  1. In that case keep it on unless the police say otherwise.I doubt you would notice any difference though.I just really have a dislike for unnessesary noise.
  2. Well that helps. yes, certainly exhaust leak.
  3. Stock air box should be ok til 250kw.Just take out the padding in the lid.
  4. Lets hope it wasn`t remapped for much higher octane fuel. You need to get that thing on a dyno and check if it is safe.
  5. Just from personal experience, I used the 910 for some time and was never a problem. Be aware that some people take the anti flow back device off to get more flow. This should support up to 260kw. I still think the 910 is too small and should only be used as a direct replacement only.I mean to support standard power levels. If you take the flow back fitting off you will never be able to start it first time, needs three primes to start.Ok if not in a hurry to get going. Do not hesitate to get a tomei or Nismo fuel pump. Direct fit and quiet. Will support three times standard power.Comes with own bracket. Old out, new in.No wires to change as has new factory wire and plugs. From now on everything I buy will be nismo.
  6. Listen to Beer Baron, go the Nismo. Straight swap and quiet.Besides, how many drift cars do you see with Bosch stickers on the door.
  7. Quick, can someone please go out to the garage right now, set up a flow test for injectors then rush back and let us know the results?
  8. No need to worry. Up to 30 is fine but 15-20 is better.Below 10 and you will lose crispness.
  9. Hey Dave, another skyline in Leumeah ! Got to be a good thing. Just a thought, getting the car tuned the other day at the Hitmans and took the lid off the airbox, well guess what, a whole 2kws. No thanks. The standard airbox flows heaps til around 240kw.The sucking noise from a pod, enclosed or not will drive you nuts.
  10. You will get more cabin noise as the cast iron dump is far quieter. But if you heat wrap the stainless dump this will make it comfortable. And yes, there is a noticable difference but mostly when you go bigger turbo and up boost.
  11. The 4door is 4cm longer so the tip will be too short. Now since you can`t cut and move all the hangers, just cut the end off the muffler, and weld on a new tip 4cm longer.Down side is you lose the logo on the tip but can change the tip for a smaller one or even oblong or square like XR8. I know because thats what I had to do.Let me tell you a 4" tip is far less noticable but still looks good, and by the way, get mild steel as it will still outlast the car. OH and by the way, the power extreme will be too loud so get a fujitsubo legalis or HKS super dragger.Whack on an extra hotdog and you`ll be legal and no drone.
  12. Like any mod I guess you have to change the tune to suit.
  13. I also seem to recall a thread on here somewhere about the subject and nobody actually tested one to see if it does what they say it should.
  14. Surely splitfires must have more kick in them than standard.
  15. OK. Sounds like no noticable difference then.Perhaps some sort of spark enhancement that would allow 1.1mm gap and better fuel economy at 17lbs boost ?
  16. Hey Guys and Girls, Thinking about taking up Slides offer on the coils but out of curiosity, did anybody feel a noticable difference after installing them? OK, I know if your coils are cracked, der !, there will be a difference. My coils are perfect though, so I would like to hear about better fuel economy or smoother, better power.Perhaps even 1.1mm gap without misfires. Just curious
  17. Take some advice and save the money from the boost gauge to buy a electronic boost controller. It will tell you boost and control it better.
  18. The late model motors like mine will have a black smooth crank angle sensor. They are really an R34 motor and the sensor has a different drive on it to the series 1& 2.
  19. Absolutely Dan.The little bugger may slot in first try.But when your tired and lose patience it may take a couple of goes.
  20. I started by turning my set gain to zero and gain to 10. Then ended up at 16 on the gain before boost started to spike past the 15lbs I was aiming for.So I turned the gain back to 15 and held boost perfectly. Then I turned the set gain to 4lbs less than my boost(15lbs) so set gain is 110.But you might find a little difference due to your setup but very little.Try 80 as a set gain.
  21. 12 lbs is the accepted limit with stock turbo.
  22. 1% is exceptable .
  23. Hi cat spew. Start by telling me what combination you have.IE:turbo, intercooler.I have the spec II and it controls boost perfectly.Unfortunately even the people who sell them dont know how to set them up.(some any way).
  24. There should be a metal plate over a plastic plate with two slots cut in it located around 10 inches below the top of the tank. The tabs of the fuel pump mounting bracket slip into those slots. And yes it is a back breaking pain in the arse.
  25. can someone please tell me why people pay good money to put trashcan lids on their cars instead of real wheels? If the hottest cars in the world have dish, what makes people think having no dish will be better? I must be getting old because I have no interest in cars that dont do anything anymore. And yes I have owned a 55 chevy,a 56 and two 57`s.Dont get me wrong,I appreciate the work involved but 20kilo`s of extra fibre glass and leather not to mention sound systems that would equal the anchor of the QE2 dont make cars faster or appealing.Just raving I know.To each his own I suppose.
