  1. i was speaking to another guy on the forums. also has an rb25det in a solvia. and he was running one of the series 5 turbos. he used the stndard manifold but just got two of the exhaust studs relocated. it cost him $20 to get done. The car ran 13.8 on 8 psi at 106mph so cant be doing to bad. just another way instead of spending mega dollars. the turbos go for around $200 and then you could get it rebuild and hiflowed for around $800. wouldn'd be a bad idea for the price. i think he said it spooled up at 4000 rpm.
  2. to be honest is lag really shit to have on the street. Whats 500 rmp in the context of going for that extra power. when boost does hit its gonna be a heap of fun.http://www.rotorworx.com.au/perfor_turbo.html heres a link i just found, with a few other turbos you might not have looked at. seem reasonably priced too for what they are capable of.
  3. he has gone interstate for the long weekend. but i can speak to him wednesday. if thats ok, i'll give you his contact number.
  4. hey, i am in melb. south eastern suburbs. if i can come pick up tommorrow if they are still available let me know. very intersted.
  5. hey, i do have a friend who has a genuine black r32 gtr cooler. he is after $650 for it. let me know and i can organise it, if you are serious. its in south east suburbs of melb.
  6. hey, just advertising for someone. its a r32 gtr black intercooler. genuine one, that the guy has no use for. If you are interested let me know. its $650 (no offers thanks). cheers. in melb and no time wasters.
  7. dont know if u can see it in this one.
  8. nahhits everywhere. front of the cams, to of the plenum, side of the plenum, everywhere. i should have taking a pic from side on low down and half the motor is sticking out really. its mostly the angle of the motor to which kills it, the front of the motor near the cams is just sloping upwards. the new mounts the guys are making will drop it around 2 inches, which will be enough to shut the bonnet, or in worst case avoid a new bonnet scoop. and for the price its cheaper too. (which is rare)
  9. and this is just my favourite pic so i upload this too.
  10. hey meggala. car didn;t start on the weekend. but she has been sent away. see pic for confirmation. getting done at trick fab. all the work up untill start the engine. so no more stuffing around. 1 piece tailshaft, alloy intercooler piping, plenum change, gearbox xmember, new engine mounts, modified sump so it dont hit the sway bar, make the engine sit on an angle so bonnet shuts, oil to air separtor, fitting cooler, thermos, changine some of the black piping around the turbo part. so yeah am pretty pumped.
  11. i reckon putting the engine back in without the gearbox on is way easier. trying to line up the engine mounts is a pain in the arse when the box is attached. when the box is off weight is distributed evenly so u can just drop it down. bolting the box back up can be just as tough though
  12. thanks for that. so they are $1400 with handcontroller brand new now? or saw nengun was selling them second hand for that on there site.
  13. thats pretty damn good, considering you are still running the stock intercooler, and stock boost. 175 kw is about what most people make with a front mount intecooler and some boost (with zorst and stuff too). just make sue you always go back to the same dyno, otherwise comparing results will be inconsistant. if you dont mind me asking, what was the total cost of installing the powerfc. $500 aint too bad, and they didn't blow your motor up so i'd be happy. good stuff
  14. all rb boxes are interchangeable. for instance rb30et box can bolt up to rb25det. the rb30e box is the same as the rb20det box, and that bolts up to the rb25det box. meggala is running the rb25 box on his rb20 box. so yeah all interchangeable.
  15. the gt30 seems very popular for the garret turbos. The gt35 is far to big for street. You can however get places like ray hall to change the front and rear wheels so your turbo does spool up sooner. going for a custom job means that you get exactly what you want. Going for a brand name you cant really go changing it as it isn't really worth it, as the cost u pay is a fare bit. and remember you got for the garret turbo over the name brand you are getting it brand new, not second hand. i'd also like to know what the gt30 goes like on a rb25
  16. finding a yoke will be. not a lot of people sell the yoke by itself, so try get it with your gearbox. dr drift who would you go to, for your custom one piece shafts, i been quoted up round the $300 mark. i am in melb
  17. hey, just curious to all those guys who got there cars tuned with the power fc on the dyno. Who did it? how much it cost, for the tuning, and your powerfc gear? did they blow your engine up, or make it run to lean? were you happy with the result? what did your results show? i am just wondering as the next thing on my to mods list will be this, and i'd just like to know a bit about it really. i am estimating a price of under 2 grand for the full setup, if i can get the power fc and handcontroller for around $1400 from nengun. and tuning would probly be around $400 not to sure though. cheers
  18. is this turbo still for sale? what do they spool up on in rb25dets? this might be worth putting on the sil

    Just Got My Car

I'd say the car yards would sell one like this for around 45 grand. but thats a car yard. so minus up to 8 grand. But why would you want to sell it, after you just imported it. If you got it really cheap i could see why, but going to all the trouble, and then just offloading it, you want to make at least 5 grand profit, on what you paid to get it on road. i like the rear spoiler on that, wish i got that instead of the r32 gtr one. looks clean as a whistle.
  20. car getting towed away tommorow. so unless someone desperatley wants it, and is looking to committ, as i dont wanna change piping. cheers
  21. yes i still have mine. people have this weekend to confirm that they want it. otherwise i shell be putting it on my car, in replace of the stock bov, with the new cooler piping now getting made up next week. so so if u want it say so, or else it will be unavailable. this is a good bov. (p.s i am not fussed about bovs at this stage, so i thought i would sell it to get money for my brakes and other stuff.)
  22. oih! whats the news. well i have this r33 turbo auto box, and i know there is someone out there who wants it. Is it calling your name? You get the torque converter and driver plate aswell, and maybe if you are lucky, i have a 2800 rpm stall converter out of a vl turbo auto box, its my bros, but sure he could work something out. They are jatco 4 speeds, so reckon it would fit, will try first though. anyways. if you want the auto box i am chasing $240 now, and if you want the stally my bro is after $300. Its a ratco one that he bought for his car, but when he bought his new running gear, it already had a stally, so a bit of a bonus. I Am outa here. please buy in melb. :burnout:
  23. hey, seeing as u are online. could you please pm me a price for the front calipers, and the throttle cable. that would be great. i just got that walbro fuel pump in my hands, so might be able to work out some sort of trade. as car is now being delayed for a couple of weeks, with the intercooler piping on mine being done, and all the engine mounts, and crap, then its still gotta get wired. so more delays. let me know. i am free sat day. and i know how u hate making prices up.
  24. meggala, got some sad news for you. bozz is unavailable to wire up the car. However it is getting towed to get the intercooler mounted, eninge mounts modified, gearbox xmemba made up, custom plenum, dump pipe, and new front pipe. so i guess its not too bad, just going about things in reverse. at least i'll get to drive it for the first time i spose. and my bonnet will close.
