El'retardo aka 3lit3 i'm not your mate, I thought that had been established previously... I haven't said anything derogatory re: your girlfriends language skills, his English seems fine for someone who's obviously learning and saying any different would be racist and plain rude, wtf are you on...have you been inhaling brake dust ?? As for the rest of your puerile tirade, nice work but your meandering point is?..Mine was: I don't think giving a mate a ride in your car means you own him and to think that way is selfish, to bag a friend out who was busy with his own life instead of coming to hold your hand on the side of the road immediately when summoned?? Pffft get over yourself and grow a set. So congratulations for you Daniel for going the extra yards well done champ, what a human being. If I had know he'd only been in the country for such a short time your actions as his mechanic would have made more sense. Don't forget to charge gst on your loaded prices fella!! Try not to suck him totally dry while you at it though..lol mechanics are your friends!! sir Lancelot @ $60.00 an hour what a guy! Seriously If your going to make broad statements re: my posts and attitude you should back it up with facts not just bullshit & say that you've read all my post ect....because you obviously haven't. Lies and exaggerations were a module of your tafe qualification though weren't they? I'll end with some humour...what's the difference between a lawyer and a mechanic the mechanic was dropped on his head as a child. SHYSTER feel free to have another whinge to the forum mods if you like

Let me see if i've got this right..... you're driving around in a car with an obviously visible defect (probably the most obvious of all defects) that can be spotted from just about any distance and you wonder why a cop does a u-turn to do a vehicle inspection?? *cough*cough*cough* wake up fella!!

I stand by my opinions... If a mate of mine needed advice with a mechanical problem I give it over the ph or tell him to get it towed I'll be over later for a look...unless ofcourse It was an easy fix like hoses ect. If anyone I know asked me to drive out and hold their hand to calm their nerves while they wait to be towed for a simple breakdown..I'd be forced to call them Mary or Nancy (mood dependant), tell him he has a heart like a rabbit and suggest some possible treatments for his inability to cope in simple everyday situations. But that's just the opinion of a fully functioning adult not the panicked actions of a prepubescent school girl

You should have called the TOWTRUCK in the first place.. The guy who came out to see if he could fix a gearbox/clutch/diff problem on the side of the road to save you a few dollars in towing is a bigger goose than you. I have a friend who has a similar logic to yours, he also thinks it's his right to f**k his friends around for half a day in a futile exercise so long as @ the end of it he thinks he's saved a $. If you don't make unreasonable demands you'll find you'll be less disappointed in your friends, also cruising with a mate is hardly something that warrants you demanding some sort of favour in return. So many people today seem to gauge a friends worth by what services they can get out of that person, friendship is companionship and sharing common interests...not just keeping peeps around because they're are an asset you may need to use someday. Poor form...twisted perception and bad parking!!

Yeah it's a good start for sure, but those in the know have heard whispers that any excise cuts would be minimal and offset by an across the board retail price increase anyway. The govt are part of the whole conspiracy and happily dance to the tune of their puppet masters...the Vietnamese & Chinese dim-sim cartels!. Sadly if you want to run with the big boys and have the best gear you'll have to pay whatever premium these leecherous cartels decide

That's what happens when the government allows large multi-nationals to create an oligopoly...whats next crab sticks!!!! FFS

There are laws against watching kids in carparks... Leave the kids alone PRE-VERTS!!!

Is he Victorian? Do you have his workshop address (where you shipped the car in july) or any contact details you can share? If he's from my side of town i'd be happy to drop by his workshop and remind him of his obligations to you..

Do tell, we all know of Paul Denyer, the fat kid used to pump petrol for me weekly @ Langwarrin service station (did I push him over the edge? we'll never know ). I can't recall any other "serial killers" known to the area, killers yeah... but actual serial killers? Have I forgotten something? Interesting.
-
Yep we had one...he wasn't very good at his job though, got caught fairly easily. Now why don't you piss off back to Moe, Morwell or whatever other outpost of Tasmanian immigrants you've escaped from

