  1. just found this on ns, maybe its a bit harsher than i originally thought: honestly if thats first offense thats utter bs. for how little amount "hooning" makes up the road toll, it just doesnt add up.
  2. less agressive tread pattern, different compound (will have less maximum grip, but will have a lower heat range so dont need to be warmed up as much, but will get greasy at higher temps quicker, also wont wear as quickly)
  3. so they were speeding, doing burnouts, and road rafe and the police were powerless to do anything? lol, how about reckless/dangerous driving, speeding, loss of control, undue care and whatever laws are associated with road rage, police were't powerless, there were plenty of avenue's they could have taken but didnt, either because they didnt have sufficient evidence (in which case hoon laws wouldnt have helped either), they were too lazy, or thought they would give him just a warning. i hardly think impounding his car for 24hrs or whatever it is would have been enough of a deterant for someone like that.
  4. whiteline make adjustable arms as well, although they are a bit of a bitch at the rear with the camber arms fouling on the big bilsteins.
  5. why do u want the exact ones in the group buy? if anything id stay the f**k away from those bushes in the GB, absolutely useless for adjustment.
  6. actually yeh, sorry, im refering to wheel width.
  7. if its a street car maybe go the adrenalines or RE-01R's, they are more suited to street use. although personally if i was after RE-01R's id look at direzza DZ1's
  8. yeh if ur interested in corners as well then def go something like the RE55s
  9. actually im almost certain width doesnt come into it, u can go as wide as u want as long as u dont protrude from the guards and increase the track by an inch.
  10. i wouldnt be getting RE55s if i was interested in just acceleration, id be going the more drag orientated tyres, granted i dont know much about drag tyres, but i know they run the softer sidewalls, not firm like the RE55s, and id imagine they'd have more focus on straight line grip and less about lateral grip etc just depends what ur focus is, whether u wanna hit corners or just straight line.

    Z-tune?

lol not exactly familiar with the z-tune are ya? haha
  12. roll ur guards first and foremost. 235 will fit under ur front guards fine, whether u want to go a 9" or 8.5" is up to u as its mainly tyre clearance on the UCA thats the issue, not the rim so much, but i would stay around the +30 mark. for the rear u can fit a 255 fairly comfortably, the issue here is wheel clearance on the hicas knuckle, not tyre clearance, ive found 9.5 +40 is the limit for a 17" and smaller (18" and bigger is a different story), +35ish to be safe, that equates to the limit for a 9" being around +45. now having the higher offset means there is more guard clearance for the tyre, so going the 9" over the 9.5" might actually allow u to go a wider tyre funnily enough.
  13. the group A GTR's ran lock bars, although they aren't legal for regency
  14. the tread is the same width, its usually the sidewalls which give the illusion if it being wider, they have thicker sidewalls and hence sit more square and look wider.
  15. lol that doesnt look anything like a 215 on a 9.5", not saying it isnt, just doesnt look like it
  16. since when is the "sydneykid setup" not available anymore? whiteline/selby still make sway bars, bilstein still make shocks, eibach/whiteline still make springs, whiteline still make alignment parts. the funny part is if u buy smart ull still pay less than what gary was charging in the group buy.
  17. wasnt too hard, cant remember if we even needed to use a baby elephant or not, ive seen people go much bigger stretch, but i dont really like running anything smaller than 215.
  18. yeh but they are talking about the order of adjustment, not the order of buying the parts. when u buy adjustable sway bars, alignment arms and adjustable shocks, it gives u the adjustment to play with the setup, to change spring rates u have to buy completely different springs.
  19. not really, they are very light (ive had a set myself), but not amongst the lightest.
  20. hey mate, the coupe and sedans are actually very similar, basically the only difference is a bit of extra length in the boot behind the rear wheels (around 50mm or so), and a bit more head room, i dont have the pic of the 2 cars dimensions on this computer but imm sure someone does.
  21. haha they actually sold a few days back but forgot to update the thread on here.
  22. sorry mate, prices are fixed, cheap enough already.
  23. f**kin oath u would. if u were gonna get done for doing a burnout, why not do it out the front of police graduation.
