  1. aaaaaaaaaanyway... i think opening practice is going to be interesting. Massa really is under the gun and is going to want to show he's still got the moves. I think Kimi will still romp away from him though. Honda has apparently given up on their rice box. Expect the new RA107 in Canada... but dont expect much
  2. 'only' cost $6000 At least its all over, looking good
  3. Ive never liked that idea. Call me old fashoned but i still think the maximum points should stay at 10. Rework it so that points are shared down from there. It becomes to difficult to follow and and keep score score of whos where. Look at V8 supercars... if you can follow that points system with any level of understanding your a better man than me. No layman in the world could follow that shamozzle.
  4. Love the last bit, couldnt have said it better. I agree with you there 100%, now just type that up into a formal letter and send it of to Bernie and Max for their perusal, im sure we'll start seeing changes in the next... 7 to 9 years. What the FIA are chasing these days are transferable technologies from F1 to us schmuks on the road... why? i dont know. I think that is what is getting up a lot of purists noses. F1 is F1 stop touching and let them race. We are in an era of change. So many rule changes in so little time frame. The reason the whole field is so reliable these days is because they have to be. Points have changed, engines have changed and so has the amount of competition. Im sure that if we ran the 1999 system today we'd still be watching a fair few cars drop out. By the end of 2008 hopefully they'll have their game sorted and we can sit and watch in peace.
  5. All true... but Investing in more areo effeciency will not make the car any less reliable. Pumpin 10million bucks into 700 more rpm only to make it infinatly more fragile does seem a bit nonsensicle. Were here to see them get the finish, not give it up 2/3 the way through like Mclaren and Williams. Although there is a limit of course... too many areo pieces hanging off the top of the cars is starting to look a stupid. Example number one would be the new horns sprouting from the midsection of the Renaults monocoque... yuk
  6. holy shit thats nice!! Get rid of the impreza plate at the front and chuck in a cooler... done
  7. The problem (apparently) with motors reving to 20,000 rpm and beyond is that teams spend rediculous amount of money chasing small increments in horsepower in the top end. The FIA see this as a waste of money that could be better spent in other areas... like paying Max Mosely to come up with ludacris ideas year after year while simultaneously trying to destroy the sport by making it impossible for average joe to follow
  8. Team-Mate Wars: Sepang LOLLL always a good read

  18. Hamilton VS Massa theres just so muh you caould talk about in those 2 minutes. Interestingly Lewis said that he tricked Massa and have since found out how. Apparently he wanted Massa as close as possible to the inside on the dirty side of the tack. Then he ducked to the very outside of the track as late as possible and braked way past his marker so that Massa would have no chance of making the corner... which he didnt Is it just me or has Ferrari's pit stops and tactical ability dropped since Brawn left. Everything about them was below their usual standards. For instance both cars came out in a bit of traffic after stops, which never used to happen, no to mention both second stops were slightly long.
  19. ^^^^^ LOLLLL
  20. Massa has got to be the single stupidest, weak minded loser in the whole field... that includes Fisi Done by a rookie Race was a bit unspectacular, but at least there was overtaking in this one, unlike Melbourne. Race had a lot of suprising results. Biggest one being Massa's inability to repass Heidfeld, he had plenty of time to do it, not to mention the significant speed advantage... or so we thought And Bahrain is only 5 days away!!! but im not expecting the same result as Malaysia by any stretch of the imaginiation. The last test at Bahrain before the season started was a little one sided.
  21. News is Kimi's engine has been turned down and Massa has it in the bag. Alonso for a solid third and Lewis not to far behind. Kimi will jump Alonso off the start thanks to a suspected lower fuel load and Hailton may (MAY) be running a few laps longer than Alonso. Theres my red hot tips for tomorrow, also Renault are in big big trouble. Finally life can return to some level of normalcy with F1 back. As a parting gift... >> i lol'd <<
  22. LOL dont think you have a choisce anymore. The car is yours, like it or not These things are always a gamble. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. Looks pretty clean tho
  23. I think you'll find most of the sites you read will be UK based and will hold the same (albeit less obvious) stance as ITV. The 'protect your own' mentality of these stations really pisses me off. The way they keep going on about Kovalainen and his impening sacking for his one bad performance and yet saying silent on the fact that Davidson and Coulthard are both being comprehensively beaten by their respective team mates is appalling. Unfortunately nobody can put a stop to it which is why i watch the formula 1 with a very low volume these days.
  24. finally someone said it dont do it... it looks horrible, does not suit the car at all
