  1. I'd go a OS Giken or Nismo twin plate. They've got the best reputation on here in jap twin plates specs, in terms of holding the power vs gearbox stress. No point going a triple plate - a twin will handle the power fine and be what you'd call bulletproof, with less strain on the box (with that power, take it easy into third... it still might blow though, some get lucky others don't). I've done 18,000kms in my car with 415hp and numerous launches.. no dramas here (with an ORC twin, but due to a crap friction point location, I wouldn't go the ORC next time)
  2. Best way is to do as described... removing the front drive shafts etc I've been told you can buy a controller but it'll f**k the plates in the transfer case over time if running 100% RWD mode As described above, you can't just remove a fuse as it's always sending torque to the front wheels. Kinda sucks doesn't it..... but still, the handling advantages are worth it
  3. Just got my front lip painted factory colour again... looks better than white I reckon.
  4. I like the PFC handset, as being able to watch for knock is a good thing (yes in a perfect world you shouldn't have to worry) and the fact that it's easy to wind timing out of it if you're only able to purchase 95 octane fuel when in remote locations.
  5. If it was running so lean that it's dangerous, wouldn't the PFC knock sensor detect knock and have an extremely high knock count?
  6. Normally I dislike you, but today I like you
  7. hehe, so you know atesix huh... (what I know him on gunna) His bike is nice as, best of luck with the sale
  8. R32 GTR, M2, 6:20pm
  9. You can order them from http://www.perfectrun.com.au/ I imagine Greenline/Nengun get them too? I've got a guy getting them from Japan EBAY for me as it's cheaper again... but unfortunately, he only does this for friends etc.
  10. Yeah, I was just wondering what boost he's running at the moment to have the 290kw. Totally agree with you in terms of 350rwkw being a high 10 on a clean pass
  11. If it helps, with 280kw @ all four, I run a 11.8 @ 117mph in my R33 GTR. I've now got 318kw @ all four and am running next Wednesday. I'll let you know how I go, I reckon 11.5-11.6 I reckon you'll need 350kw @ all four to run a 10 in a R33 GTR... minimum What boost are you running?
  12. Agreed Marlin... every forum I'm on has "wow I spotted a R35 GTR today" thread... they spotted the Just Jap one around 11am this morning
  13. Thanks guys. I've got a fair few CF bits on my car already (nismo cf wing blade, nismo cf wing inserts, cf ganador mirrors), so it sounds like it'll fit fine. Just ordered one Tommo
  14. Thanks Andy
  15. Hi all, Any chance someone could fast this VIN for me please?? BCNR33040532 Just want to confirm that it's not a V-Spec... Cheers!! Tommo
  16. Hi, Anyone have any photos of them fitted to a R33 GTST/GTR (white would be great) ? I've been hunting through tons of pictures but can't find any apart from the one attached... Thanks, Tommo The Riceboy
  17. Micks Motorsport.... I've seen a lot of tuners rely on the factory knock sensor.. Mick hooks up his own to confirm what's happening, which I'm a fan of. Perhaps tons of others do this too, who knows I totally agree with what was said earlier in this thread..... everyone is simply going to recommend the tuner they've used previously, no one has really gone to 50 different tuners, put them in the same conditions, and seen who comes up with the best all round tune. It'd be great to see though, hard to control external factors though.
  18. Madhatter (Penrith) does awesome work... lots of show cars hence his attention to detail and quality on "normal" paint is spectacular.
  19. Any idea on spring rates? I'm interested...
  20. Give it a month and I'm confident you'll be used to it... seriously It's not a cheap exercise to go through, so give yourself a while to adjust. took me at least a few hundred kms to get used to the ORC twin plate in mine but not I love it..
  21. Incorrect, GTR V-Spec and GTR both have the same wheels from factory. Cheers, Tommo
  22. I love the colour / rims / ride height, but the kit doesn't enhance any of those features I reckon. Anyway, I've just ordered clear indictors (front and side) for mine, as well as the Nismo CF garnish. Next up, painting the lip black and thinking about a CF bonnet (not sure on CF bonnet)...
  23. Hi Tanweer, Lots of mis-understanding with the V-Spec, people think it's 100 times better but it's not. Seriously, if your car has aftermarket shocks and/or springs, then the lowering is forgotton... only other difference is A-LSD which doesn't perform any better than the mechanical diff in the non-vspec. For some good information, read this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sp...ec-t198617.html Buy off best condition, not whether it's a vpsec or not
  24. Come on.... let's not start this shitfight again. What counts is that R33 GTRs are faster on the track than R32 GTRs and better overall... That top secret bodykit looks nice... but not hugely different from stock. Lots of good looking 33 GTRs in this thread too: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...en-t189160.html
  25. Stock is best - kits on R33s normally look crap IMO.
