Think about this, your injectors are getting old anyway,so why not replace them with new ones from Slide for a couple of hundred more.I know that my AVO hiflowed injectors had me worried from the day I put them in but since changing to nismo I sleep better and get better fuel economy.

Bushings Gone Bust
skylinecouple replied to sarnil's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi Sarnil, If you need help getting the castor bushes from Whiteline or Fulcrum, let me know and I`ll send them to my brother in laws place in Suva where you can pick it up.Otherwise contact Sydney Kid in the group buy section and he will mail them to you directly. -
As sinista said, redo your idle learning procedure. This is the responsibility of the tuner.I really don`t know why these guys are allowed by their customers to leave the shop with an obvious tuning defect.Yet another tuner taking on more work than he has the time to do.Let me guess,he couldn`t wait for you to leave so he could start the next job.

Street cars should use a BOV. This has been proven time and time again but someone will argue against it I`m sure.If you can afford to rebuild your turbo more often then plug it back up.

Strongly recommend the spec 11.Easy to set up and very accurate

I have the GCG hiflow for the last 3 years and have never had this problem.Look at your boost controller, the amount of times I`ve seen people not turn the gain up to maximum is amazing. This creates little tuning problems on it`s own.If you have set gain, turn that up til it starts to spike as well.I did not have your problem exactly but I did have a little hick up on back off in 2,3 and 4th gear and proper tuning of the boost controller fixed it beautifully.Sorry, didn`t think to ask if you have a EBC.My theory is that an EBC is basically a vacume leak,so if gain is to low you may induce a constant boost leak.

vg30det or R34.
-
As Liz said, use the side of your foot so your not moving your knee.Takes a few days of practice to perfect but the end result is worth it.

Hey guys, really need a VG30 housing for hiflow rebuild so as long as the housing has no cracks and is at a fair price I`m keen.Call Gary on 0412662337.

To Modify Or Not? Is It Really Worth It
skylinecouple replied to LatinR33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The fact that you already bought the car tells me your hooked. So too late. It`s mans destiny to push it til it breaks. To be honest,I should have stopped at full exhaust. cooler. pump. unichip. boost controller. They were happy days. -
By any chance did you recently install an electronic boost controller? If not set up right can introduce small vacume leak.

Can't Get Good Pedal In Clutch

I feel for you buddy,I did mine last night. That master sure holds some air.Large syringe as Paul stated.Works a treat.Air bubbles rise so inject fluid from bottom. -
Brake Ducts Revision 3 Finished

No these were black with red cross before the move.I get that on quite a few.New to computers. -
Now this is close to my heart.I have asked this question a few times myself.I installed pinapples and this reduced it somewhat but was still almost the same.Replaced the springs and shocks with kings springs and much improved shocks but only a little better again.Still,a worth while improvement.Replaced the wheels with light weight ones and you guessed it,only a slight improvement. After spending what was now a few thousand dollars I was stopping the rear end from trying to rip itself out of the bushes so then replaced the bushes with whiteline ones and this was yet another step in the right direction. So I went to some people in the hot rodding scene and found that they had great success with urathane diff mounting. This means the subframe as well. You see a solid diff is difficult to control due to it`s weight but an IRS has far more mounting points, each one of which has the potential to move under accelleration causing the tyres to bite then skip repeat, repeat etc. etc......My next step is to replace the subframe bushes with urathane and the diff mounts as well.I have a strong feeling this will eliminate axle tramp all together.I know CUBES did this so would be interested to hear if it affected his 32.HEY CUBES,you reading this?

Carbon canister is just that, carbon.Absorbes fumes from petrol tank and petrol then gets sucked into engine under high vacume.leave it there as the police will take a dim view if you chuck it or replace it with a non approved one,ie:chrome or alloy. However,if you decide to hoy it over your shoulder then replace the fuel cap with a non-vacume type or on a hot day there may be a little pop from your fuel tank.

Pinging Dilema - Need Advice
skylinecouple replied to Drivebai's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have to ask, do you have a standard dump and what boost controller do you run? Which intercooler? I had exactly the same problem, now solved.Try to remember the hiflow is not a very efficient exhaust housing and can cause problems in this timing area.I don`t care what people say, the power is usually limited to 220kw but I will concede some have done better.Which is why i ask about setup. -
Best Turbo For 'my' R33 Gtst
skylinecouple replied to series2r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
A couple of posts up he said full boost by 3,800rpm.Sounds good.Damn,I can`t decide between hksGTRS or 3040 .63 or 3076 or 3071.I do know that I have spent a lot of time and money on my GCG hiflow and still have 220rwkw. -
Best Turbo For 'my' R33 Gtst
skylinecouple replied to series2r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey Dan,what power you running now? Boost? -
Just an opinion but usually means cat is blocked by melting or broken pieces inside blocking it.
-
I had a similar problem and discovered the wastegate arm was hitting the bracket that holds the heat cover because the new dump had a thinner flange. This prevented the wastegate from opening fully and capping boost to 15psi.Anthing over and boost would spike all over the place. However, the duty cycle could be lowered then turn up gain til it spikes then back off a little.
-
Sorry, forget last post,I see you have standard turbo.Still, check exhaust. But my first thought boost wise would be the EBC.I take it you have tuned the EBC to the best it can be.IE:turn up the gain til starts to spike then turn down slightly. If gain is to low it will do exactly what you have described.
-
Hmmm, restrictive exhaust? Standard? should still be coming on at 2,700rpm.As usual we need more info,I asume the turbo is standard and same with everything else.Low k`s or has the car been boosted or cooler added? Check simple stuff first like crushed exhaust.
