  1. 1: stay the f**k away from D2 and G4 at all cost 2: off the shelf B6 S13 bilsteins are pretty good, relatively hard and will comfortably take a 6/4kg spring setup (i believe, need to double check the fronts as i really only have the damper specs for rear), which is a good setup for drift. 3: camber adjustment from coilovers is only available at the front, u can buy camber tops separately which can be used with bilsteins if u wanted to. for the rear u need adjustable arms 4: regardless of what suspension u go with, sway bars are a must, adjustability is a must.
  2. we're getting away from the point and arguing technicalities, which will just complicate the thread further. as far as the last statement goes, refer back to here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4563303 i cbf repeating myself.
  3. reported. if u dont think the SAU club will have any implied association with SAU then i really dont know how i can make my view any more clear.
  4. because ur creating a club associated with SAU, ur not creating ur own little club off to the side which has nothing to do with us, if u want to go create a club called "hypnotik" or whatever it was originally gonna be then that's fine, but as someone who has been a part of SAU for 4 years, i dont want to see the SAU name go down the shitter with this club.
  5. i might have to man, hopefully ill be able to buy something, but if i cant ill throw u a PM.
  6. pretty sure they are high pressure. i wouldnt bother with nissan, there should be another place who will supply at much cheaper.
  7. some people like having sex with children as well...
  8. that wasnt really my point, as a minimum recognising drift or grip practices would be nice considering they are the most popular regular CAMS events on the calendar. so far all i see is a bunch of people wanting to pay $$ just so they can meet up at villis on a friday night. seems pointless to me. i want to know what people expect to achieve out of this club, why should people join besides having a membership card or something? if people want CAMS affiliation so they can get a CAMS license then SCCSA are cheap as shit and they have a lot more to offer (so far) call me negative, it just seems the only real selling point for this club is the novelty of being apart of the SAUSA club. u can either call me names (and deeply hurt my feelings, whilst making yourself look infinitely mature), or u can actually provide an answer.
  9. oh, so now we can insult people? awesome! or is that special privileges for mods only? all ill say is that i want to see a decent SAUSA club, its not just another random club i can choose to not join, as i want to be a part of the SAUSA club, the issue is the format in which this attempt was made is completely wrong imo, and a few people piping up with feedback isnt going to change this. i would rather see the club setup by someone like cubes actually interested in improving the SAU community by being interested in actively organising events, rather than some person who comes on here after a while, not with the best reputation when it comes to these things i might add, and clearly is more interested in her own personal agenda than anything else, then half way down the line it gets discussed that maybe it should be called SAUSA club. it's just a recipe for a really bad club, or at least a club that i have no interest in. which is unfortunate as like i mentioned, i would love to be part of the SAUSA club.
  10. on the subject of dumps, i just found the mandrel bend on my dump "crimped" and the flange pulled away from the exhaust housing at the top. turns out my car was so low for AJD the flange near the cat caught on a sewer cover in the middle of the road (like 5mm lip or something) when i was reversing out of my driveway, and pushed the dump forwards and down. it's a AM performance split dump too, not f**king happy.
  11. honestly, i think they are cheap suspension. tbh i dont see a lot of difference in cheap suspension, unless they have the horror stories of G4 and D2, then ur really just buying blind as none of them are backed by any credible sources, all u can go off is some bloke who just put in "coilies" into his car and thinks they are tops. if ur dead set on buying cheap stuff, id buy from Ryan at ISC as he's a genuine bloke trying to run a decent business. as far as those spring rates are concerned they are overkill unless ur car is a fully built race machine running slicks (but then u wouldnt be buying ISC's), or ur looking for a slippery as f**k car that will have no roll. my biggest concern with cheap suspension is they dont revalve their dampers for each spring rate, so the heavy rate will give u a harsh ride, but wont make the car as solid as ud expect due to the dampers being underdamped, leaving the springs undercontrolled.
  12. WTB: STANDARD R32 SHOCKS!!!! only need fronts
  13. you dont understand what im saying, and it doesnt look like its gonna sink in any time soon so i wont bother anymore.
  14. when i went to 10 degrees from 4-5 degrees it was a dream to drive. im now back down to 7 degrees and its still great.
  15. dont think u really have any idea of what im suggesting, have a read again, not suggesting we go to mallala for the meeting.
  16. you having a piss isnt a massive part of what the club is about though is it? you're completely missing the point, i dont think u guys realise why u pay such a fee to be in a club like this? a lot of it is to simply for CAMS affiliation so you can focus on the motorsport side of things. i havnt seen any talk in this thread about motorsport events being organised or supported which makes me think its the furthest thing from the organisers mind, then chosing to organise a meeting on one of the biggest regular motorsport events, then saying owell, big deal, just confirms my thoughts.
  17. lol i know its not a deliberate attempt, but what the hell is this club about if not about events like drift practice? i personally dont see the point in paying to be in a CAMS affilialted "social" club which is only interested in meeting at villis and going crusing on a friday night. moving a meeting onto one of the most popular regular CAMS events shows a complete disregard for the motorsport side of things.
  18. as far as people who have just put cheap coilovers in and are "happy" with them, you give a starving kid from etheopia a big mac and they are gonna think its a great meal, doesnt mean it is.
  19. is this a theory ur relying on, or has it been proven that castor is bad for drift? AFAIK every top level drift car runs aftermarket castor arms to get more castor than standard (usually around 7 degrees or more). the added response and wheel return outweighs any possible mid corner issues, thats where added lock comes in to play, to give more lock to hold more mid drift angle. dont underestimate how important quick transitions and initiations are in drift.
  20. lol this is exactly my point, what's the point of a CAMS affiliated club if ur basically shunning people who actually regularly attend CAMS events?
  21. its from 5pm onwards, + usually an hour or more drive, + preperation, and if ur a driver ull probably spend the day prepping ur car etc.
  22. welcome to SAU, hope you enjoy the site, be sure to use the search feature! lol
  23. ok thanks, now i know not to give a shit about ur opinion next time i see one of ur posts. ur probably one of those guys who sits in his garages in the nude polishing his skyline, with a container of polish in one hand, "some for you, some for me", then starts a thread when a rock bounces up and puts a chip in ur paint.
  24. 9th of may is a drift practice.
