  1. Since you guys are interested in a "stockish" dyno graph. 96 R33 GTST Cat back exhaust Walbro 500HP fuel pump
  2. No problems, if you can't sell them, send me a PM. Cheers
  3. Are two rims with thread compatiable with a R33 GTS-T Hub? If so, are you willing just to sell two rims with good tyres? Cheers, Tommo.
  4. I personally am not a fan of his work. Uses photoshop and too many tools to edit the photos too much. If you refer to almost all of his work in magazines, there's rarely just a normal shot of the car. I've know of two people who has used him, and weren't too impressed as there weren't many "normal" clean shots of the overall car. I personally don't like the arty type work either... however, if you like his styles of photos, then you should use him and get photos of your car He's certainly a very very successfull photographer, and is better than most photographers I know, I just don't like his 'style'.
  5. What about your injectors? Tried changing your fuel filter? What are your AFRs running at above 4000rpm.. ie how lean?
  6. Trust me, the BOV will be the last thing you have to worry about when there's 20+ Skylines going at full pelt through a quiet national park.
  7. Stock should be 5psi until 4500rpm, 7psi after that. Not sure how many RWKW it should put out, but i'll be interested to hear as well. I'm guessing about 140kw, but i'm not sure.
  8. Yeah it's a daily, with the odd drag racing day. Only mild mods. Thanks - i'll stick with the OEM unit. Any idea how much they are worth? Cheers again man!! Tommo.
  9. How worn are the tyres? If they have over say 30-40% thread, i'll take them :) Cheers, Tommo.
  10. Maybe i'll get a mate to pull it out, and get a new clutch whilst i'm at it in that case. I wonder if a Heavy Duty clutch as a replacement is a good idea or not, especially considering the traffic I have to drive through.
  11. Hey guys, Thanks for all your help!! I drove back into work tonight, but made sure I didn't ride the clutch at ALL, and I received no shutter. All the gear changes are fine. Not sure if it's the original clutch, very hard to tell with an import. The clutch doesn't seem to slip at all, and still chirps second gear etc without a problem. After speaking to a few friends, all signs point to a worn flywheel or clutch pressure plate. I'll continue to drive it for a while, and then pull the gearbox out and have a look. Does this sound ok? Cheers, Tommo.
  12. Is your cat in good condition ? The only way flames should be coming through the exhaust is if, for whatever reason, you no longer have a cat. Backfiring can be explained by the BOV (Which I assume is Atmopsheric?), but the flames means your exhaust ain't exactly legal...
  13. I'd only consider getting a 1.5 way LSD in a street driven car. 2 way is dangerous (try braking hard in the wet...), and a 1 way is pointless.
  14. I've had a problem of my previous car not coming out of second gear before. It would literally not come out of gear, no matter what I did. It turned out to be the master/slave cylinders packing it in. Hopefully it's an easy fix for you
  15. Hi, I've got a R33 GTS-T with a standard clutch. After two days of driving to work and back in absolute peak hour (ie bridge, epping road), the clutch seems to now shudder in first gear when taking off, especially when having to ride the clutch a little bit. Is this caused by a car problem, or more by me (I've only owned the car a week, and this is the first time i've driven the car in traffic). Cheers, Tommo.
  16. Hi all, Does anyone have two rims with tyres suited to drag racing? Not looking for slicks or anything like that, just something with a bit of sidewall... Paying cash in Sydney. Cheers, Tommo.
  17. : Refer to this SAU tech thread I'm sure you can feel the power increase at 4500rpm. Cheers, Tommo.
  18. I'd like to recommend benl1981 for being a great seller. Organised delivery of the product very fast, printed out the instructions for me in colour, and went the extra mile compared to what most sellers do. Great, cheap product, with a decent performance gain. Thanks again, Tommo.
  19. There seems to be a lot of GTS-Ts on the market at the moment, and not that many buyers of them... hence they are progressily getting cheaper. Pretty easy to get a nice S2 around the $18k mark now...
  20. benl1981; please clear your PM box
  21. Most skylines i've heard are noisy under 2000rpm or so, like a rattling noise of some type, and then clear up after that... Not sure if thats what your referring to though?
  22. Hi James, There's enough IT jobs to get around, especially if you are skilled (not helpdesk or basic support type roles). If you present yourself well, and have experience, you'll have no problems getting a position (generally anyway). I think your best off looking at contract work, as unless you have permanent residency, I think you'll have problems getting a full time role... but contract work won't be a problem for you. Best places to look for IT jobs are: www.seek.com.au, and Candle Recruitment: www.candle.com.au. Make sure you sign up to every possible recruitment agency before you leave to Australia, and you'll have a ton of offers when you arrive Recruitment agencies are THE WAY TO GO ! You'll have so much less stress when you arrive and they should have already arranged interviews etc. Regarding where to live, it depends what budget you have, and thats about it. I live out west (45 minutes from the city), but in a nice area where houses go for $1million pretty easily. Central locations (ie west, south, north, east) doesn't always depict prices in Sydney, it's more based on the specific suburb. However, the guys are right, there's a higher percentage of cheaper houses out West, and a few specific suburbs you should avoid. If I was you, i'd find out where you intend to work, and then look at finding a place to stay. No point choosing inner city, and then finding out it takes 1.5 hours to get to work everyday. Either way, there's plenty of options Cheers, Tommo.
  23. You should be able to run more than 10psi with a front mount and exhaust... although you do take the risk of blowing your turbo. Fuel pump.. i've heard the R32 ones have issues when they are pushed (ie after a few power mods), not sure about the R33s. That said, they only cost $180 or so, so it's cheap insurance that your not going to run lean and cause more expensive engine damage. Anyway - i'm sure someone else can provide better advice, i'm only sharing my thoughts
  24. I've heard the fuel pump has a few reliability issues, so it's a cheap upgrade to protect leaning out and the engine going "bang". I'm in the process of buying a R33 GTST.. I intend to do a whiteline works kit (www.whiteline.com.au) suspension as my first mod. That way, you can learn to drive the car with the stock power, and to control it properly under power, and then do exhaust / bleed valve, followed by FMIC... Everyone has their own ways of modificatons though, it's really up to you
  25. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, i'm going to go for a clean R33 S2. I'll just fit a Whiteline works fit to it, as that should bring it up to scratch in the handling department. Thanks for your advice.. I wish I could go the R34, but oh well Cheers, Tommo.