Seriously some of you people have no idea.. If Melbs S.E beachside suburbs are such a concern maybe you're not suited to living down here.. Perhaps Sydney's Nth shore would be more suitable, where men with handbags don't rate a second glance. Anyone that believes that Frankston is half as bad as that slanderous moron on TV has spent the past 10yrs making it out to be (all to get a rise out of Brereton) is suffering from the same mental deficiencies as Newman himself. To compare Frankston to Dandenong or Springvale?? Frankston has a class divide like a lot of coastal areas, we have multi-million dollar bayside homes in the sth and the old ex-commission area in the nth. You can't categorise this CITY as just a "working class suburb" unless of course your a paid clown in the media with a penchant for handbags and plastic surgery. I dunno...maybe it's true and the youth of today really do have "hearts like rabbits" trembling with fear.. stabbing blindly at whatever bumps into you in the shadows and darkness!!
-
Nope doesn't come with either of those...nor does it come with rust...ever It's little wonder the big three made sure he failed.
-
Frankston's no worse than any other city and a lot better than most. Like most places there's a good side of town and a bad (poor) side of town. As suggested get an alarm + club lock as a visible deterrent and leave no valuables in view and you should have no probs..just like anywhere else. Being a long term resident on the peninsula and Frankston, I can tell you first hand a lot of Frankston's problems don't stem from it's residents, the majority are caused by dumbasses from surrounding suburbs that don't have their own local clubs/pubs/beaches ect. So yeah fri/sat nights in town can be an eye opener but most residential areas are ok. In Victoria I've also lived in Cranbourne, Narrewarren and Dandenong and had my home and cars broken into at all addresses. After 11yrs of living in Frankston's sth with no problems what so ever I can't complain, It's a nice place to live, with good infrastructure and nice beaches, It's little wonder we get a few scumbags hanging around on the w/ends. R33 skylines don't rate a second glance down here (lots around) so I wouldn't be overly concerned. Oh yeah, Sam Newman enjoys oral sex with small fluffy animals.........I sincerely hate that imbecile, taking his hatred of Brereton out on Frankston is indicative of his limited intellect and sexual prowess, nothing more.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I see a distinct lack of comprehension between right & wrong in some of what I've read, to the point that stating the obvious would be boring... Re: the rights of the individual to choose to do as he pleases because it's all fun and nobody got hurt. V's the rights of the general public to be able to go about their business without risk of injury or worse while out walking or in transit. Licences are not a right, you have no rights as an individual driver. Your licence is given with some pretty well defined rules that you're expected to obey if you want to keep it, but more importantly for the safety of others. It's not really an argument is it? I feel sorry that your car was confiscated for a first offence? That's a big loss for a couple of seconds of fun. Have they just impounded the car for a set time or has it been seized permanently? Either way it's a hard way to learn a lesson, goodluck in court but I think it may be a waste of time a more $$

I remember when these were first released, delorean had a lot of car makers running scared with his ideas. "A car that could last a man a lifetime", imagine that!!, great for the environment, not a bad idea...especially in the disposable 1980's. Add some rumoured industrial espionage and it's a very interesting history for a very interesting car. It's a shame that manufacturing costs and the price tag were so prohibitive. @ 55k it's a worthy investment and at when peak oil hits us at least you'd have something with a decent scrap value Oh and sif paint stainless.....just hit it with the buff, beautiful.

Since about 2 decades before you got pubes most probably..... Yeah it's stretch, but it's the only car above a generic shopping trolley that was mentioned as a "fwd sports car" that actually fits into a semi-sports category
-
I've never seen the English language used purely as decoration and not communication before.... And you wonder why people are quoting Wiggum at you I think we may have found the real Ralphy
-
All the cars you mention are designated and marketed as sporty variations of a standard production hatch or sedan....none are considered sports cars, the closest you have mentioned to a "sports car" is the Celica which at a pinch is in the same class of car as our beloved Skylines, GT (grand tourer) not "sports car" Putting an S badge on a car doesn't make it a sports car, nor are they being marketed as such. pfffft sports cars...cough

Appealing For A Suspened License For Thoese People Has Done This Before
madbung replied to MFC05's topic in Queensland
You're asking for the wrong advice....after getting caught speeding while on a demerit point extention the only advice you need is where to buy some comfortable shoes -
I aspire to be a grumpy old man some day I read somewhere that rage is a common thing with older men and in a lot of cases it can be attributed to a chemical imbalance....testosterone or estrogen, too much or too little of one or the other, I can't remember which. Anyway ironically there is a "chill pill" available that would turn him into the pleasant lawn bowling grandpa the he should be.

Any more pics?? will you take $100 + freight? I might pay more, after all it is what it is.... Australia's-fastest-growing-demand I demand you learn the language of the country you reside in!!

Sounds fair Sir-D

To state the obvious...in business it is better to have money in the bank earning % for you than spending it on stock before its necessary. Also if the car gets stolen or even damaged it's money lost never to be seen again isn't it? rwc are never done before a contract is signed. I spent 8yrs of my life doing this for a living (valuations and sales) and I'll tell you first hand it's how all used car dealers do business.

Are Import Buyers Are Getting D**cked?
madbung replied to Modena's topic in General Automotive Discussion
To put it simply you buy the car not the odometer reading...let common sense prevail and you'll be fine. It really makes me laugh when people say a 94-95 mdl car showing 120k with books is too high and they end up buying an import with 70k on the clock with no history, dubious condition at a higher price than the honest car with 120ks.. You might as well get wood duck tattoo'd on your forehead Pfffffft -
They are all roadworthy items and would have to be fixed before delivery. The way it usually works is you sign a contract, place a deposit and then they get the roadworthy items fixed. Not the other way around. I have done business with XXXX @ XXX before and found him to be fair and extremely negotiable, communication can be difficult @ times with the language barrier but if you get it in writing you can't get ripped off can you? It's all basic bussiness sense really and the way it's always been done. I'd assume he's agreed to do those items pre-delivery not pre test drive the same as any car yard would.
