AnjoO - It all depends on the cop who pulls you over, i had the head traffic cop for the southwest victoria region say that as long as they aren't red at the front, or white at the back, flashing or something else, they're fine. Another said that they're fine, just not whilst driving, another said no altogether. It's really a pot luck thing. And drift_limo, we were discussing the legality of LED's, not the sexuality of electrical goods.

Bogeye - Save the cash you spend on an engine swap and build up, like smasha said put it towards defensive driving lessons and the like. If you really want to modify, focus more on stopping and turning. Any idiot can accelerate, but stopping without the aid of a power pole is the real skill. Once you're off your P's and have a bit of experience under your belt, go nuts on whatever you want, the more skylines to put the falcodore losers back in their places the better. (Please not that i'm not encouraging illegal street behaviour in any way, that's what places like Calder, WSID and Kwinana are for)

Take it to an electrician ASAP- mine only went downhill from there. Now it's stick about an inch down. Does anyone know if there's a way to manually raise it?

You don't nessecarily have to have an unroadworthy car to be defected. Awhile back a guy from work was booked for having his parcelshelf brake light obscured by his spoiler - which contained a brakelight.

Where does the switch connect to? I took the switch out yesterday, all looked clean, and when i pressed it i could hear something further back in the door click.

Hey all, My driver's side window mechanism died the other week, it's always been slower than the other side but now it just sounds sick and rarely works. How hard is it to get in and replace?

Doesn't really matter where you go, if you're under 25 comprehensive will cost you a left testicle. There's a $1200 difference between 3rd party, fire, theft and comprehensive for me. (and i'm only an NA...)

Are the filter's still available? What sort are they (ie. brand or generic?)?

Yeah, the shapes a bit tacky, probably trying to tap into the hi-po rice market. The idea's good though assuming it actually does sit right in the face of the incoming airstream.

Word - there's too many 'faceless warriors' who hide behind screens around here. As for the rain problem, if you think about it the probability of rain getting through the top of your front bar or through the grille is pretty low anyways (it'd have to be at a pretty oblique angle, like less than 45 degrees) and then for those few that do get through to also get through the airflow holes as well would be pretty low indeed. Unless you plan on crossing some major rivers i don't think it'd be too much of a problem.

I did realise that it was a straight through design, it also stated "Fibreglass packing for effective noise suppression" so i assumed that would cut down on drone. Any suggest on mufflers which will sound better than the tinny rattle my stock one has, but without the drone?

On my series 1 it's about 2", i think series 2's have 2.25". Are you sure you've got one of the mechanical mufflers? I thought they were only on S2 models, i just took mine off the other day and it only had the twin tips, no moving parts.

What colour is the drivers mirror? is it convex or straight glass?

How loud is the noise supposed to be, i just got a 5x8 Xforce muffler fitted, still 2" piping and the noise is quite loud inside the car - possibly louder than outside. Would adding deadener to the boot help stop this?

Has anyone had any problems with their aircon? When i turn the car to 'on' before it starts there's this clicking noise for 30sec or so - a mechanic friend thought it could be a fuel pump pressurizing, but it's coming from in the dash area. Is there a second pump there. or is my climate control stuffed?
