  1. i agree with most of that, pretty much sums things up. i think ud be surprised at how little i take to heart, naturally im a very argumentitive person, so it often comes off like i give a shit about something more than i do simply due to how much i argue the point.
  2. can we cut the macho stuff, ive had to deal with enough posts talking about how manly everyone here is. also while we are at it, stop calling people keyboard warriors, it's stupid, without knowing the person in real life and knowing whether or not they'd say the exact same thing. this is the internet, people seem to have forgotten that somewhere down the line. the key word there is develop. i have a problem with the attitude that being a mod demands respect automatically, as always you can only develop a amount of respect, you cant just expect everyone to respect you because you've been given mod powers. i dunno, maybe we have different definitions of the word respect.
  3. doesnt matter what its about, either way its better than a bunch of sheep just following along to keep the peace.
  4. i think it's starts before that though, in the confidence of the driver. some drivers are too confident from the beginning and think they are good enough already, so stuff like training wont help a great deal, whereas others are less confident, and are more willing to improve their skill level.
  5. i guess my question is, why the hell are we impounding cars and slapping them with massive fee's for doing something which is "inconsiderate" and not actually dangerous? i can think of shit old people do day to day on a much larger scale thats both more inconsiderate, and dangerous. unfortunately it's not about this, it's about the hate for "hoons", people dont like hoons, so what do the police do? they do whatever the public wants them to do, even if it's not in the true interest of public safety. we are a spiteful race, we'd rather prosecute on emotion rather than facts.
  6. i got 15" GTS type-S barrels/rims over my GTS-t Type-M calipers, but the disk fouled at the front, rear was fine. depends what silvia ur talking about, AFAIK S15 15" stockies are 5 stud, so they might fit, my worry is they will foul on the disks.
  7. i actually never said i agreed with it, even though i do to an extent. i think its just good to see some members speaking out.
  8. it depends on each person, i had a turbo import as my first real car, it was great because at that point i wasnt overconfident, and i was slow to ever try and push the limits, and i could build my skill at the same time as i built my confidence. if id never touched a performance car, built up confidence, then jumped straight into performance car unskilled, id probably be more likely to crash it. saying that, the problem is when u have people who jump straight onto their P's, already overconfident, and have even less skill. depends on each person.
  9. ill be honest, i thought it was mildly humorous at best.
  10. ive been not let through with invisible defects if that counts? i think ive been pulled over 3 times without being defected, once i was on a permit and couldnt be defected, another i was already defected, leaving one time ive been pulled over and not defected, when it was possible to defect me. i dunno how it works for everyone else, buy i generally dont have a lot of hope of getting pulled over without copping a canary.
  11. the problem lies in officer's discretion, it basically relies on the idea that the officer is all knowing and completely inpartial, which we know is bs. giving the police the power to crush our cars based on their judgement is a very scary prospect, especially when there are so many police in the force who have a chip on their shoulder for one reason or another.
  12. that's the spirit mate!
  13. to give u guys an idea, my mates had their GTR's impounded the other week after giving it a bit of boot out of a corner, no loss of traction, no speeding, nothing. they were done for drag racing even though they werent side by side, or even speeding. no they werent done for anything else, as they couldnt (because technically they werent doing anything illegal), but this is the kind of stuff that will get u a hoon law, and with police around with a hunger for imports, its not hard to imagine people racking up 3 warnings without doing a great deal wrong.
  14. rumour has it bolger will be running one next year.
  15. luckily drift isnt racing lol
  16. i didnt either, until one time i accidently agreed with someone one time, where i was accused of basically conspiring against the mods because id accidently posted after a mod had said not to.
  17. lol, well done to completely missing the point. as i said, what people are willing to say on here, and what people are saying elsewhere out of reach from the mods are 2 different things. but i do agree that we arent getting anywhere, so may as well end it, im getting pretty bored with it all now tbh.
  18. huh? i dont have a problem with meeting the mods in real life, ive just never met sled or nightcrawler before, mainly because we just dont go to the same stuff. i've met heslo and he's a top bloke. as far as them not being harsh enough, maybe not, but that's not what im talking about, im talking about moderating to their personal feelings, if you have never been on their bad side how could u possibly understand what we're talking about?
  19. here's the deal, you guys make me mod, and ill clean it up for ya? deal? k
  20. you act as if this is some sort of war or something, it's feedback to a forum ffs, doesnt matter if people will stand behind me in a time of battle, doesnt make their feedback any less credible. people are not happy with the site, but they cant express it on here as they will get slaughtered, that's the bottom line, like it or not. as an admin of the site, wanting to encourage people to stay, and to join, id be trying to create a site where people can give feedback and ciritisism without facing a raping.
  21. heslo yes, he carries himself with a lot more professionalism and does what he was given the responsibility of being a mod for, keep the peace and keep the place clean. he doesnt engage in arguments or shit fights, then ban the other person when they get frustrated. and if you think its only me and ted that have an issue with the moderation ur kidding yourself, seriously.
  22. lol, i dont give a shit if u call me a prick, not if im allowed to call u one back. insults on the internet just dont bother me, it's the hypocrisy of the situaition which get's me, not the actual insult.
  23. lol of course i dont have an issue with being called a prick, why would i? just like you shouldnt have an issue if i call u a prick if i think ur acting like one, right?
  24. it's pretty simple, you dont run cheapy tyres on a car with a lot of power if ur after grip. lol thought that one was a given.
  25. hard to say, places vary so much in price, not to mention places doing deals etc. if u can get them for that price then go for it. it's quite cheap for RRP. and no, they arent a great tyre, but they're alright for what they are (a cheapie)
