  1. Classifieds rules You should probably give them a read..
  2. Grab release cable with pliers if its broken @ the cabin end, last resort drill out the barrel.
  3. super happy spit polish shine service ftw..
  4. Spotto one SLR McUgly Fark Merc really got it wrong with that car imo
  5. Ouch Chassis rails? Were you distracted or just too close to begin with?
  6. Yay for cops! Judges do some good work also. Seriously though..... . gl with it all, lol
  7. Have any wires been run under the back seat or anywhere else were they might have been able to wear through from rubbing and vibrations? Under the back seat is common, people sit on them, they compress and get worn from vibrations ect, then short out when you hit a bump or anyone sits in the back. Try bouncing on the backseat to see if it happens. Also check the amps earth seeing as the headunit doesn't go out.
  8. The nearest sand bar? Or just the engine block as you would.
  9. Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed Whatever colors you have in your mind I'll show them to you and you'll see them shine Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed Stay, lady, stay, stay with your man awhile Until the break of day, let me see you make him smile His clothes are dirty but his hands are clean And you're the best thing that he's ever seen Stay, lady, stay, stay with your man awhile Why wait any longer for the world to begin You can have your cake and eat it too Why wait any longer for the one you love When he's standing in front of you Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed Stay, lady, stay, stay while the night is still ahead I long to see you in the morning light I long to reach for you in the night Stay, lady, stay, stay while the night is still ahead
  10. Howzat!! Friggin nice catch.. the pic's almost like a time delay shot of one exploding (mid way through)
  11. You have a flat battery.
  12. Depends on the tyres, just the rims....goodluck
  13. Budgeting for resto's or customs never works out. Think of a figure then double it. If you are passionate about the work do it. If not buy someone elses project or finished car and tweak it into your own. The only cars I've done well from are Rods all the other cars i've built were for love/pleasure. No budget, no profits, just fun.
  14. Sexy...a few hints of daytona about it. very nice.
  15. Depends on how many psi it's pooper valve can take. My estimate 12 berjiggitys/1 pollywaffle Looks tough and tight!
  16. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Look a dog with a fluffy tail..
  17. Mazdas 13b chamber is quoted @ 654cc x 2 Sorry Jezz, medium aka what it pumps, whether it be air, gas or syrup makes no difference to displacement it only effects it's efficiency.
  18. If and it can be classified under the accepted standards, why is it treated a an individual case by it's manufacturer? Would it be for market position (a point of difference) profit? Because the standard measurements not only point out the wankels strengths but also it's weaknesses to the uniformed? A pump/engine is just that, this is nothing more than a variation (wankel) of an very old design (rotary pump) Get over it, rotary pumps have been rated this way long before the wankel and will be long after. I won't bow down before Mazda's or wankels renegade attitude and misleading information. I aint broke and it can be measured.. so why change the standard? because Mazda and Wankel say so? That's ridiculous. It's like telling me oak trees must be measured in inches but elms are measured in cm. It serves the same purpose, it can be measured by the accepted industry standard...so P.S my first rotary was a 12a s1 rx7 purchased in 1986 and Gary seems to have a fair understanding of the "otto" cycle I doubt he's confused by it, neither am I.
  19. Oh man...the medium will effect it's efficiencey not the displacement
  20. No of course I didn't advise Wankel, but it was more than a bit audacious of him to try and invent his own measuring stick to better place his product was it not? Industry standard not good enough? how can it not be measure by it's displacement like all other pumps/engine. why is it "special" it serves the same purpose of the other products.. What does it flow? ie: what is it's displacement/swept volume it's output and it's efficiency. what else is there? what else is relative to this wankel engine/pump? Really what other criteria did you have in mind? what else would a mechanical engineer be interested it? It's mass and weight, yes for different reasons in the overall package... For a fresh reference if you cbf going back searching. * note the elliptical movement of the rotar (via the gearset) creating the 4 chambers
  21. Oh lols the true displacement as opposed to? should I meditate to fully embrace the math? Haha Birds.... all pumps/engines be it piston, rotor or impellor are measured using the same methods without bias... <3 fullstops One can't exist without the other so your point was? This has become a farce
  22. Personally I have no opinions on Mazda's "lies" I'd be happy if some posters would recognize displacement as the industry standard it is regardless of Mazda's devious machinations.
  23. Ahh ffs Birds, true to form another epic about nothing. Bore or block walls, piston and head do not make up the combustion chamber ? go figure correct add them all up to evaluate an engine but it is not relative to its displacement or swept volume.
  24. Mmmm top, bottom, walls. yes they all define the size of the combustion camber. flat tops or dished pistons do contribute to the size of the combustion chamber and are a part of such. The same goes for the rotar and it's housing.
  25. .... and you label Gary pedantic. Displacement is displacement. It can be referred to it as swept volume if you prefer but it's all the same calculation regardless of bore/stroke ratios. Yes to re-iterate myself "Different bore and stroke formulas can have equal displacement but vastly different performance, I know amazing hey." We are discussing how to calculate an engines cubic,cc,litre capacity/displacement here are we not? or have we switched over to power/torque output formula's along with your turbocharged tangent? Yes evaluating an engine comes down to displacement, output (power) and efficiency but that is not the question at hand is it? A duck will always be a duck just as a goose will always be a goose.. Please stop trying to paint this duck up to look like a goose. I realise you love a good debate, but why not let common sense and the recognised "standard" prevail this time.
