I dont think its for cable clearance reasons as there is another small dint next to it plus its quite a weird shape. Maybe your just being paranoid and looking for a reason or fault that you would not have noticed before but do now because your lookin for it?

Yeh i agree...sounds a little too suss to have 120 across ALL cylinders and yes i belive this is very low. Again like Nismo said it will depend on the conditions the test was done (wam/cold) I did comp and leak down test on my old neo rb25 (cold) and got these figures 1)120 2)165 3)160 4)155 5)150 6)155 Pulled apart engine and piston 1 was FRIED as a mofo ------> SEE PICS BELOW I would be VERY careful. Could turn out to be a lemon and cost you big. My 2 Cents

Um by the way...we still havn't established what the car actually already has???he may have half the stuff that paul 33 has listed so in that case...where could his extra money be better spent? a better turbo perhaps or maybe a bit more tlc to drivetrian or suspension in order to put this "250 - 300kw's" to the ground -

Got a FMIC???...if not, their would be a good place to start. Then i agree with what abo and paul33 have said about A/M ECU and a tune. I have the same conversion as you,33 gearbox and all. Dont boost her too high. fried my standard pistons 6 months ago from poor tune and overboosting - ooops. Got full forged rebuild now and i can tell you that the engine respond very well with rebuild and more flow from extensively ported head. Love the torque!

ACL racing pistons are pretty good. Got em in my RB25. Yeh some say the lesser known brands will do the job while others say its all about the reputation and the name behind it. Really up to personal choice, application/use and the depth of your pockets. For possibly the VERY FIRST TIME on these forums i have to agree with the NISMOID on this one...go check out the nissansilvia website which will offer you a wealth of info on the SR20 and setups that have worked and havnt worked.

Good point gtr legend...thanks for that USEFUL info. That article was TOPS and i reccomend everybody has a read of it. Read this Probly leaning towards the greddy PRofec B or a PRofec e1 (the one with the screen display) which isnt in the article but looks very kewl. What do you guys think of the PRofec e1? be interested to know. Cheers

what do u mean "it spikes"?...probly a little high if you want your engine to last...yeh but i didnt really understand that bit about you describing your boost...u dyno tuned it recently?

Haha...make up your mind mate. Well i'd get all ur shit sorted out eg coils whatever. Should be fine tho for the mods/power you have...what boost you running? I just run a mapped microtech ecu without afm...annoying when afm f*k up. You have a jap import...get used to spending lots of money...never satisfied haha.

RB20 im guessin. Personally i'd ditch the stockas ECU and upgrade to an aftermarket item before you do injectors...just my opinion...you have all basic mods. next up is ecu change and then you can think about injectors, boost contoller, bov and the like. Up to you.

Ok fair enough that you say they are going to try sell boost controllers but hmmm let me think...dont they sell wastegates aswell , there's something for you to ponder 'MAD082' ?...that is their market but i dont think they are gonna wanna be misleading ppl if this information is incorrect (i deal with accc cases) therefore i beleive what they say to be correct and yes I DO UNDERSTAND IT...im not retarded 'MAD082'. No i dont think otherwise...I KNOW you can adjust boost this way but what im saying is that its less of a f*k around, more accurate and an extremely superior and "EFFECTIVE" means of adjusting and controlling boost. I think you need to re read the whole post mate 'MAD082'. And in my opinion...if there is any horsepower to be gained, why not do it? EBC makes much more sense and is a 21st century approach as opposed to 50 million year old manual waste gate adjustments and the like. "it will probably work better than a ebc and a 5psi wastegate, as the most possible boost drop with the manual setup is 1psi. with the ebc its 10psi." Um this sounds like a no brainer but wouldnt it make more sense to run a 16psi wastegate adjustment in this case and then use ebc to get it to within a 100th...therefore obviously being more accurate than manual adjustement. why the hell would you run 5 psi wastegate....of course your going to be out! Just a thought.
