  1. the bilsteins are circlip height adjustable, its not as easy as threaded sleeve adjustment, but fine if u dont plan on changing height all the time. you can however put threaded sleeves on the bilsteins to make it easily height adjustable like any other coilover package.
  2. all wheels will fit a R32 GTS-t, the GTR ones may need u to roll ur guards, same with GTR wheels on all GTS/T's. GTS wont fit obviously as they are 4 stud, unless they are type-s, type-s wheels will clear rear calipers but not front.
  3. the thread was designed for just wheel info, but as far as tyre sizing goes this is much better: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp
  4. Here's a fairly easy to use list of ADR stuff: http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/pdfs/person..._bulletin_3.pdf these are only a guildeline apparently, in the end a defect if up to the "officer's discretion"
  5. go a lower offset, ull be pushing for inner clearance up front.
  6. need more information, wheel width and offset would be a good start
  7. ive been to some great cruises which have notified the cops, was awesome knowing that they werent coming after it, also heard about/been on some disasters where cops were set up waiting for the cruise. i voted for 2, but tbh im changing my mind as well, i think sepration is the way.
  8. great in theory, bs in practice. this year my car has only seen maybe 2 months of driving, in this time i have had 3 trips to regency and 1 to a cop shop. my car has a standard body, is around legal height, has legal wheels, has a legal engine etc etc, in fact the only things i have to change over for regency are things which no cop could ever spot, so from a cops perspective, my car is legal, the things they defected me for were all legal things which i go through regency with. for the record im the nicest guy to the police, no smart arse comments, nothing, i do not drive like an idiot, in fact i drive like a granny. so no, if u modify ur car sublty and dont drive like an idiot, you CAN still get picked up. not really, besides spamming, which is pretty obvious. they could do it, its just whether they'd go to the effort of doing it.
  9. i havnt read any of this thread, but what about restricting the thread to members only, maybe with at least 100 posts or something so cops cant sign up just to view the thread etc. i think people underestimate how much cops read forums.
  10. a lot of its luck, i know as soon as i get a cop whether they will defect me or not, im still really nice to them either way, but i can tell that they are looking for a defect. saying that a lot of cops arent nessasarily there for a defect, but if ur a c*nt to them, they wont have any issues pulling out the yellow sticker.
  11. yeh the 4drs certainly dont seem to deter cops, ive been defected 3 times by cops in the last 6 months. mines not even that low, maybe 20mm below standard, standard body with a GTR front bar.
  12. they are sold anyway. cheers
  13. SA is much worse than Vic, even most vics know that.
  14. the eyebrow height has been mentioned a lot over the years, a quick search would find that. all im saying is one thread with all the collective info would be better then seeing a new defect thread pop up each week with the same questions.
  15. lol gah, im used to ns's flood control which merges consecutive posts
  16. i just wanted to bump this up as its kind of interesting i thought, not looking to do it, just out of interest. there is a slight bit more torque, and with the NEO head no doubt it comes on earlier, but mostly it produces the same power with lower compression ratio (9.5 compared to the 10.2 for the R32 RB20, and 8.5 for the DET) so as far as chucking a turbo on it, it sounds like it could work well. anyone have any more input?
  17. correct, and the book cops carry says this as well which is the main thing at least, well actually the cop i most recently had said 345 for the rear, but i think he just got it around the wrong way.
  18. btw do we really need a new thread for a single defect? its the same question every time, not to be an arsehole but if every import driver posted up when they got defected ud have no room left for any other topics.
  19. wow, uve been driving around with a car that low and only just got defected? id be counting urself pretty damn lucky.
  20. hey, got a standard LSD centre out of a R32, will fit all cars that take R200 diff, ratio may vary tho. i noticed a slight whine when it was in, but i have the exact same whine with my new diff in so it may just be gearbox. either way it was extremely slight and only noticed it on occasions, and it wasnt enough to annoy me. i can put a extra shim in it as well for an extra $50. Diff centre with standard shim: $100 Diff centre with shim size of you're choice: $150 located in SA, can post anywhere in Aus for about $20 id say (will have to check)
  21. hey mate, they arent heaps old, think i bought them last year some time from SK, car has been on and off the road for defects and repairs, also didnt drive the thing for like 5 months because of a fractured foot, so hasnt seen heaps of wear.
  22. yeh ive run 215's on a 9.5" before, they had some decent stretch, wouldnt stretch much more than that tho, its like driving on ice.
  23. spotted a nice 32 on the southern express way, looked like it had some bronze wheels on, sat nice in the guard. i was in the cream R31, just bought the f**ker haha
  24. ur thinking of the front, the rear is identical. i forgot to mention they are rears, since i cant edit ill just start another thread haha
