yeh definately, i also meet a lot of SAU members at events like drift praccies and comps who come up and have a chat or when they come grab tyres etc, and they often bring up the issue with this section, pretty much all of the time they just say, meh, it's just not worth the trouble as it's never gonna do anything. and they are probably right really.

the biggest flaw i find in the plan is who's going to keep regency open if they crush the imports? defecting imports is a nice business for the gov, they dont wanna go and ruin it.

good example is "deej" over on ns, the guy was a idiot, he was basically a conspiracy theorist who ranted on about everything being a conspiracy, and everyone who didnt beleive him was stupid. everyone hated him, but at the same time, he wasnt breaking any rules, so he had the right to express freedom of speech, as stupid as it was. he was only ever banned when he said he was gonna rape a mod lol. whether u like him or not doesnt mean mods or other members have immunity to giving him shit. i dont care if you mods give me shit, or other members do, as long as i can defend myself then im happy, if you're letting people give me shit, then banning me as soon as i return fire then that's bs. as i said before, you called me a prick, yet if i did the exact same to you, i would get banned. mods are not immune to the rules, they have to play by them just as much as the members do. btw, i never had an issue with ur moderation for the many years ive been a part of this site. as much as u dont wanna hear it, its not just me that doesnt like the moderation these days, it's just no one will speak up here because they know the best it will get them is banned.

im not saying it's right, i just dont see why it wont work over here if it works over there, i honestly dont consider the australian general public, or our polies a lot more smart than them over there.

for the record, me and ted are just saying what a lot of people are thinking, the issue is some mods are creating an environment where anyone who opposes them gets raped by their mod powers. If SAU meant enough to me these days that i couldnt handle not getting banned, or on the bad side of a few of it's members, then i might keep my mouth shut too. but the honest truth is this section has gone to shit, and id rather voice my opinion and get banned than continue to keep my mouth shut and play along with this shit. as u can tell, i get bored quickly, doing this shit is the only way to keep this section worth coming to. u get to a point where all u can do is just go all out and give people shit. i might point out that the main reason it all went to shit last night was because ted reported an illegal post made by SLED personally attacking me, and SLED came back and made some poor excuse and went on to insult ted. seriously, what do u expect us to do? we play by the rules the mods just make a mockery of it, so what's the point?

but that's not how it works, if someone was to seriously give ted shit, they should be dealt out the same punishment if ted gave someone else shit. just because mods dont like ted doesnt mean anyone can break the rules, as long as its towards a member the mods dont like. the same as a mod cant just give someone shit because they dont like them, and then ban them when they are given shit back. doesnt work like that, rules are simple, you give someone shit (not in a joking fashion like u talk about) then they get warned/banned, regardless of who its towards or who it's from.

cheers man, yeh as much as i stir shit on ns, i have a pretty decent relationship with a lot of the SA members, it's simply because no one takes stuff too seriously. i dont know if u remember back in the day when it was me vs the cool kids in the SA section on ns, but we gave eachother proper payouts and had proper arguments, a lot worse than here, but when it came time to meeting them in real life we just had a laugh about the shit stirring etc. there were no hard feelings because no one takes the shit seriously, its just a bit of fun to pass some time. as soon as you take the internet serious, you're doing it wrong.

buy some R32 GTR wheels, chuck some 255/45's on, roll guards, R32 B6 bilsteins (nice and soft), stock springs (soft), pineapples in, aligned for maximum squat. that would be my guess for a fairly cheap setup for straight line stuff.

2 reasons why i wouldnt go to pedders: there stuff is generally shit they spend more time training theirs salesman than their mechanics, they are skilled at selling u shit u dont need and for more than u should pay. unfortunately this is the go with a lot of places like this. go to a suspension place which specialising in suspension, not sales.

i was banned. but that's not the issue, i dont care if i get banned or warned, as long as it was for the right thing. if i did something wrong then so be it, if it was simply a mod getting annoyed at me then that's a different story. personally speaking my mind and not hiding in a little hole is worth more than a week of SAU. i was just banned on ns for calling someone a name, tbqh it doesnt worry me, i know i was in the wrong even though i wasnt being serious, it was a slip up on my behalf and i'll happily take it.

btw, just so we're clear: this is shit stirring. this is a personal attack. there's nothing illegal about a bit of shit stirring, sled could have chosen to be mature and ignored it, but instead he took the immature route and reply with a personal attack. he escalated it. honestly i thought this would be pretty clear, as a moderator you're role is to keep the peace, not escalate trouble. sled could have simply let the intial argument slide, doing his job of keeping the peace, but instead he chose to escalate it and return fire, then when he got annoyed i was the one that was warned, even though we were both playing equal roles. if i have to tell u this isnt right, then you shouldnt be a moderator.

i was talking about in real life, sled is not a moderator in real life. i will respect the mods, when they are doing a good job. for instance i respect iron chef as a mod on ns (popped into my mind after seeing his post in here) as he does a good job of moderating, he has warned me before, and i was fine with it, why? because i was warned because i broke the rules and i was out of line, i didnt just simply disagree with him.

bahaha, u think all the shit stirring i do is serious? lol ull find that a lot of people off this site have met me, moreso on ns, in fact i think theres not a lot of members on ns who's met more members in real life than me. as far as being a keyboard warrior, without meeting me in real life that's a pretty big call, ull find that i have no reservations to stand by my arguments in real life just like i do in here. respect? you are member with the responsibility to moderate the site, you do not automatically deserve any more respect than an average member. i respect a lot of moderators for doing a good job of moderating. as far as ns goes, ud be surprised, see over there they moderate to the guidelines, sure sometimes there's a bit of moderators discretion, but overall i find it quite good. and as hard as it is for u to understand, not all the mods over there love me as much as u guys do. yet they are still able to keep there personal feelings away from their moderating, most of the time at least.
