Suspension Height Uneven
madbung replied to my_gtr32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
A lot of cars come out of the factory with the left lower to compensate for the camber in the road, dunno re: skylines..I'll go measure mine now...Found this out myself after doing my 62 ford the other week, i ended up getting some springs custom made the same height because every off the shelf set was the same also checked the 4 set of old springs I have, same story and they wouldn't sell me 2 rights or 2 lefts....bastards!! -
Nice sensible first car fella..well done.

Street racing is for bums fella..also unless you've put some $$$$ into you're liner be prepared to be ripped and ripped often, stockish liners are a very nice well balanced car and are awesome fun to drive, but are far from what I'd consider quick under any circumstance. Shit my parts runner 62 falcon ute with a warm 289 and stock C4 will destroy any stock and many a semi serious liner @ the "traffic lights gp" Although i don't know the specs of your ride I'm assuming it's not a big dollar/horsepower beast be prepared to lose to a lot of cars you think you should be able to beat until you put a bucket load of cash into performance upgrades like I eventually did. Don't get me wrong you'll rip n/a ricers ect np's but don't be disappointed when some bogan in his cheap ass'd old big cube rust bucket hands you your ass on a plate. Did I mention street racing is dangerous? /edit ... old thread...got me good, a55monkee!!!

Well i'm off to the pancake parlour...that rabbit looks yummy. *On a more serious note, SIF BE ANTI NISSAN... regardless of age, cubes, rwkw, colour, doors, trim level,n/a,turbo and aesthetics. You bigots make me sick........sick I says!!!

Bwahaha..somethings never change hey, It was rife almost 20yrs back when I was there, my poor gf @ the time copped it a couple of times, being a tall attractive blonde girl she had to be very cautious re: travelling in Japan. /edit could it be a side affect of living in a repressed and prudish society?? I wonder

If they're not red and are that smokey colour I'd be interested Dezz, I just hate driving with the windows up even in the coldest of winter weather and honestly without them it seems like the car was designed specifically to flow as much water as possible into the cabin without em. Even with the window opened slightly and forget about using the windscreen washers it's bad...check it out for yourself, but if you do pull em off pm me pls.

Talk to an importer and ask for a favour...theres probaly a half cut or 2 floating around with the bits you need or buy off e-bay. Neo.. Neo...Neo!!!

The only comment on wiper blade that matters is Buy steel backed ones!! why? coz they actually keep working to a r.w.c standard longer than 1 weekend. Plastic ones can't apply the same pressure between blade and screen and after a short period are no longer effective, making them defective!!

yep peak oil and quantum physics, i'm undecided which freaks me out more atm. I fully understand where the saying "ignorance is bliss" comes from. Sometimes it's better or atleast easier being ignorant regarding things that are totally out of your control.

Clutch Problem Plz Help
madbung replied to whiteknight's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I'd take it back and ask...no demand a new clutch be fitted and adjusted correctly. Reason being if it's been slipping (due to a poor install/adjustment) it's now worn more than it should be under normal operation and I wouldn't find that acceptable nor should you. -
Bugatti Veyron Dethroned Already?

7 speed DSG AWD 407km/h in production spec and it actually sticks to the road at those speeds Nuff said -
Engineering Done !!
madbung replied to TokyoTaxi's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
What state are you guys in? down here (vic) you certainly don't need an engineer cert for aftermarket parts..so long as your new parts don't make the vehicle unroadworthy or alter emissions and are within the accepted modifications guidelines np's. ie: car still has 100mm clearance, or db levels/emissions aren't outside the legal limits it's still a roadworthy vehicle, tyres aren't wider than the guards, offset and track are still to spec ..ect ..ect. All parts sold from retail outlets for street use should have conformed to all the necessary adr, manufacturing and government regulations or they wouldn't be allowed to retail them in the first place. If my insurance company took this stance with me they'd be on the losing end of a claim and lawsuit. It sounds to me like some officious little insurance man has made his own interpretation of a clause or sub clause. If your car is of a roadworthy condition and you've got all your legal mods listed on your policy they'd be laughed out of court I'd imagine. As if mildly modded cars that have bolt on (within roadworthy spec) modifications need to be "engineered" have a read of the relevant adr's, roadworthy and modifications requirements for your state and save yourselves some $$$ -
Yeah it's fair enough to be pissed off Babylon, just don't stay that way If every intelligent individual out there tried to influence one or two sheep each we'd be heading in the right direction, the best thing you can do is talk to your mates and hopefully they'll realise that the other 19.95 million real aussies feel the same as you do regarding this distasteful mess...Disgusted.

lmao babylon...wtf is an Aussie anyway, only 2% of Australians are indigenous Australians. Do you have citizenship? an aussie passport? If you do you're as Aussie as the rest of us, yeah I'm of anglo descent and proud of my heritage the defining over riding point is I"m descended from Anglo-Saxons but I am Australian. Follow you heart you come across as an intelligent young man until you start quoting your small minded friends. Don't become one of the mob, there are 3 sides to choose from in this situation 1.Racists anglo's, 2.Racist ethnics or 3. the huge majority of this country who think both groups 1 and 2 are friggin nutz. Be counted in group 3 with the rest of us non ignorant Australian residents. Don't just go bahhh and place yourself in a tiny lil box. Aussies are all creeds, colors and religions sadly some of the people in our country don't understand this, the majority of these tossers could also be medically classified as simpletons.

*cough* go the youth of today, little wonder the country is in the state it is.. *cough*

Strange accident, I've never had that happen to me. My speed is always a direct correlation with how far I depress the accelerator. enjoy the fresh air and exercise for the nxt 6 mths thankfully this wont apply, a demerit point extension is for when you're at the limit or your points and they let you choose either 1. cop 3mths suspension now or 2. Keep driving but if you get 1 more point in the nxt 12mths you're out for 12mths.30+ kph over the limit is an instant loss of licence no options.
-
Yep have an accident and you'll feel the full brunt of the law and rightly so. Worst of all compulsary third party(a component of registration that covers personal injury claims) would be voided ie:You hit someone and injure them, you are financially responsible for the injuries, rehab, death, ect, ect with absolutley no tac assistance or valid insurance it'd most probably make an enormous dent in your finances for possibly the rest of your life. Hardly worth the risk, wait it's the only option unless you're an absolute moron that is.
