  1. lol well urs has had stuff done to it, i guess it probably because i see alot of r33 drivers around that have just done pod, exhuast and intercooler. Granted if u have done more to ur car its going to pull hard, but i dunno if uve been in any worked rb20's they still flex pretty hard. Now if uve been in a worked rb25 r32, well, we have a winner.
  2. spotted a nice r34 4dr, plates like Tinny or Tim or some shit i cant remember. f**king nice, i was having a bit of a suss at the lights.
  3. yeh i rekon i got stock piping to the cat, knocked out cat then straight through to a 4 inch cannon. sounds f**king tough as nails.
  4. excessive acceleration what exhaust u got, almost sounds as loud as mine. f**king porn RB rumble.
  5. lol, i dont care what specs say, every R33 ive been in and my mates have been in have been extremely dissapointed with its guts and have lost to several R32's. Maybe u r33 drivers just dont know how to drive ur cars but even the mildly modified ones dont really pull that hard IMO. the RB25 + gearbox combination is alot better than the RB20 + gearbox combo, but the R33's are too heavy. thats why i went the r32 over the r33.
  6. id be interested in knowing whether a GTS-4 would beat a GTS-t all variables consitent. I have heard the extra 150kg of the AWD bogging them down a bit. but it would be good to see.
  7. lol, yeh were getting off track now though, im juts talking about the difference between attessa and all-time AWD's.
  8. meh, my GTS-t hasnt cost me much in maintanance, mods on the other hand... but yeh if ur really stressed about putting money into ur car, dont get an import. out of ur options, id get a R32 GTR, then an R32 gts-t, then a r33 gts-t, if ur after a bit more show and a bit less go maybe the r33 is a better option.
  9. Items: Cannon Extra Info: decent outlet size with decent inlet size Contact Details: PM me Price and price conditions: under $100, preferably around the $50 mark but will pay more depending on condition and quality
  10. which is f**king lucky cos the G35 looks like ass
  11. GTR isnt out of production, just a bit of distance between models
  12. Gts-t and GTR both with RB26, GTR will outhandle it anyday, the attessa system is great for road conditions as it has the intial entry of a RWD (minimal understeer) and only uses the FWD when there is over steer hence not using FWD when not needed (once again, minimising understeer). all-time AWD on the other hand u can see alot of understeer as the FWD always has a split of power and is best used in slippery conditions, hence why u look at the GTR, Evo and WRX on circuit and the GTR will destroy the others, see them on snow/dirt and the WRX and Evo will dominate. the 2 types of AWD systems are completely different and are designed for different things.
  13. i mean u could still rip skids in a 1.25 tonne car with 100kws, but its not like ur going to have serious traction issues. hrmm...i wonder how the GTR would have done if it was a RWD :ponders:
  14. saying 100kw at the wheels would completely screw the comparison as one of the main disadvantages of AWD is the extra loss of power between the engine and wheels. yeh and like i said, its not MUCH of an issue, u can still get loose but if u know what ur doing u should be pretty much about the same as the AWD off the line taking into account more power loss and more weight in the AWD.
  15. nah it wouldnt, not enough power to be having heaps of traction issue, the car will bog down more on launch with more weight and driveline loss.
  16. do u want a pretty car or a tough car? GTR's presence on the road is awsome, everytime i see a clean GTR like HOSTILE's, i f**king cream myself, so tough. Ive seen some nice supras but overall im not a fan, i dont like the look of them, to showy, i prefer the tough look of the earlier model moreso. oh yeh and performance n shit aswell
  17. lets put it this way, if all the variables are the same (street legal tires, and are same car like a gts-t and gts-4): RWD vs AWD both have 100kw at the engine and weigh around 1 and a 1/4 tonnes (the AWD system would weigh more) RWD wins from having less weight and less power loss through the driveline and since there isnt much power traction isnt much of an issue. RWD vs AWD both have 300kw at the engine and weigh around 1 and a 1/4 tonnes etc etc AWD wins as traction is needed and even though it has a bit more power loss and weighs a bit more
  18. double post
  19. exactly, AWD's need to be setup right to get the right effect. to have 4 wheels being driven means more driveline which means more power loss by the time it gets to the wheels. If u have 4 wheels being driven for no reason its just a waste of power really, hence why the Atessa system is great, the power loss is only from 2 wheels being driven until the torque is too great and they start slipping and the fronts activate meaning minimal loss of power. but u have AWD locked on the whole time and its a disadvantage to the RWD when the AWD grip is not needed and power is being wasted through the extra driveline. AWD on the top drag cars isnt needed and would be un-needed weight and power loss. When a top drag car launches there is hardly any traction at the front due to the shift in weight, so yeh its not really needed. also on the supercars, lol i remember them talking about one of the AWD supercars and saying they cant launch as hard as the RWD equivilent as the torque and force is just too great for the driveline.
  20. im assuming so, my RWD r32 is hard as f**k to control the rears in a normal hard launch without slipping my clutch, and then in 1st past about 5k the rears start lighting up and then about 6.5k-7k in 2nd they start spinning again. so yeh some AWD action would be nice for dragging but more importantly through the hills the attessa AWD is handy as fark.
  21. yeh it was kinda a long shot thinking it was the radius rod, i couldnt imagine a radius rod just giving up on u that easily. but u wouldnt beleive how many times ive had to clarify which is which cos people get them mixed up heaps easily.
  22. hey i just sussed it out, i rekon i sold both tie rod ends with the steering rack as i cant find them anywhere. this is probably a stupid question but are u definate its the tie rod's and not the radius/castor rod ur after? i know alot of people get them mixed up, if that was the case its the same situation, drivers side fine, passenger side bent. these are the radius rods ive got: sorry for the f**k around.
  23. saw a r32 with unpainted B&N (i think) front kit behind me turning onto springbank rd from goody rd. r33 with plates like [GTR***] or something in Daw Park around 7pm maybe, i think it was a GTR but to be honest the quick glimpse i got i thought it was a gts-t.
  24. i rekon i got one, but im in Adelaide. willing to post anywhere.
  25. Items: RB25 Turbo Extra Info: good con. minimal shaft play and no leaks preferably with lines and elbow to fit on RB20 Contact Details: PM Price and price conditions: 300-400 depending
