  3. Bernie Threatens Melbourne 20/5/07 What an utter utter dickhead, he and max need to go before they take away all the good tracks and all that is good within F1. Do you really care who wins a quite nightrace in dubai with their V6 eco car? ... niether do i
  4. theres a thread in calais turbo about it go have a search

  6. Look like its a night race or nothing for melbourne beyond 2010. And i can tell you now, the assholes that live in that area of melbourne will NOT support that idea at all... so its goodbye to F1 it seems quite sad really
  7. Vermeulan FTW Stoner third in a wierd race. Very exciting stuff, the rain sorts out the shit kickers that for sure. And once again to my utter delight Hayden took a stack and fell further away from the leaders. Stoner now with a comfortable cushion in the championship.
  8. Transformers - The Movie - Stan Bush - The Touch
  9. Updates from Paul Ricard Honda have gone a spree... of knocking off ideas, maily Mclarens unfortunately. As you can see they appear to have copied McLaren shoulder wing integration with the sidepod heat outlet. Also no winglets immediatly following the sidepod outlet. Also it seems like their sidepods have been modified aswell. I hear their next revolutionary piece of aero is some kind of secondary element attached to the front wing, never seen before tho. We're just goig to have to wait and see

  15. Apparently Prodrive are looking at Paffett to fill a seat... we'll see what happens
  16. Honda are laying ALL the blame on their wind tunnel, but... the rumours are that sacking willis and promoting some nobody in charge of the team was the real downfall. there is a really good read at pitpass.com that explains a lot of whats wrong with Honda Toyota NEED to get rid of Ralf asap. He's doing nothing for the team anymore. He might have been useful in the begining when they needed an older driver to help establish the team but they're way past that now. He needs to go, i cant stress that enough. Like you said, the real surprise for me is Wiliams this year. From almost last in the standing at the end of 06, to fighting for points every race, what a turn around Renault need a No.1 driver to lead the team like Ferrari to succeed. Mclaren seem to have a differnt philosophy much like Williams, the currant driver line up isnt working for them at all. I get the impression if Alonso was still there, they'd be in final quali and the points at least every race.
  17. No no, i meant pre season. They didnt expect much in the way of wins or championships. They've surprised themseleves and the rest of us, with how quick they have acctually been so far in the championship. By '08 they SHOULD be in an even better position. Renault and Honda had no idea how bad they were going to be, they're both introducing radically new cars mid way through the season in the vien hope of not lagging too far behind so that it wont affect next years chances aswell. Toyota are going nowhere, but all the pre season hype they spun lead us to believe this year was going to be much different.
  18. With Ferraris current bridgestone knowledge advantage, any idea is a good idea. You really cant blame a guy for trying. If they had kept to their stratagy the outcome was an inevitable certainty. They mixed it up but got the same result. If they didnt do anything you can gurantee they would have been chastised for that too. Sort of like a fork in the road that leads to the same place in the end. I think you'll find that most teams have written off their chances of winning the chamipionship this year, Mclaren keeping Ferrari honest is just a pleasant surprise. Im sure '08 cant come soon enough for Mclaren, Renault, Honda and Toyota.
  19. If you remember back in Bahrain in the last stint, both lewis and Alonso were extremely quick on the hard compounds as compared to Massa on the softs... at the end of the race there was a discussion about why Mclaren didnt bolt them on earlier if they worked so well. Apparently they didnt want to risk the car balance or something and so they just stuck to their pre race game plan. Here in spain they were in almost the same position. Massa leading, lewis in pursuit and Alonso training with body work damage. So instead of following exactly what they did in Bahrain, Alonso and the team chose to do something different because lets face it... what did they have to lose? they were comfortably 3rd with kimi out and had no chance of catching Massa. By bolting on the harder compound in the mid stint, they were trying to establish two things. Would it help Alonso's poor pace and if it does work, they'd stop hamilton slightly early and do the same. They based all that thinking on the fact that in free practice on friday, both Mclarens were very very fast on the hard tyres, most other teams were completely at sea, despite the fact that they had all tested there withing the last week. Unfortunately for Alonso they track conditions had changed since friday and the harder tyre brought him no significant advantage.
  20. that rear end stretch looks rediculous
  21. HI2U2
  22. STI times 11ty billion In this case it IS worth spending the extra bucks
  23. Rubens was in a similar boat to Massa... he got to used to the ferrari electonics doing all the work for him out of every corner and after he moved to Honda his lack of ability really shone through and Button embarrased him. Next year when Ferrari's Bridgestone superiority is nullified and traction control is gone, the cream will rise, and massa WILL fall. The fact that he looks like the biggest criminal in the paddock doesnt help either. He looks like he stealing things from the post race conference from beneath the table. Alnoso and Lewis might want to check the wrists to see if he yanked their new tag heuer's
  24. i stand by my comment Watch massa's complete inability to drive in the rain and my point will be justified. No traction control is really going to bite him in the ass. If you watch his telemetry from the onboards his throttle application is horrendous. It's either all brake or full throttle, no feathering at all at any point. Keep that up and 08 isnt going to be happy year for his rear bridgies His car and most importantly his tyres are flattering his complete lack of ability
