yeh, and i hardly think they will leave it stock as well, if they do drift this, cant wait to see what they do with the drive system. BLITZ manual conversion kit?

a clutch is definately handy, even for a highly skilled driver, u can still unbalance the car etc, but sometimes u really just need to give the rear wheels some torque to get them loose, handbrake can do the trick, but they carry their different characteristics, clutch u obviously dont lose speed like with a handbrake, they both play a different role along side each other and cannot replace each other. also not sure how using the handbrake will work without a clutch, how quickly it will disengage etc.
  9. holy f**k, thats a serious profile for a 19" on a car with relatively small guards. hope u got ur speedo re-calibrated as thats a massive change in rolling diameter.
  10. the tread on a 275 will stick out roughly 20mm more than a 235. if uve got more than 20mm clearance between the tread (not the sidewall) and the guard then u should be alright. need pics.
  11. mm, reminds me of something, i just cant quite put my finger on it.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/To...-Design-t194502
  12. im also after one, doesnt need to fit GTS-t, will suss what ever anyone has got.
  13. ouch, sorry to hear man, looked like a clean car.
  14. ah damn, was after a few parts from the front end to. why o why couldnt he have f**ked the rear end instead. jks, sorry to hear, hope he's ok and has insurance etc
  15. do some research and learn ur car better. caster rod bushes, round the $100 mark for urethane, bit more for adjustable ones, $40ish for getting them pressed in, do the labour of putting them in and out urself, pretty easy job. radiator, once again do the labour urself, radiator will cost u $100 from a wrecker, spend another $100 to get new seals and get a flush for it. hoses, depends what u need really, paint job u can do urself if u have a compressor and spray gun, or u can do the sanding urself and take it in and get the painting done pretty cheap, but really, its not a necessary thing, same as the scratch etc. wheel alignment, $40-$80 depending on what u get done, and what adjustment u have. new tyres, well if u look around u can get decent tyres for pretty cheap 2nd hand, ive got a few near newies up for sale, or even just some with a bit less tread, looking around the $200-$300 mark for a set of 17" tyres, depending on how much tread and what type u want, looking at about $40-$60 for fitting and balancing if u dont know any wheel fitters personally. hrmm... $140 $200 $60 $250 $50 roughly $700 to get her nice and good again. and belts, well if ur with the RAA, id buy the right belt, cut the f**ked belt off, call RAA and say yep, one of my belts has snapped off, heres the belt for it (they wont carry belts for skylines) say u knew it was going and ud bought one ready to change them over, but it broke before u got a chance etc etc, get them to install it and wallah, free labour!! saying that, check the tension first, it might just be loose and spinning on the pulley.
  16. good to hear u got through mate lol, no they arnt. a cop shop inspection isnt very thorough, they will check whats on the defect, and depending on how lucky u are they might have a suss of other things. but just for future reference: coilovers are legal providing they are not height adjustable, although by the way u said that it makes me think they were. even if they are at legal ride height they arnt legal if they are able to be lowered below or above the legal limit. pod filters are legal in SA providing they are secured. wheelspacers are illegal unless fitted from factory, aka pretty much not legal for any car. exhaust might pass, probably borderline. 265 tyres indicate probably a 9" wheel knowing BBS, 9" wide is illegal, it gets more technical with regards to how it affects track, but basically they are illegal. so count urself as pretty lucky, saying that i have passed cop shop inspection with straight through exhaust etc, they just checked what they needed and ignored the rest.
  17. +1 for boostworx if its around the south of adelaide -1 for boostworx if it needs to be done urgently, ull have to wait at least one week, up to 3 weeks to get the car in there. +1 for morpowa if the car is located more up north
  18. autobahn will do, just get vaccum lines, silicon is pretty steep.
  19. ok, as im sure most of you know, and most likely have discussed before, the GTR runs staggered sized wheels and tyres front and back, now looking at previous models i have seen people mention that changing the track (offset) and wheel size (or more relavently tyre size) can mess with the ATTESA system. now im assuming its simply a matter of programming in staggered sizes into the ATTESA system, but what will this mean to aftermarket wheels etc, i mean with the older models it was simply a matter of just not staggering the sizes and offset, but how will they used aftermarket wheels with different sizes and offsets etc or will this ATTESA system really not give a shit about changing size and offset?
  20. lol yes, but they both use the attesa system, id assume the wiring would be similar and taking the fuse out should do the trick in both cases
  21. my favourite quote:
  22. $200 and i can get u a full set of 18's, ling longs around the 215/40-235/40 mark (cheap chinese stuff), tonnes of tread left on them, would be good for drift. let me know. i can also throw in a pair of potenzas, decent amount of tread on them, got a gash in the side of the tread, but pretty sure they dont leak.
