  1. yes please. i think i might be throwing u a PM in the future, was originally gonna be like every other f**ker out there and put a RB30 in, but starting to think a build RB20 is the way to go.
  2. should be same either side.
  3. dunno why we are even arguing about this. all gary did was point out a technicality in your post, and he was right.
  4. UPDATED
  5. i havnt got around to getting any pics of those yet. if u really want pics i can get some.
  6. dude, what are u even going on about? u asked US a question which u didnt give enough information, assuming was the only way we could give u a half decent answer.
  7. u only corrected the rear toe in, not the front. so afaik so still meant u were running front toe in. dont know why ur getting arced up at me for your typo. i was just adding my 2c as to setup like you did, i dont see the big issue with that.
  8. lol at thinking speedway = drift i dont see one of those links saying toe in at the front is reccomended. my main point was about front toe, and ill stand by it. yes, a bit of rear toe out can help initiate drift, but instability is a negative side-effect of toe out, its not something you aim for. if ur going for more turn in ur almost always better off dealing with the front toe first.
  9. its exactly t the same over here, u need a CAMS license over here too, u can get a temp one on the day, same cost for the track, split it between 10 people and uve got $350ea. i never said driver training was useless, i said in an emergency situation when ur relying on ur subconcious, one track day wont do a lot. it will how ever help u while you can conciously think about what ur doing.
  10. QUOTE EDITED TO WHATS STILL AVAILABLE
  11. out of interest, why are u worried about other people's personal opinion as to how to modify your car? imo depends on the rest of the car's styling. what a lot of people forget, is no part looks good on its own, its about suiting the overal style you are going for.
  12. defect fine? lol its a breach of ADR's dude, defects are a completely different ball game. $203? wow, must have gone up a bit since my last one, thought they were only $150ish.
  13. not an ABS issue, if anything locking up the front can sometimes help in that situation. by putting ur foot on the brake ur throwing the car's balance out, can be helpful in a drift situation done well, but unless u know what ur doing its almost always going to make the situation worse. my advice is to get urself out to a few grip and drift days, both will teach u different skills, both very valuable. btw, imo driver training is useless for those kind of situations, they will teach u things that you can use in day to day driving, but as far as heavy situations ur subconcious takes over and does the work for you, one day of driver training will not train ur subconcious, only repeated days at the track practicing it all will.
  14. :S last time i checked u wanted stability. personally i and many others run a bit/lot of toe out at the front to increase turn in, then run close to nuetral on the rear to keep the rear still stable. having toe out at the rear, and toe in at the front it pretty much the opposite of what most drifters, hell, most drivers want.
  15. well, in fairness, these days we just assume ur talking about an aftermarket adjustable coilover package when people say "coilovers", but technically saying you're going to put in "coilovers" means nothing. you could be putting in the stock coilovers for all we know. a bit of clarification in future is handy.
  16. camber wear isnt that bad, just make sure u rotate and ull be fine. toe or under/overinflation wrecks tyres more as it wears the tyre in a less reversible way.
  17. that's what u think, but ive got some news for you... i was faking it.
  18. he's too trustworthy tbh, he's been stung many times before.
  19. well remember this originated from this: yes the freight is covered if they insure it when they send it, but as far as the faulty items go, it doesnt look like Nengun offer anything either.
  20. Skylines have rear camber adjustment, as well as toe adjustment. both camber and toe dynamically change with height, if u install coilovers and lower ur car, ur camber will change, and ur toe might, depending on how much bump steer is in ur geometry.
  21. whiteline do some adjustable arms with urethane bushing, reliable design, somewhat outdated (as far as clearance for larger coilovers go at the rear), and u have the aussie support. as far as rose joint stuff, cusco and ikeya formula are ur best bet for quality. theres also a bloke here in SA looking to start making proper quality stuff as an alternative to the junk which makes up the majority of the market atm.
  22. in the pooper like a trooper.
  23. lol f**king lol u think one advanced driving course will make u perfectly modulate ur brakes in a emergency situation? seriously? u need multiple track days to even begin to build up any sort of subconcious skill, ive done plenty of track days, plenty of practice modulating brakes on the track. but still, in a emergency situation i will still sometimes lock up brakes. does that mean im not a competant driver?
  24. definately, the XD9's are just a cheap cast wheel, quite heavy, and not really that strong, would be a massive downgrade from standard wheels.
