Hello all I took the new R32 GTR out to willowbank tonight to give it its first stretch. ran a 12.3 on my first pass running 0.9 bar. pretty happy, but had some probs so decided to leave. Now, as a skyline owner, i was VERY dissapointed at the level of comradery displayed by my fellow line owners... We counted at least 4 r33gtsts that came from the drags and passed us on the side of the road (Cunningham highway) with the hazards on in the dark. If I saw a skyline (or an evo or gtir(myold cars)) on the side of the road in the night (especially just after exiting willowbank) i would stop and offer assistance. You know like teh brotherhood or whatever crap, fellow skyline owners. All i got was people ripping skids and yelling out the windows. lol Huge Thanks to SAU-'EasyTiger' Dave and his mate for stopping with us untill we could track down a tow truck. Great work. Michael

It's a beast...

I'd try posting it in a different section mick, like forced induction performance or suspension/brakes

I've got the same one on my R33 GTS-T, and so does another owner I know. I'm leaning towards thinking they are a sticker simply reminding you to get it replaced at 100,000kms, as there's no dealer / shop stamp or imprint on there to indicate it's been done.

32 or 33 which 1 is the better???
TommO replied to bullet46's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I prefer 33s due to shape, the extra capacity (i'm half bogan I swear...), and cause they a newer (aka, more reliable) -

Are you comparing stock vs stock? Only way to do this comparison fairly. -
LSD sometimes doesn't lock up in first?

I've booked it in for tomorrow morning, to change diff / gearbox oils. I'll let you know the results. -
How Much Have You Spent On Your GTS-T/ GT-T???

As long as BUSTER posts in here, we'll be ok hahahha -

Sweet, i'll head up to Unique and buy some on Friday... I want to get my gearbox oil done at the same time, sounds like a good excuse to me :) Gotta love how the diff is on the way out with only a claimed 56,000kms.. damn jap cars and their false odometer readings -

Ok thanks, i'll replace the oil on Friday and see how I go -
Only problem i've had was the stock fuel pump being basically dead, and the car running lean (not dangerously, but defintely on the way to getting there). Replaced that and so far it runs fine. I actually went a skyline over other imports/turbo cars in hope to get great reliablity, as I always drive my cars reasonably hard.

I've never really been giving it much before, especially around corners!! However now i've learnt to drive RWD beyond the limit, I've been testing things out, thats when I noticed it won't be locking up in first. Merlin, that's gotta be the best excuse for doing heli's i've ever seen in my life I'll try doing a few quiet ones this weekend and see what happens. I'll defintely look at changing my diff oil anyway, as far as I know it's never been done before (since i've owned it, anyway) -

About $1k on general serviving, strut brace, and fitting a 500hp fuel pump (+ dyno run) ie not much money at all (yet) -
A bigger exhaust will give you better fuel economy IF your driving style stays the same (note: it rarely does...). Not sure on the FMIC.

Hey guys/girls, Just a quick question - sometimes when coming out of a corner hard in first gear, the LSD won't lock up and will only spin one wheel. However, as soon as I put it into second gear, both wheels start spinning and sideways it goes. It's weird though, sometimes it does lock up fine, but most of the time it won't, mainly noticable in the wet... Is there any reason for this? Is that the way stock GTS-T diffs are built, or? Will change the diff oil help this? Or is the LSD simply getting worn out? I find it weird that it always works perfect in second gear, leading me to think they are designed like this? Everytime i've done a burnout at the drags, both wheels lock up fine... Any advice would be great. Thanks, Tommo.

Mechanical is fine... your standard turbo doesn't exactly go from nothing to everything in terms of boost, so spiking won't be so much of an issue. Go that $22 one, you can't go wrong... if you decide to upgrade later on, you've only spent $22 on it !!!! But a number of people are running those (including me) and they are great.

I'll take better / more pics in exchange for a ride in a passenger seat.. my 33 gts-t doesn't exactly cut it in terms of performance Hope you enjoy the photos on the CD John, there's a lot more I didn't post up due to server space limiations... was good to meet you today and see you again soon Can't wait till the next day :) I also do car photoshoots for a very cheap price if anyone is interested in getting some decent photos of your car Oh, and LOL @ how stiff Johns brake pedal is... jesus, I reckon my leg would have given up after a couple of laps!!!

That car parks two houses up from me everyday at my home. I have no idea whether they are on SAU or not, would love to know if they are... nice looking car hey! I never see the owner.
-
Yeah also my lens is worth about $200, his is worth about $4k... anyone want to sponser me?
-
I took a few photos... however, I had worked all night (7pm to 7am), and then went out to the track day, so I wasn't really in the best condition for taking good photographs, hence why all of them are pretty average.. The dark and cloudy weather conditions didn't help me. Oh well, better than nothing I suppose, and more importantly, you guys get them for free! http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/uas/ Email me if you want the full size photos. My fav photo of the lot is: Let me know what you think. Cheers, Tommo.

How about we meet at Thornleigh maccas at 08:15am for a 08:45 - 09:00am departure? Thornleigh is relatively central to everywhere, and easy to get to. It's right near the start of the F3 too, so easy to keep the group together. That should get us up there about 10am Who is interested?
