Alonso just gave schumi a decent spray on the radio in Spain... tis a good read. but yeah, 07 looks to be a cracker...

if he did announce his retirement a year early the he would have had to deal with harrasssment all year about what he intends to do after F1,who does he think will fill he's spot etc etc. I dont think the press would have let him enjoy his final year.

yeah i agree with that... you see most people cheering for schumi and Ferrari just a by-product of their support. Of course there are a lot of Ferrari fans out there, but im guessing a large contingent of them with have nothing to wave in the air next year.
