If you have a good alarm, you put it in place way before the turbo timer is able to activate anyway Ignition wires are no good to anyone if they're dead... However, if you don't have an alarm, yes you'll get a couple of extra seconds of protection as they don't have to hunt for your ignition wires.

I'm located in Sydney. Once I've done the work (in a couple of weeks, gotta time it with a week where I don't need my car as it's a daily driver), i'll post back here with how I go.

That site looks awesome mate - thanks! I didn't think there'd be a company that does this kinda stuff! I just spoke to them and it's $150 + GST per unit... that includes taking them apart, polishing, new seals etc etc. 2 days turnaround for the work + shipping time. Pretty good deal, I'll get both done and they'll look brand new (the non - buggered one looks awesome at the moment but I'd prefer if they matched spot on)

even with a perfect EBC it'll still spike a bit - I'm surprised your tune is so close to the limit that a tad more boost causes knocking. Why not richen up the tune (or take out a tad of timing) a little so at least you can drive the thing properly whilst identifying your issue

Ok, firstly, never ever ever leave your parkers unplugged from your headlight for a couple of days. I did (waiting to get time to go up and get a replacement bulb), and somehow water managed to get into the headlight... and now, it fogs up constantly (with water on the inside of the lens cover), and also it's cleaned the inside of the headlight, so the one that fogs up is now crystal clear (when you can see past the condensation), and the other one has a very slight yellow tinge. You can imagine how annoyed I am about all this. Anyway, although i'm going to try and take the lens cover off my headlights (using an oven etc), just wondering if that doesn't work, where can I source new R33 S3 GTR headlights from? They have to be zenon... I have all the hid parts etc (yes I don't imagine they'll be cheap but the fogging is pissing me off) So pissed off lol, the headlights were perfect as a week ago...

Take it to your tuner and get him to adjust the tune - it's not a matter of adjusting the boost controller, esp considering on a freezing night you'd be likely to get a spike again anyway... rather you should try to ensure the tune is better... So speak to your tuner

As they did with Far Cry, Crytek have built a game that on the highest settings will only run well on the next generation of GPUs. They did the same with Far Cry It means the game lasts more than just the current "generation" of games, and it's also a challenge to video card manu's to make GFX cards to run it well. We'll see Crysis as a benchmark game for over 12 months, nothing pushes your system like this game Graphics, well they are unreal! Much better than WIC (and WIC is really nice!!)

R33 GTR 11.8 @ 117mph

I've only used an ORC but it's really nice to drive with once you get used to the friction point I've driven a mates car with a OS Giken and that was nicer again... same grip level but friction point lower to the wall. Not sure if friction points are set by clutch type / brand though, or install... anyone know?

290kw@4... it's only running stock cams / cam gears, so need to get those upgraded, which should help Still you've got almost 60kw@4 more than me though so i'm not getting a low 11 haha... nice work!! Your best bet is to go around to all the workshops and speak to them personally. Go once a month if you find one you really like. I have a mate that did this with CRD and he ended up becoming a 1st year due to his constant efforts

Ended up heading out and running a 11.8 @ 117mph. Humid as night out there, saw a few skylines racing too which was good, but never really had the chance to chat to anyone. "Ignition" DVD wanted to do an article on my car but I politely advised there's no way i'm getting in front of the video camera haha

well it looks lke it's just passing over... and i've got a mate that works 2 minutes from the track, not raining there. It's a bit of a gamble
