  1. Weird, compared to Sydney motorbikes are lots CHEAPER in VIC
  2. If you intended to build your motor ($8k), go 2860-5s or 2530s. If you don't, go 2860-7s or GT-SSs. You can't really go wrong with either the HKS or Garrett version IMO
  3. Around 140kw@4, pretty shocking really. Well, it sounds bad.. but the car itself drives really nice. I have a fairly solid power curve from 5200rpm to 8000rpm. I don't want to really talk about my car in here anyway, as it's not the right place to do it, rather turbo choices. If I was buying again on a stock motor with no intention to build it, I think i'd go GT-SSs.
  4. But once again, it shows you can't easily compare results... I have 2860-5's on a pretty much stockish GTR (stock bottom end, cams 260/260 9.15mm) and don't get full boost until 4700rpm. GTRSean gets full boost at 4800rpm with the 2530s. I imagine you have a fair few airflow mods BoostdR, because to get full boost at 4050rpm is significantly different to what my motor is seeing, or something weird is going on with GTRSean and my cars
  5. Hey, A mate wants to upgrade his stock gtr turbos to something better He's looking at 2530s / GTSSs / 2860-7s / 2860-5s Please post what you've got.. Cheers, Tommo
  6. I used Tomei poncams 260/260 duration 9.15mm lift... before 280kw@4, after 318kw@4, without any changes to boost setting... with Garrett 2860-5s. Hope this helps
  7. You can download a demo for free mate, and give it a go... make sure you complete a few laps before writing it off http://games.internode.on.net/filelist.php?filedetails=14171
  8. Yeah mate, it's an LCD so it's no different to sitting right in front of your PC monitor Closer is good too, really helps emmersify you in teh game. I can also get a seat but don't know if I have the skills to build something good... when I can pickup the hyperdrive unit for $200, hmm.
  9. You can't do shifts without the clutch too.. for those wondering hehe
  10. Yeah you turn it on by pressing triangle button during the start of a race on the PS3 controller
  11. No idea on the button but yeah GT5 works with my clutch pedal fine
  12. I want to buy the hyperdrive unit from www.hyperdrive.com.au ... not badly priced For the moment I've got a $10 saw horse hooked up to the PS3 or PC, with display 46inch LCD. You'd be surprised as to how well the saw horse works
  13. Correct, none of them are on the consoles. Mainly because of the type of games they are... in the fact that they are simulators and not arcade games, so they appeal to a significantly smaller market.
  14. Yeah the clutch works, you've gotta use the controller to activate it every time you start a race but it's easy enough (I was just playing then so am 100%)
  15. The G25 unit is great for a serious gamer. You need a good setup to mount it to though Only works on PS3 and PC... it's really suited to PC games more than PS3 though
  16. PC: Live for Speed rFactor GTR2 GT Legends XBOX: Forza2 PS3: GT5 I own all of them and they're all the best of the best... however, I prefer more simulator type games rather than arcade stuff like NFS etc
  17. If you don't do everything perfect, you might be in a worse situation than you are now. I can see exactly where Howie is coming from - if the data is *that* criticial to you, don't play around trying to get it back with a free application. If it's stuff you can afford to lose if you totally stuff up, then go for gold
  18. Agreed... I've owned a R33 GTST and a R33 GTR... the GTR is easily worth the extra money It's impossible to describe, just go drive one, they feel very different..

All BPs around the Hills Area are now out (Norwest, Kellyville, 2 in Seven Hills, Baulkham Hills) Lucky I've got a motorbike, as it's easier to just use that than go fuel hunting.
  20. The rest of the photos from that day are here: http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/gallery/gal...y=13&page=1 This thing was a weapon.... until it caught fire.. he's on here somewhere
  21. LOL I took that photo... damn that was a while ago!!
  22. I think you'll find that although it might feel slower, it's not. It's similar the way they deliver power in stock form, there's no huge feeling of boost coming in like you get in the WRX. Considering they're a low 13 / high 12 second car, there was either something wrong with the one you test drove, or it was a case of what I described above. Did you take it through corners? The GTR is a lot more fun to drive through them than a WRX IMO.
  23. I saw a R33 GTST S2 with a S14A airbag wheel in the for sale section ages ago and it fit perfectly, looked pretty much the exact same
  24. Where are you located? I'd pay $1k.
  25. I'm off work so i'll try and come along, considering I live 1 minute away. Just gotta remember now.. that's the hard part!
