  1. Best to put this in the for sale section in NSW
  2. Nice work mate, very impressive
  3. It is two times the half And I think 263.478kw
  4. All cheap turbos are a ticking time bomb waiting to explode, if you don;t push them too hard you will be ok for 15000k's but if you push them your asking for trouble
  5. Definetly go the 3inch exhaust, as the 2.5inch will become a restriction, Also 1.5bar is a lil high for a stock bottom end, maybe 1.2bar to be safe if you want it to last. With a decent tune out of the emanage maybe 220kw but I would say around the 205 - 210 mark. As for the rev limit no higher than 7500rpm to be safe.
  6. Simple answer is YES it will work and makes a lil bit of difference. But be aware the fall on the cam's is alot steeper as there ment to run with solid lifters, so it will be a lil harsh on the hydrolic lifters but other than that should be fine
  7. Sounds good mate, but the link to the pics don;t work
  8. To check if it is the idle motor just unplug it, saves you fidling with the settings in the wolf. its at the back of the plenum with a brass colour cylinder sticking out of it.
  9. Hey mate, Sounds like the idle motor, change the duty cycle in the wolf and /or the frequency of it, had a similar problem with mine with a different ecu, it was going crazy. Cameron
  10. I believe it would be very laggy hitting boost up around 5000 but the setup would be good for 400hp I would think
  11. ok we foudn the problem on saturday, when staring at the end of the cam shaft we noticed that the locator key was missing snapped off :S so we changed to a spare cam shaft and lined it all up and away it went fired first time turns out our timing gun was wrong faulty also showing and giving false readings. so problem solved
  12. lol its a long drive from sydney to Adelaide... then too Alice Springs... thats one decent road trip you want to do in a convertable lol I would advise air conditioning. When your in brisbane, let us all know theres test and tune every wednesday night at the drag strip and also drifinting every other week at archerfield so.. heaps to do and see
  13. I've got an Adaptronic running on mine, havent had a problem with it. Its and excellent ECU runs MAP and very tunable and great milage. www.adaptronic.com.au Great thing is there so cheap you can pick one up for $990 and $70 for the 2mtr loom. Also they do a plug in loom for the r33 rb25det With any aftermarket ecu you will need to get it tuned to get the benifts of it. Cheers Cameron
  14. i would sya mines about 95db, before i changed my turbo was easily 89db
  15. Hi, I will check these tomorrow, but i suspect they will be working. As we have just put a new loom in to replace the first one we had hopeing the problem was the loom but we still have the same problem. Cameron
  16. Hi Boot it, Yep we changed the ecu to another one out of a working r32 and still the same problem. Not sure about pin 43 but will check it out. The cas, maf and coilpacks are all getting 12v while cranking and with ignition on We have tried alot of things over the last month and its still not firing
  17. Timing is spot on the money that was one of the first things we tested when we changed over the CAS We have done a compression test but can't remember the figures, i think they where pretty low, how low would they need to be to not run? The weird thing is it started fine then we drove it around the block and found a water leak at the back of the engine which was just one of the water lines which we fixed. How can the timing go a tooth out theres a locator in the cam shalf and on the CAS drive shaft a half moon shape :S
  18. Funnily enough he never told us it was somsone who knew him, said he was always having trobules you would stop the car and leave it then go start it and it wouldnt but if you left it for a whle it would start, but now it doesnt We checked the ignition this morning and the coils are firing, we are htinking maybe the injectors are staying open because after cranking it for 10 seconds cloudes of fuel smoke is coming out of the back of the car. Somehow could they be jammed open? and jsut pooring fuel into the engine?
  19. Myself i am in the middle of a rb24 build Clicky Clicky So you might fine some usefull info in my thread
  20. Hi Jv, Have changed the spark plugs and all the wire looms on the engine. Also the car has a brand new fuel take and walbro fuel pump. The previous owner of the engine said it used to do this every now and then just refuse to start, but now it doesnt start at all. Cameron
  21. Howdy, A mates just completed a rb20det manual conversion to his auto s13. Everyting on that front is good, got a wireing harness made up very nice. The car started first time, we took it for a drive around the block and found a water leak so we went back to the shop and fixed that up, went to start it again and it would not fire. We have changed the coil's, ignitor the engine harness, cas, ecu, tested everything we can think of, we have even just got another wireing harness made up yet still the same problem. There is heaps of fuel going through the engine theres clouds of it coming out the exhaust pipe, but doesn't want to fire. Has anyone had a problem similar to this? would be a great help as we have been trying to get this running for over a month. Cheers in advance Cameron
  22. Similar thing happened to a mate, put one on his rb25 in his 33, and wouldnt hold an even boost level quiet oftern running upto 30psi. He contacted them and they said to grind out the divider no longer making it a split pulse turbo. About 3 months later and only about 30 hours of use it packed up shop and did something similar to that., was only running 1bar which is nothing special.
  23. GTR injectors allow a fair bit more fuel, it could be overfueling because of the extra flow, this would make it run very rich and do what your discribing.
  24. I have mine setup the same way, and it works fine holds 20psi nicely
  25. Myself I like the Apexi AVCR have had a couple of the last few years, and their a great lil unit
