Drivers aids? nothings more fun than driving a "tradtional" rod, It's like a driving a big go-Kart. Meh drum brakes are fine when adjusted and maintained correctly, put a booster on and they're as sharp as you'll need. Valiant ap6 v8's used vented-boosted drums to good effect, so have the many traditional rods I've parked my ass in over the years. I like em raw on the w/ends and refined during the week.

Shhhhh....... everyone needs love Tony,Ugly women.... even big handed freaks.

If it was possible to drive while blindfolded I'd also own a new subi. Technically brilliant, aesthetically yawn/barf It'd be like going to bed drunk and finding a highly skilled yet very ugly woman already in your bed. Turn off the lights and you're in for a good time, but next morning something doesn't sit quite right and although you had fun you're not really going to brag about it in the light of day.

Big Balls Or Skinny Knob?
madbung replied to Tony de Wonderful's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Big hands...big knob Or so the saying goes. Get the right sized knob to suit your hand. -
Who are you building this so far fictional car for? Why ask for opinions on cosmetics from the peanut gallery.........you'll be the one driving and paying for it. Build it to your own taste, then it will be your car. As long as you like it who cares what the "vogue" crowd think.

Tyre Width - Noticable Difference?
madbung replied to evil_weevil's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Same weight, same track, smaller footprint. Of course the difference will be noticable for sporting applications. They'll also "go off" quicker. -
New tyres will always be slippery, it can take a while for their "waxiness" to wear off. Alternatively what tyres are you running? nankangs or anything similarly crap will always be a awful in the wet. Or bricks for rear shocks? The only times I have issues is after a dry spell when the first rains hit...rain + a build up of oil on the road can be fun.

Cheapest and most legal way to increse your performance is to improve your power to weight ratio... Remove hicas, remove body kit, subs and whatever other bling or doof it has. Get some lightweight rims There'd be well over 100kg to be saved without getting serious. A lighter car = a better car allround.

Anthing placed on the footpath for hard collection day is the property of the company contracted to remove said rubish by the council. People get fined all the time for taking hard waste from the nature strip. I still love hard waste day although I'm almost continuously running into the back of the car infront while I scan the footpaths for old audio gear.

Pretty sure they're all 4 seaters, although I haven't been in an old r32 in sometime. The r33 is the superior car out of the 3 hands down. If you do get a 32 get the gtr grill and bonnet they really look like ass with that Daewoo espero type bonnet. Then you'll be thinking the rb20 is a tad wheezy so why not drop in an rb25, engineered ofcourse + brakes ect ect Mmmm result = if it wasn't so ugly and dated it'd almost be as good as a stock r33 but @ twice the $$$$$ The r33 was not a step backwards in engineering or styling, it was a big step up. Reminds me of a guy that will argue till the death that the eh holden is the best car ever produced bar none, totally deluded.. everything that came after has been an advance the same goes for Nissans... newer = better unless a raw old banger is what gets your juices flowing go the latest car you can afford. Then again, the s1 r33 with no a/bags, body kit or bling and hicas removed.. when set up correctly is quiet a nimble, fun car and probably the logical choice for a cheap semi-serious fun car base being lighter and cheaper to repair ect.

Haha...you must be a lawyer. "steal by finding" Wouldn't that be just normal theft? regardless of whether the last registered owner or council claims possesion (after the nominal tow grace period). "goods in custody"?? Is that a distant cousin to "being in possesion of stolen property" OP if you want the car do as suggested and wait for the council auction or place your own note on the car, I'm sure if the owner see's it he'd prefer $ from you than no car and a possible fine from the council. If someone does respond check licenses and rego papers ect to cover yourself before taking possesion.

Lived there a few years myself, I reckon it's somewhere between a wart on the arse of humanity and just "ok" imo...

Nice buy....did the car come from Baxter in Vic? I'm pretty sure this used to be parked outside the fish n chip shop on f/ton-flinders rd. If not it's the clone of that car.

Being Told To Open The Bonnet After Being Pulled Over
madbung replied to Astro Bear's topic in Victoria
Yeah thats right, the courts don't like it when when cases come before them with actual evidence collected by officers of the law. No matter how hard you try You can't stop me now No matter how hard you try You can't stop me now Yes, my skin is black But that's no reason to hold me back Oh think about it, think about it, Think about it, think about it Think about it, think about it, think about it. I have wants and desires just like you So move on aside cause i'm a-comin' through Oh no matter how hard you try you can't Stop me now No matter how hard you try you can't stop me now. Yes, your skin is white Does that make you right Walk on and think about it, think about it Think about it, think about it Think about it, think about it, think about it. This is a message, a message to y'all Together we stand divided we fall Black is a color just like white Tell me how can a color determine whether You're wrong or right We all have our faults yes we do So look in your mirror (Look in the mirror) What do you see? (What do you see?) Two eyes, a nose and a mouth just like me. Oh your eyes are open but you refuse to see The laws of society were made for both You and me Because of my color I struggle to be free Sticks and stones may break my bones But in the end you're gonna see my friend Say it … (No matter how hard you try you can't stop me now) Say it … (No matter how hard you try you can't stop me now)a Say it loud! I’m Black and I’m Proud! (No matter how you can’t stop me now.) Say it loud! I’m Black and I’m Proud! (No matter how you can’t stop me now.) -
