  1. The car didnt come with seats etc... I didnt pay top dollar for it, so I didnt expect the world.

dash alignment? what does that suppose to mean..

and i said I have all the paperwork so yes I will say it again, yes..

    PM's replied.

I swear why are there so many haters I am just trying to sell a car and I have tried to list as much info as possible.

    Hi Chris,

Not sure what the flavour of PM's you've been getting has been, but I think some member's commentary and questioning is legit. I like to think mine has been - so I don't regard myself as a hater. However, put simply, anyone with even half a brain wanting to purchase this (or similar) vehicle would (or should!) ask such questions, and I would have to say that perhaps you didn't list all the information possible. That said, let's move forwards from here, for it is still an R is it not, and therefore worth something. Mine was a serious offer and - to be honest - I am not sure how much more you think it will go for (although i appreciate you may not be happy with the price I am offering). I believe someone else has also offered - hopefully this was more, but if so - at what stage do you consider this to be worth, or not worth it?

Free bump anyway - and GL with the sale - it's a worthwhile project for someone!

  2. Hi mate - from what I can see, the car was applied for import in early 2006 (2 years ago)...and note Page 2 of a VIA which states, amongst other things, that 'if not complied within 12 months.........vehicle must be destroyed' (etc etc).

No offense meant by this, as I am looking at cars such as this as a genuine purchase, but it would seem that your R32 may have failed for a reason, and it's a matter of knowing what that reason was, and can it still be complied, to determine if it can be sold in the condition you say it can. My understanding is that only the workshop who applied to import the car can comply it, and are they prepared to guarantee that it will pass compliance?

    Rgds,

    Jez

  3. If I have my sums correct....

    1) Engine rebuild - circa $6500

    2) Compliance - circa $3500

    3) Front bar and seats - circa $750

    4) Bodywork and spray - circa $4000

    5) Miscellaneous (stereo, gear shift knob, pedals, that's just what I see) - $750

That's $15000. Given that this would then be about a $20K car, suggests car is worth $5K at most. When I say at most, there is obviously no guarantee that the other mechanicals are OK as well, nor any guarantee that the car actually will pass compliance (especially if the complier sees this post!!).

I'll offer a genuine and immediate $3500. If others don't agree, by all means, they have every opportunity to offer more.

I suspect you would be much better off wrecking the car, despite your wishes to the contrary....

    cheers,

    J

  4. Hi Samual - correct me if I'm wrong, but at $5500 my car is probably at the cheaper end for a 32 NA. At $15500 (and no RWC, cos you'd have to get mine from tas remember) yours is...how do I put this.....well, $15500 would be an insane price (unless it's a late Series 2 - 97/98, low klms, fully kitted, etc etc). I assume not, so if you get to hobart, I'd be willing to pay you around $5K

    for others....I am happy to consider trade down as long as it is not an aussie car of similar vintage, and I get a few thou my way. I am also happy to consider trade up, as long as you;

    a) price your car realistically, which means it can't be imported for about 40% less than you are asking, or I can't find 20 on carsales for 20% less, and

    b) you are prepared to get to hobart to effect the swap (you can leave your car in Melbourne, but you've got to get this from hobart)

guys, it's cheap for what it is, so I'm after an easy sale. if I wanted a complex one I would have kept the price at $7900 or other unrealistic price

  5. Hi Tony - this is possibly the case - can anyone advise? Perhaps yours is a later model R32? All I can say is - these were fitted inside the R32 GTR I am currently wrecking, and I have not had an R33 for many many years, so I am not sure how the mix up could have occurred, is anyone able to advise if there are differences between carpets for early and late R32 GTR?

  7. Hey guys,

I need a rear seat for an R32 GTR. Not fussed on condition. Don't worry about postage - I'll pay for the courier. All I need is 1-2 photos, brief description and your price. (and no responses with 'how much you wanna pay?' - the answer is obviously $0).

Also need all brake lines to replace braided lines. Again, I'll arrange courier.

    Cheers,

    Jez

  8. Hey Guys,

If I can't sell these tyres at these prices I'm just gonna throw em in the trash, they're starting to fill up the lounge room and the missus is none too pleased with my suggesting that they'd make good pot plant holders.

    2 x 265/35ZR18 Yokohama DNA tyres about 20% tread $35 the pair

    1 x Dunlop SP9000 245/40ZR18 30% tread - $25

    1 x Dunlop SP9000 245/40ZR18 70% tread - $65

    1 x Ventus 245/40ZR18 85% tread - $85

    or $190 the lot

    Brissie CBD

    cheers,

    Jez
