  2. Try the uras site, i know they do Flexible FRP and also some Urethane kits.
  3. where did you manage to find genuine ones?
  4. there's one about, do a search!
  5. A little off topic richie, but do you have any side on shots of your car? I'm looking for skirts to go with my trial front, but i can't seem to find many examples with the same front. Stay with the trial front btw, it's the best one imo - not too over the top, but still pretty badass.
  6. by polycarb do you mean urethane (or anything not fibreglass)?
  7. the reo is the bit that the headlights, bumper and grille attach to.
  8. M3 Pros: 7. Will not become as much of a money pit as the GTR (in terms of 'just one more mod....') 8. Is more uncommon on the streets, and unlike the GTR will stay uncommon. Where more and more GTRs will flood the streets as they get cheaper.
  9. Do a search, i remember once upon a time someone replaced the globe in the park lights with indicators and whatnot
  10. Just look in their driveways dude, nine times out of ten you'll see exactly why you seem to be copping it - they drive a VN commo or their girlfriends Barina. I'm not going to rag on others cars for not being as good as mine, as that's no different to what's being said already. But most of the time it stems from that, i know all my mates that give it to me for driving a wog car go home in their magnas! In the end, you bought the car you wanted, and as long as you enjoy what you chose, who cares what some prats think.
  11. i'd say go with 70% of what they cost you, and then work down from there. If 70% is too much, then no-one will buy them, so drop back to 60 or 65%, and so on.
  12. Nestled in a back alley in Richmond yesterday
  13. Depends how cheap you're talking about as cheap? If you can get the 30 built for less than 1200, yeah. When i bought my GTS the guy said that if the engine lets go, you can pick up a new engine/gearbox for 1500 or so, so if you can get it done cheaper than buying another 25, hell yeah! I don't know, but you may need to get another ECU as well - just another cost to think about.
  14. Anyone know if auto paint can be used in other applications? I'm looking at repainting a helmet, and found some appropriate colours on various cars. Only question i have is, if cars need to be low bake ovened when they get resprayed, would you need to do it for other things too, or can you let it air dry?
  15. 1940's open wheeler Bugatti on Blackburn Rd today
  16. Just so you know, it's not a conversion "kit" as such. You get the guards to do it and that's it. You need to source genuine parts - bumper, lights, reo, bonnet, bonnet latch, and bonnet hinges to get it done (OEM parts aren't cheap!!!) Keen to see the final product though, uras photos look nice.
  17. +1 - If there's a chance it's not you, go and buy a copy of the photo. A guy from back home got done for using (and speeding on) CityLink with no pass, and the rego on the fine was for his tractor. If the plate's obscured or slightly illegible, they just send it to the closest match. Otherwise, as said - If it's unsigned, it's 50. So i don't think you've got anywhere to go on that one. And you're tagged with the points for three years.
  18. Pontiac G8 beind tested on the GOR today.
  19. Don't change just the springs, it'll kill your shocks. Then you'll need to replace those anyway. Better off saving and doing the lot at once IMO
  20. RB26 >>> RB25 In short, RB26 was a race spec engine strapped into a road car, where the 25 was derived from and for a sedan.
  21. Try the 'for sale' or the 'Wanted to Buy' sections.
  22. Hey there, can you check VIN: 6U90000ER33001792 ENG: RB25060347A Cheers
  23. Ouch. Mine was for an NA, kept in the country, and 3 years worth of driving. *please be mindful the the prices quoted are applicable only to the examples given and changes in circumstance will affect the final price. Please consult the PDS prior to making a descision on this product*
  24. I don't think the rex gearbox is weak by anymeans, it's just that those who bought them assumed WRX = WRC car, and drove them accordingly, and ten years of full hektik driving has taken its toll as you would expect. If you manage to find one that's been cared for and unmolested, i doubt that you'd have a problem. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that the majority of cars with gearbox issues all have uprated clutches - The clutch is designed as the weak link in the drivetrain, and when it gets broken, people tend to replace it with heavy duty, million plate replacements. This just shifts the weakness onwards, to the synchros or other parts. And when they go bang 'it must have a weak gearbox'. No, it's just being mistreated, and fettled inappropriately.
  25. Maybe a n00b question, but what's seam welding and why are you doing it?
