harness as the + battery lead but I am unsure if it goes on the + or the - as when I check the continuity it measures as being connected to the earth But I am unsure if this if because its going through something and connecting back to the car or not. 2) I got a 80mm Throttle body from BMI when they were still Buzz Engines in Sumner Park QLD, I have no idea what TPS suites it. and before you say contact BMI, Well I have tried but seeing they packed up shop and Moved to the USA last december and the only scaps of BMI here is a dude who bought the stock to see it off as BMI Any help you can provide would be a great help if me getting my car finally finished. 1.1) 2.1)

Yes cut the trasnfer case off, welded a plate over the hole. I also gutted everything to do with the FWD system took about 15kg's out of the trasnfer case. I put 2 ltrs of tranny oil in the rear transfer case and left the oil pump in there to keep the bearings happy. -

Gearbox has been cut and shut so fits under there nicely -
As the title says for my project I am changing from a r32 gtst anual box to a r32 GTR box. Couple of problems have arisin: 1) speedo cable is no long enough to reach the sender 2) Clutch slave plumbing is different 3) Gearbox mount is totally different. Now The gearbox mount I know I have to modify to suite the diff car but I am unsure what angle the box has to be on. The clutch plumbing isnt a masive problem a trip to the Local hydraulic shop to get a new lead made up, Or is there an alternate? Speedo cable is my major concern and what cable to use? If anyone can help me regarding these would be a great help, I have pm'd URAS but no reply so far as he seems to have done a few of these conversions before. Cheers in advance

Heres a couple of pics, the engines pretty much just sitting in there at the moment Still have to finish off porting the intake manifold ot match the head its half done, then just a matter off mounting the gearbox up 100% running all the oil and water lines, and get a tailshaft. Can anyone recommend a place around the western subs in brisbane who make tailshafts?
