  1. what size tyre? if u go wider rim, and maintain tyre size, u can have the rim sticking out further, but the actual tyre tread stays in the same place, its the sidewall which makes up the extra width. this means u get the look of the wheels sticking out further, but having almost exactly the same clearance.
  2. ud be amazed what bit of tyre stretch a set of balls can do.
  3. i dunno, best i can think of is check the lock angle on an alignment, i dont know a lot about this issue, these guys would tho: http://hardtuned.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=360823
  4. sounds like u have more than just spacers :S
  5. lol what tyre place puts on spacers to fit wheels for u? anyway, id check that. but yeh, fluids and pads need to be checked, if ur pads have heaps of meat left just leave them and watch out for fade, but as far as fluid goes get something decent as fluid can boil and go without warning.
  6. i found a bit over 3mm (over both sides) was best for me, i recently just chucked in 2x 1.6mm ones in over the top of the standard ones, locked her up good and tight lol just be careful, if u go too thick like i did, it wont fit in the housing anymore, i had to create custom bearing shims (thinner) so it fit in lol.
  7. haha im never far when there's someone in offset trouble.
  8. ok, if u want the tough stance ur gonna have to lose the 19's, chances are they are tempe specials with shitty offsets, i could be wrong, but i doubt it. if u want that tough stance with wheels out of the guards, 18x10 +20ish, 245/45's, modify guards to suit (should be just a roll), done. 19's do not look tough on 33's, they look SXC that ud be NVS of, leave them for the sex spec cars, real men run >18" with low offset. note: R34 GTR's can pull off 19's, V35's and 350's can pull it off too, but it needs to be done right, a lot of fiddling with fitment to get them acceptable.
  9. yeh was a lot more than i was told it would be by 2 sources including gary, but thats the way things go i guess.
  10. shimming ur diff will void ur warranty, lol.
  11. lol i just realised ive been dealing with heasmans for the last few weeks to get my bilsteins revalved, i was just calling them sydney shocks, its only when u said jono worked there it kind of clicked as he's the guy that did my shit. to give an idea, mine cost me around $400, and trade was like $80 less or something, so how he could sell them for even close to off the shelf doesnt add up for me. for the record i only paid $50 for my shocks so was about the same cost as newies anyway, just with custom valving.
  12. yeh they have been doing more half cuts n shiz, not many individual parts. the guys at the old z-imports have done me a decent price in the past, but import spares is where i take my business these days.
  13. probably will, im at the point where i cbf playing the game, i just get angry and stomp my feet lol.
  14. exactly, i was asking how they were still at off the shefl prices if they were revalved?
  15. wheels in the air shouldnt bust ur shocks, as they are still in the static position, but will put a bit of pressure on the travel stops if it is infact the shocks which are suspending the wheel, often its the arms/rods or half shaft suspending the wheels up, and the shocks arent.
  16. yeh switch the front and rear around and u should be right, no guarentees as +32 is still fairly high, but should be enough. and yeh, refer to this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wh...de-t216654.html regarding offset.
  17. lower offset, i run rack spacers and every time i go back to stockies for whatever reason i get rail rub, simply because of the high offset. what rims are u running (width/dia/offset) and tyre size.
  18. it isnt as simple as more tyre width = more traction, ur better off with a thinner quality tyre than a cheaper wider one. just keep an eye on treadwear ratings if ur really worried about that.
  19. nah will be going through next week for a 2nd inspection, then on goes straight throughy zorst, 30mm spacers all round on my 17x9 +24's, drop it on its arse and take it to all japan day lol
  20. think that might be the record, i think it was mac dog that was done within the first few minutes of buying his daily.
  21. interesting. porsche sabotage?
  22. sounds like ur shocks are buggered for some reason, are they on full hard adjustment wise?
  23. so he revalved the R33 ones? if so how were they still at off the shelf prices?
