i am pretty sure tomei can make up a 82mm head gasket just like the 83mm there made to order. www.nengun.com < is your best bet to get onto them

Tomei offer a 83mm 1.5mm gasket mine was $240 delivered from japan, took 2 months to arrive but and trust no longer make them

Hi Mate, I am in the middle of building a rb2.4 with nothing left untouched.... If you do a search for rb24 you will find my thread.. I wouldnt use 4agze pistons... the desk hight needs lowering, and the pin is about 3mm higher up the piston than stock rb20 pistons. I uses in mine 83mm Custom ROSS pistons... about $1300 worth and there perfect. Hi, I am chasing a blown RB20DET doesnt matter if it has a hole in the side of the block or the internals are welded to the piston walls, I require all the mounts off the engine and the small sensors eg. Oil, knock etc. I am mainly requiring the following: - Power Steering Bracket - Engine mounts - Oil Sender - Knock sensors - CAS - CAS bracket I require these sort of parts as I sold my spare rb20 not even thinking of taking them off it. I am in Brisbane western suburbs ( Westlake) and will come pickup any parts I can. Cheers Cameron

you can buy all these parts for the ram tubes etc from JNT Performance, would be easier than turning up a press if you dont have the were with all

What oil cooler? there wasnt a factory one on there :S or do you mean the tube that went through the front and looped back past the radiator?

So pretty much i can route the feed back to the return just looping it back on itself? so that the oil goes to the oil bottle up top? eg. the pic below: Would that work?

Well I am in the rocess of putting my new engine into my R32 GTST and while the old engine is out am goign to remove the entire hicas system. I think I have it sused but jsut wanted to confirm that what I am removing is correct. From looking at how the system is setup I figure I can remove everything related to FEED1 and Return 1 in the following picture At the pump side of the system I can remove FEED 1 and Return 1 and block of the feed from the pump and the return to the fluid tank below I read in a previous HICAS removal writeup that you can remove the rear half of the power steering pump? is this possible or am i better off just blocking up the feed from the rear side of the pump that goes to the HICAS system. RB20 + rb20 rods + 83mm bore pistons is a rb22 RB20 + rb26 rods + rb26 crank + 83mm bore pistons is a rb24 if the strokes different they could be 4agze pistons because they fall short of the deck by 3mm so the stroke may be shorter because the blocks been decked to suite 4agze pistons. My 2 cents

I went the funny option of building a RB24 some of the mods I am doing are: Forged Eagle Rods Rb26 Crank + Balanced ACL Race Series Bearings ARP head studs ROSS Custom 83mm pistons Tomei 1.5mm metal head gasket 83mm 1mm Oversize valves Tomei Solid lifters Tomei Valve Springs Tomei 270 9.25mm lift Cam's Tomei Shims HKS Cam gears Ported and polished head Garrett 3076R .64 rear Hopeing for easy 300kw on low boost and around 350 - 400rwkw on high boost around the 30psi mark which i hope should be achieved with this turbo or having to change to a larger rear housing. Anyway goodluck today with the car at the workshop!! keep us updated

Pretty sure there is one on the Pac Highway around marchal road but it is not active till later in the year, They mentioned one in the paper and on the tele a few weeks ago that would be active mid year

Hi, I am upgrading to a built RB24DET and have just this morning removed my old RB20det and gearbox and wont have any need for them anymore. Engine won't include the following: - Turbo - Turbo manifold - Engine wireing Harness - Power Steering Pump Engine hasn't been driven in the last year but started every week or 2 and let run to lumbricate everything compression tested at 160 - 165 across the board and nver run more than 15psi through the engine, I'll throw in a GTR style intercooler I was going to use but have purchased a 100mm TRUST item instead. The Gearbox is still attached to the engine and prefer not to seperate the box from the engine and wish to sell as a complete package. Pickup from Brisbane only (Westlake) box and engine weigh around 300 - 350kg, I have an engine crane to lift onto a trailer or ute. As far as I know both looms are the same, I can't find a different wiring diagram between the two series.
