i'll get some more info for ya, and let u know. pretty sure it was $480 for the bosch 363's. which are the big mammas of the bosch injectors. not the indy blues dont think though.. i'll get back to you tommorow.
-
for those interested, i think the cost price for 363's was $89 each. inasnt. i know theres another injector as big as the 363;s. i think 036. (not sure getting confused). but to put them on the vl's you only have to shave a little bit of the platic end bit. so no cusotm fuel rail. $165 an injector is a fare wack. i think the ones my mate was looking at was around $480 for the 6. let me know if you are interested. mate should buying a set soon, soo....

for sure. i did do a fare bit of homework. but as this is the first car i have ever had, and ever had experience with, i dont think i have done terribly bad. well yes i have, but at least i'm getting there. been fun though. throwing spanners, and making custom aboirtion tools. and just punching the wall cause u cross threaded the damn screws on the sump. At least i got to give the car some punishment back, when i was belting in the tunnel to fit the box . hey did that 180sx on your website get on the road yet. if so has he run it, wondering what times they get. have to get rid of the 205's on the back quick.

R33 gearbox
dabigbolf replied to <<<aZn_RoMeO>>>'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
with the rb boxes. the vl turbo 5 speed and r33 manual turbo are the strongests. much bigger, and weigh a heap more. Rb20det, vl non turbo, and i would Think that the r33 non turbo would be the same. i know the rb2 and rb30e non turbo are. basically if u want a car to make good power, then get something to hold good power. r33 boxes are basically bullet proof for the average driver. theres always someone who can break them though, which goes with most things. definatley go the rb25det if u can afford it. -
i shell never do another conversion again. hmm. well i might be hooked, never know. i am thinking rb25det in suzuki capucinno! or rx7! hehe someone shoot me. Silly1

I LOST MY CAR KEYS!!!!! have had troubles getting it matched, so the locksmith is making the new lock or something. this sunday is the big day. just need to wire up fuel pump, and starter motor. got everything now. before i send it to get piping done, so yeah i guess i'll pass on the injectors, but yeah you are right, get the thing running. I can toot my horn though! and even make the sunroof go in and out. the power of 12 volts!!!!!!! hehe i get the video camera when i first start it up, and hopefully post it up. better not blow up

hey, hows it going? I am just curious on what injectors people use for rb25dets. What bolt onto the standard fuel rails. Do bosch 363's do the trick. or will a custom fuel rail be needed. I am just asking cause a opportunity may arrise to get them cheaper than normal, if doesn't not fussed, but if it does, i'd just like to know which ones suit my rb25det. I plan on power fc, turbo upgrade, later on, and injectors would be needed. thanks for ya help. p.s what would a set of 363's set me back retail. cheers

F.S r33 air con compressor
dabigbolf replied to dabigbolf's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
The s13 condensor should fit in the r33. It definatley wont be bigger, you can have it for $25 plus post. (this is the radiator type thing you are talking about yeah) the r33 compressor is sold sorry. But I am Sure that all the RB motor ones are interchangeable. try going to a commodore wrecker, could pick one up for around $50 i reckon, or less. this was an old thread, forgotten to say it was sold. i'll message you about the condensor. -
hehe, i'd think not. from what i have gathered it just makes the air go out easier. some just have a little hole, but the venting one, vents more. i think heard someone say they lost a litre of oil due to one, on track day on the vl turbo forums. but that would have been fullstick non stop for 5 or 10 minutes of laps.
-
inasnt whered u get yours how much? and is having it venting to atmosphere better or worse. as i see yours dont have the filter on top. still looks neat though.
-
cool, well my piping is getting made up as of next week, in alloy, and the car hasn't been started for a year. so might aswell get it from the start. might just get the guys to design a catch can too. they are doing all the other custom metal fabs. big plug for trik fab by the way.

well, what a response. i get two answers in one thread. With my car, the only things outside of it that can be defected, would be exhaust (cause they always say its to big), and its to low (cause the front is on its guts now with the heavier motor). I'd rather cop a canary for that than get the car ridden off for having no motor in it. i too know of a place to get rwc, but now i think its got to go to vic roads. so i f i get defected, could mean engineers. But pleading the (do you have a warrant to search), will mean that they will pick the shit out of your car. The way i see it, a majority of defects are given out during the times when the so called "drags are on", anyone else who gets defected during working hours, can consider themselves unlucky. as for the catch can, i think i might just get a custom made one, dont really want to pay for the name brand. any how, one thing i know of someone who had a convesion done, put a latch on his bonnet. So you have to press down on the bonnet, whilst flicking the bonnnet leaver. this way he just plead the bonnet was stuck. playing dumb is the best way i reckon, copper feels sorry for you. But if you act as if u know something thats when they start to do u up the a**. laters

500 hp walbro fuel pumps very cheap
dabigbolf replied to dabigbolf's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
hey, this is definatley an upgrade. However i am gettting some mixed responses from people. This pump is not better than the bosch 040, however its an alternative. Its a good intank fuel pump for the price. I am going to copy this email that i received from someone who has had experience with the pump on his evo. "I use to have one of these pumps in my EVO6, and if you have a good look at the fuel delivery curve that comes with the pump, you will see that 255lph is at no fuel pressure. At 3.2bar (which is approx system pressure) there is about 195lph (13.5V), and under turbo boost ie. 4.2bar approx there is 176lph (13.5v). So this pump is worse off compared to even a Bosch 040 pump which pushes out about 220lph (13.5v) at 3.5bar. Compare it to the NISMO pump at 275lph at 3.2bar and we all know why we have to pay so much for it. I almost blew my engine when I had the Walbro pump in my car because it was at the limit pushing 220rwkw and decided that it would drop from 4.5bar to 3.2bar of fuel pressure at around 6000rpm because it couldn't keep up the fuel flow. If your RB25 is going to make some good hp, you will be at the limit with the Walbro pump. If you want cheap, my advice is to look for the 910 bosch pump instead and have it as a secondary inline." so yeah thats basically what i been told, they seem to proudce less litres at different pressures. Which would make the bosch 040 a better pump. But it depends on how much power you are looking for I spose. But what would be good is if you used this pump as an infeed and the external one as the direct feed as the guy was saying. But depends on your setup. email the guy on the website. he is reliable and i think you pay by paypal. only $160 so i guess its pretty good for the price. Inasnt, you gotta hook me up with one of those $250 044 pumps. i been priced around $380. will give this pump a shot first though. take the info as you see need, it could be the right pump for you, it might not be, ever car is different. laters -
just after opions on them. which one to get? are they worth it? any advantages? any disadvantages? being illegal is not my problem, car already has the wrong motor in it. thanks this will also help me with shutting the bonnet. as the hose from the cam sticks up.

in terms of catch cans what is too loook out for. does size matter with them, or is it all in the design

Hp and 1/4 mile figures for auto r33 turbo?? any 1 got any.
dabigbolf replied to RNS11Z's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
the auto will die at around 170rwkw. getting one rebuilt though would reap great rewards. a nice stall converter, and shift kit. for the price though you could just go a manual, but depends what you want. tuff auto boxes really do give the car a kick in the ass, and give greater access to power though gear changes. (you dont lose as much boost) -
500 hp walbro fuel pumps very cheap
dabigbolf replied to dabigbolf's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
he has all sorts of pumps as you can see. i am not in this to make a buck, just thought i'd pass on a pretty decent buy. And with the australian dollar at around 60 cents (last time i checked), he said my silvia in tank 255litre an hour is only $160 delivered. Now dont think it gets much better than that. he buys thousands at a time thus the cheap price.
