  1. Wow not cheap at all.... $100 for a gt101 sensor + $34 shipping - http://www.digikey.com.au/product-search/en/sensors-transducers/magnetic-sensors-position-proximity-speed-modules/1967210?k=gt101 Or I get mine from RS components $57ex - http://au.rs-online.com/web/p/magnetic-pickups/2355706/
  2. It's looking like about $300 for all the mounts and cam trigger wheel. I can source the sensors also for $70 each and you will just need to get the balancer modified at any machine shop.
  3. Ok guys I've had alot of PM's from people interested in buying a set once they go full swing so I've decided to compile a public list. If you are interested in the second full batch post your interest and I'll add you to the list. Currently the first batch has been delayed as the factory producing the first/sample batch has had no power since Sunday so they have not been able to ship my items but I was promised last night when I finally got them on the phone that they would ship today.... Cheers Cameron
  4. That is correct GTSBoy - A Gap is a gap which ever way it is mounted, This style keeps it compact and safe.
  5. Ok so to clarify the mounts are all aluminium and the trigger wheel is being made from high carbin steel as one peice to keep it all aligned. Parts have all been completed and waiting on shipment from to arrive
  6. Ok so today I spent alot of time talking to suppliers in China and working on the design and prices and we have come to a price of roughly $70 to your door which I hope people would be happy with so the entire kit excluding balancer and sensors will be a little over $200 AUD
  7. Can you make any recommendations ben?
  8. So after talking to many suppliers in china the price to make the below trigger wheel will be around $150 delivered due to the cost of mild steel in China. http://www.3dvieweronline.com/share/LoQeUhNMkB3TZXm/LoQeUhNMkB3TZXm Working on new designs to save cost.
  9. Final part of the puzzle now; the spacer
  10. Yea it will. It needs to sit out around 20mm
  11. Final Cam Trigger wheel design.
  12. Thanks First 3d print didn't go to plan and I came back to a mess so it's just started again and have 5 and a bit hours to go.
  13. That's good; I'm currently printing the prototype.
  14. I'm thinking something like this will be the winner.
  15. I'll let you know once i've found someone to balance it for me. The factory CAS could be used in theory just as a reference. The factory CAS disk has 360 outer slots and from memory a single inner ring for the reference. Me either at this stage. I'm happy with just using a steel bolt on the adjustable CAM gear however I thought people would like something universal without the need for a aftermarket cam gear however I guess in the scheme of things having to spend $300 on a pair of gears isn't a bit deal.
  16. I have drawn up the slots already as that was one of my first ideas before I've been playing with hardening the steel which seems like it is the way to go. r32-25t is correct all the adjustment is done in the ECU - You just tell it where the trigger points are in relation to TDC etc. and away you go.
  17. I've received notification that the first batch of brackets has been completed and will ship this week. Once received they'll be put to the test on a few different set up's. Getting close now! So much can be accomplished in such a short time. I'm still looking at different options for the trigger finger and the rigidity of the finger not to warp at 5000rpm. So far I've taken the mild steel fingers and hardened them and the flex is very minimal at 3000rpm that I believe they will be fine at 5000rpm. Cheers Cameron
  18. Honestly the labour cost to modify a stock unit would be mite than the entire aftermarket solution
  19. I thought the same about the flex so I've hardened the sample this afternoon and it is alot more ridged now. I plan tomorrow to spin it up on the mill to 4000rpm and try measure the flex.
  20. No need for different options I guess.
  21. looking better I'm thinking the above will be the OEM Cam gear option with the trigger finger being 5mm wide instead of the current option and then the HKS Cam gear will use an extended bolt with a spacer insert to bring the sensor back to the appropriate position. What other genuine Cam gears are people using?
  22. That Is correct I did do a rough calculation and they were fairly similar. Care to do the math for me? https://www.dropbox.com/s/hn8hvsaanv1fh5o/Part1.ipt?dl=0
  23. Sorry Ben.. please forgive me I'll try to finish the kit sooner!
