  1. yep good point, i didnt realise it either until i saw ur post on ns.
  2. some important info for those worried about the details:
  3. haha well first when i saw it im like, ok so i paid how much for customs to check my car? and i find a dead frog in there as soon as i got the thing home. i guess quarantine doesnt really matter all that much haha.
  4. this day is getting an awesome response, make sure u get ur entries in quick, looks like its gonna be an awesome day.
  5. i found a dried up frog in my car when i got it fresh from japan.
  6. ah sorry about the confusion, not sure how i got u 2 mixed up. yeh understandable, but chains and other things will never stop people from getting close, the only thing i could recommend is maybe putting a piece of paper on the windshield asking people to respect ur car and to not get too close. although tbh, i went to a show down at wiglet reserve not too long ago with the Ford GT's, some worth up to $700,000 and they were not using any barriers etc and didnt seem to have any issues so i dont beleive you should really have to worry. we would love to see the GTR down there, it would be a great addition to the day.
  7. i got a bit confused there for some reason lol
  8. AJD > Tiesto
  9. in what way? if its a matter of rego, u can get a trade plate or permit, if its a mechanical issue u can put it on a trailer and bring it down ($50 or so to hire one for a day). would be really nice to have a R34 GTR there.
  10. as mentioned this isnt possible in the traditional sense. but you can rep the SAU sticker and show that you are all together, but the idea is to get people to move around in stead of just standing in one place, i think its a brave move by the organisers, but i think its a very good one.
  11. yeh woops, did a search and couldnt find anything, the search must have missed this subforum, sorry for the double post. although i think it would be good to keep one in the general SA section just to get extra exposure as most of the events are posted in the general section anyway.
  12. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...c=292992&hl for more details. will be an awesome days, trying to do something genuinely good for the import community, so show ur support and make this a regular thing!! EDIT: forgot to check the events section, didnt see it up. can mods please just keep it in here for extra exposure please?
  13. ok, got them back from the powdercoater, very happy with the result. ill try and get some pics of them out in the sun tomorrow, unfortunately all ive got at the moment is pics i took inside with flash, and we all know how shit things look with flash. probably should have given the dish a clean so it didnt have smudge marks all over it, but u get the idea. oh, and thats just a mock up, they havnt been assembled yet, will probs do that tomorrow, will look better with the polished bolts in and the blue volk stickers i need to put back on them.
  14. no probs hey mate, dont have much left, but this is what ive got: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...le-t181837.html
  15. i dont understand why nissan are so worried, i was under the impression most revenue is made from servicing not the sale of the cars, hence even grey imports will bring in $$ with servicing costs etc.
  16. asking 1300 as they have been freshly reconditioned and powdercoated, and considering my last set went for 1200 with what i thought was farked paint, pretty reasonable.
  17. how do u know this was the cause of the shoulder wear?
  18. ok, so, basically i took these wheels to a powdercoater to get the centres powdercoated black. now somewhere between the powdercoaters and the blasters one of these centres has been misplaced, i have been sorting through this issue with the powdercoater for the last few weeks, and they have handled it very professionally. but unfortunately due to the price of these wheels and because they arent a common wheel, as well as being jap, it has become not economically viable to replace the centre. so basically now i have 3 full wheels (to have the centres powdercoated black) and one rim/barrel minus a centre disk. now im going to look for another pair in japan, but i dont like my chances, so im going to just sell them as is, someone can buy them as is, ill sell them for the price i think is reasonable for a pair of wheels, although u will get the spares which u can use, for maybe incase one is damaged or something. so please dont say, i dont have a use for the other wheels so i dont want to have to pay for them, i just want to the 2, as this is the price for just the 2, u can take them the others if u want and think u could use them. so for now im going to ask $700 for all 3 whole wheels, and the 4th rim.
  19. haha well not everything is about fitment, u dont have to run 55mm, u dont have to run any at all, but if u wanted u could go 30mm and it would sit nicely.
  20. yeh ive just got my hands on another set of GTR rims, awesome rims, perfect size and offset for track rims, just cant be too fussed about wheel fitment haha. im probs gonna chuck my 25mm spacers on the back, but for grip ill just ditch the spacers. if u want some ive got those up for sale, powdercoated white.
  21. well, what does he say when u PM him?
  22. im grabbin that pic, sure to come in handy soon.
  23. thread unlocked, and wheels for sale again. these arnt the same wheels, but another set of R33 GTR wheels. long story short but im receiving these wheels to replace some wheels that were lost by a company, i have been offered a free powdercoat on them, and im thinking white, if someone is keen on these before wednesday u can pick the colour. i would just put these on my car as i love R33 GTR wheels, but i have a fractured foot which means i cant drive my car, so these would just be sitting around collecting dust until i can drive my car again. hence im chucking them up for sale. im asking the same $$ even though they are in mint condition, will be powdercoated etc as im after a quick sale so i can buy and auto daily (so i can drive around, heavy duty button clutch + fractured foot = fail )
  24. pretty sure the independent part refers to the suspension (aka independent suspension) and obviously transaxle describes the trans/diff/axle combo.
