  1. Nah I'm not kidding at all...so why not strip the r35 and swap some carbon fibre panels. Like for like... by the time all the added electronics are moved across and you strengthen the chassis of the r34 to handle it + new mounting points ect. You can't just slap it in there and throw some plates on it. It'd be very close in weight... Just think about it a little.
  2. Never had a car loan in over 20yrs of driving, i've leased a couple but personally I think If i can't afford to pay for it...I can't afford to drive it. A car dealer with a 30k car will have between 2-5k of puff in their price..so min 1.5k off. Private sales are fun, if you're any good you can generally crunch the shit out of the price and get a far better deal than a yard can offer. But never forget Caveat emptor.
  3. There's probably 100kg + of wiring and electronics, strenghtening the chassis to take the weight and power. Doubt it'd come in much under the r35's weight, if at all.
  4. ^^^ yeah could be right re: shute, it's possible when the body came off he was knocked out...didn't seem to get off it at all after that moment. Damn shame.
  5. Thats a fairly heavily developed rx, the gtr sounds almost whisper quite in comparison.... Was it just a stock road car? Sorry I don't speak Japanese...but I did catch them say the rx had a killer engine. Was a fun clip, thx.
  6. I've also tried demanding a few things over the years, It seldom works out as expected The new nsx will be around in 2010-11, with those extra yrs of development it should be something special. Until the next one ofcourse. Still looks like a crx front welded to a bmw's ass to me though.
  7. Noboby's attacking you fella, you made the post and asked for comments..now you wish you could edit it because it doesn't show you in a good light? Buyers remorse, too many beers? The rest of your posts in this thread pretty much sum it up. You're welcome
  8. You can clearly see the shute deploy...surely they'd be fireproof. Poor fella, atleast it was quick on all counts. R.I.P
  9. What's a latte?....Says the mexican. Nice tongue in cheek rev...seems to have offended some folk though. Humour, it really is subjective...especially on a Sunday morn.
  10. ^^^ exactly, poor form. No feedback, unsure? don't bid!!
  11. I've got a couple of r33 smic laying around, they'd get you through. But as Dezz said it's not the easier option.
  12. Seen a few ali-style skylines around but never a cali-style one....interesting.
  13. S1=No airbag=weight saving & cheaper to repair for low speed impacts. S1.5 & 2=airbag=xtra weight, safer but higher repair costs. That's the way I look at them anyway....
  14. Cooper s box or john cooper works box?...you'd think they'd be stronger.
  15. I hear what your saying Ant, but in a hydraulic system it is sealed...no air should ever be in it if it's bled correctly. If the pedal's hitting the floor thats a fair whack of air in there, if the master or slave has colapsed it wouldn't work at all and as I said if air is being introduced the same amount of fluid must be expelled. I'd try a gravity bleed on it before I went handing out any cash.
  16. Sucking in air....wouldn't it be pushing out fluid instead? If the sytem is sealed (good) and bled correctly, it can't really suck anything in without first pushing something out. Check for fluid leaks, if none re-bleed.
  17. The man basically says the car is too good for him...he can't find it's limits and even Shoemaker would struggle to push it 10% towards it's out edge. He's not keen on the styling (alot have said the same on first sight). He thinks the electrickery is too clever...in other words it keeps you safe and fast. Excellent outcome for the GTR.
  18. Damn it, you killed the fun Why educate people, who have no discernable interest in educating themselves? Back on topic.. if you cease abusing your engines they may cease seizing.
  19. It's true then...Is it an ex taxi with an autobahn spoiler on the back as the rumour goes?
  20. Checking the manual it says, If I turn the ignition off it will cease running. Scary shit right there
  21. He saw one once...one sunny day
  22. Don't listen to him...he's never been in a skyline
  23. Only one way to find out Hoss.
  24. Absolute rubbish, re: oil thickness...If someone can say why running thicker oil will make a grinding crunching mechanical noise on start pls share. Thicker oil takes longer to fill lifters ect on start up so you'll get an extended tappet type noise until they fill up thats all. It can not make grinding or crunching sounds, it's oil !!....thats the noise mechanical problems make. This forum is becoming rife with bad advice..
