  1. it's not an isolated incident, id get all the rota pics if ns was up. here's a few more:
  2. u dont, but plenty people do, a lot of people think a 10.5" wheel looks better, so they sacrafice a bit of unsprung weight, just like u sacraficed unsprung weight when u decided to buy NS-01's and not a proper lightweight wheel. have u ever seen a mildly stretched tyre de-bead? i know i havnt, and never had one de-bead myself. as far as damaging the rim, that's why u buy quality strong wheels, it's the same issue with semi-slicks, hard sidewalls and high grip cause much more stress on the wheel than a street tyre. wrong. ive owned NS-01's, and used drift teks before, they are similar weights (certainly not half the weight). URAS are a jap company but not a jap wheel manufacturer, they outsource their work (wouldnt suprise me if it's too similar taiwanese/korean/chinese manufacturers like used with Koya).
  3. more resolution please.

  5. need offsets mate, also there is no "correct size", once i have the offsets i can tell u what will fit, and how they will fit, but it's up to u to choose what u want.
  6. ive got a few pics that u should be able to work off: 17x10 +20 with 255/45 (with a 235 or so and dropped down, it would have slid in under the guards nicely): 17x9 +16 with 225/45
  7. you own URAS NS-01's for christ sakes, u cant lecture me on unsprung weight it matters every bit, here you are making broad claims that about others, u wanna be pretty bloody sure u can back them up with what uve done urself, and be willing to open urself up to criticism. seriously, im the biggest advocate of quality wheels ull meet, but when it comes down to it, most people on this site setup's are so unrefined, a kg here and there of unsprung weight wouldnt mean shit for majority of what they use their cars for. especially at the expense of sidewall play and improved steering response.
  8. so? they are still fairly big for the car, so why does it matter how wide the rim is? what rims are you running, brand, model, size, offset, and what tyres are you running, brand, model and size? how many circuit cars do u see on the road, or drifting, on a budget, running street tyres. we dont drive circuit cars, u cant compare the 2, use ur head. i think you're confusing car enthusiasts for another group of people who build cars. i build my car for myself, i enjoy getting compliments from other true car enthusiasts, but couldnt give a rats shit about the average joe off the street. the way u described it was that "why would you do this to ur car for looks, if most people dont like the look of it", that's building ur car for others, not urself, and doesnt have a place in the car scene. honestly id rather see anyone with that attitude sell their car and get away from the car scene.
  9. ok, 1: 245's arent a tiny tyre 2: the point is looks, tyre availability, tyre price, reducing sidewall flex, increasing tyre response 3: 245's on a 8" will feel like shit as soon as u go around corner unless the sidewalls are rock hard, some people enjoy going around corners, not just straight line. 4: tyre width can be sacraficed to allow for the higher quality tyre, which ultimately will provide better performance 5: since when the f**k did we as car enthusiasts give a shit about what 90% of the population thinks? sounds like u need to have a hard look at who u build ur car for, urself or 90% of the population. if it's the latter then i think it's time for you to move on and sell ur skyline.
  10. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp stock tyre size: 205/55 R16 go for it.
  11. ur doing a lot of swinging and missing if ur going for the "jap look"
  12. 18's will look better, perform better, ride better, fit better. obviously the thinner the easier they will fit, just depends if u want the extra width or not. maybe just go 8.5 front and 9.5 rear to be simple.
  13. "perfect" should never be used in conjunction with +42 offset, unless the sentence ends in "for autosalon".
  14. there are different layouts of links, look at the instructions that came with to see which one u need to use.
  15. semi's dont like stretch, as u mentioned due to sidewall stiffness, cant give u a definitive answer, but i have fitted 215/45 potenza RFT's to a 17x9.5" with bead seats that are hard to seal (harder to stretch), it just took a lot of tries with the beat blaster. just make sure u find a shop that has a bead blaster/baby elephant in case they dont go on normally.
  16. what kind of pics are you after? just show condition cars parked somewhere, or some action shots?
  17. u will notice the car sitting a lot more flat, the ride wont be compromised, but in tight parking situations with unlevel ground u will notice more inside wheel lift and the wheel spinning freely (unless u have a mech LSD or locker)
  18. as big as u want, but at a certain point they will be too stiff and u will get issues like inside wheel lift which will compromise grip.
  19. it will depend on the size/offset, but the main difference of hanbai's which stand out are how even the width is of the spoke the whole way up, whereas the URAS NS-01, Bee*R B5, GT4, Drift teks etc etc all get thinner near the top.
  20. ull probably have UCA fouling issues at the front, and generally it will just look like arse.
  21. yes. not to mention will have scrubbage issues.
