give it one of the mechanical checks. racv do it and so do a few others. although it may cost up to $200 its better than needing to spend a few k when something goes horribly wrong. go right over it too as the imac exterior could of been an el cheapo respray. check the inside of the doors etc just in case. Or it could be the best buy ever and you gotta jump on the chance do a mech check tho. important when buying any second hand car.

yeah there needs to be more shit on how roundabouts work. especially multi lane ones... theres one here that is 2 lane one way and a single lane the other way. i see heaps forgetting to stay in their lane on the 2 lane part and some even think they have the right of way thru there. including a woman in a hilux who caused $2k damage to my car... he fault and i scored a front end repray and a new bumper. anyhoo thats not the point. Roundabouts = Give way to right. stay in your lane. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

id say leave it and look for a manual one. unless you want and auto and you only have an auto licence. IMO it isnt a skyline unless its a turbo and manual i would say being black and in 'immac' condition, and also where you are located will also affect the price. $10k-$11k anything more and hes dreaming.

i reckon if i had a kid id use it as an incentive for his/her final yr12 result. i had no incentives and i spent more time looking for cars and working than i did worrying about school. i bought my car after muckup day before my final exams and by then i got what i wanted and gave pretty much stuff all effort into my exams. id probably say id match whatever s/he had and pay for rego and insurance. but then id say nothing too fancy as it is their first car.

how well do the numbers line up, it could have been damge if/when it was wound back. or it could be just chance and theres dirt, something broke etc. i have noticed that many clusters are replaced in skylines and it could be just a prob thatss show up in yours too. take it to an auto elec, theyll fix it.

do an racv check on it anyway. and get a comp check too (do racv do that anyway?)

space saver are there to save money. what bout some of the newer medium size and family cars that are coming with spacesavers? i also remember an article in the royal auto (racv mag for members) that they were not happy with the inclusion of a spacesaver in a smaller car, could have been a focus? and there was room for a full size spare, yet they put a spacesaver in. The lotus elise dont have a spare as there is bugger all room, not even for a spacesaver. so they have one of those tyre foam thingys.

Left side is before. came up better after i waxed it too.

used it on mine and got rid of most of the light swirl marks n stuff. now the deeper ones are really noticable i applied a wax afterwards and me car looked better than when i bought it... i got a before n after pic somewhere... ill see if i can find it.

Whos bought themselves a brand new Xbox360? i've been thinkin about getting one as my PS2 is really starting to die in the arse. it isnt playing DVDs, half my games and is having a real hard time loading San Andraes... one thing that has put my off getting one yet is there isnt any decent games for it...imo anyway... What games have you got and reckon are good?
