Troy: Yeah.... It seems to be the nature of the business.... You either adapt to new positions and such as they come along or you fall behind and drop out of the race.... Damn the continously moving forward business we are in!!!

Hmmm true.... If you have the cash ( which I don't ) you can actually get some of these qualifications, or at least modules done in a week!!! Granted they cost a smal fortune though!!!

Hmm not a bad effort..... I would like to go and get another certification but the costs and my apparent lack of motivation are stopping me so far.... Perhaps a Cisco ( which can now be done at TAFE ) or a Novell certification... both of which we use at work... I don't know what sort of coverage Novell has in the marketplace these days but its what I use daily at work so I figure that would be the most usefull to me... My career has gone off on a tangent though .... I did the computer systems diploma so 99% of my training is in computers which is where I started in my job.... then after some redundancies I also inherited the RF paging networks of WA, now after further redundancies and restructures I need to support the Telecommunications 3G network we are building!!!! Most of which I have had no training in and no nothing about!!!! Interesting times ahead

Yeah that sounds about right..... Those were the days.... I swear we must of played cards about 2 hours each day back then.... It was cool. Luckily I am one of those people that the information just soked in without a great deal of attention/effort

Yeah I know that lecturer very very well.... What we couldnt work out though is she was quite often in that little building across the road in the public carpark next to the Tafe... we never could work out what the deal was with her!!!

Hmm sounds pretty common Out of my group of friends that went ( about 9 or 10 ) I am the only one to actually recieve the Diploma!!!! I think its now sitting in my cupboard at home somewhere!!!!

Hmmm I never heard of that one!!!!! But ohhh yeah there were some very very nice looking ladies doing that course.... many of us on several occasions came very close to swapping courses!!!!

Yeah the paperwork is kind of important!!! We couldn't have been two far apart in the course then.... Alot of my mates from tafe ended up finding jobs at the end of the course, and to this day still have like 1 subject outstanding and the refuse to finish the course.... And we finished about 4 years ago!!!!

Oh and Howard Baker!!!! He was so cool..... Hehe the way he said he couldnt get done for descrimination because he descriminated against everyone!!!! Yeah you turned up... you passed..... Glad I didnt have him for any serious classes though!!!! Only ones like occupational health and safety and writing workplace documents and such!!!

Haha.... Yeah now that you mention it I have always thought your face was familiar.... I just put it down to one of those faces that you think you know but you don't know.... Yeah Geoff was really cool.... I knew him pretty well..... I think towards the end though he left as he was appointed to another position and was rarely at AMTC... I am trying to remember the old guys name..... Ahh I cant think of it for the life of me!!!! Wasnt it Kim Gates or something??? I had him for several classes over the course of my studies there... What course did you do there??? Was it an Electronic or a Computer Systems Diploma or something different???

Yep.... Sure did.... About 4 or so years ago now .... I assume you also went there??? I don't know of too many training facilites that you can do PLC programming in???

How would you even identify which LSD you have??? I sometimes wonder if my R33 has any of these special enhancements??

Enjoy your lunch. Hmmm sounds like a very interesting package.... I did quite alot of C++ Programming and some PLC work back in TAFE, but that was about 4 Years ago now.... Thats why my questions are so vague... as is my memory Oh well thanks for taking the time to answer/indulge my questions... I find it interesting.... Hiya, Nah.... I don't get paid until friday..... ( Damn monthly pay days ) so until then I have about 20c to my name... I am going to try to scrape together a small amount of cash for the West Perth lunch this week though... The car is runnin pretty good although my brakes are becoming hell sqeaky.... Its becoming really annoying...
