Well done Dave. Sux but could have been a lot worse as you know. Hope to see you out and about very soon! Let me know if I can help by swinging a spanner or finding bits for you! I OWE YOU! One love.

SCUM! The only time I would be happy losing my car like that is if they killed themselves in it!

FS: Digital dash and rs232 for stock ecus

Is the price still $300? How does you device compare to NewKlear's? -
The problem happens ALL the time. Not just when cold or first starting. I can drive solid for an hour and stop at the lights and it will idle at 1500-2000rpm. This is most anoying when in traffic and you are bumping along at low revs but every time you put your foot on the clutch it jumps up.

Hi Guys, I am having a little issue with my idle still. I have replaced my O2 sensor, cleaned and resoldered my AFM, Cleaned my ACC Valve and reset my ECU. The problem is that it idles at 1500-2000rpm for about 5secs and then drops down to normal! It is an RB20det in an R32 GTS-t. I have quite a few mods but don't think that is relevent at this stage. Resetting the ECU has fixed the problem before but it came back the other day after a big drive (400KM). I am happy to reset it again, but I am guessing it will continue to occur and due to it fixing itself after a reset it should be electrical and I think it would be worth checking the ECU for error codes and might be able to narrow it down. I have had a look but I have not found anything conclusive. Can someone instruct me how to check for codes (is it a light that flashes a certain number of times and that number corresponds with a particular fault?) and could someone post up a list of the codes and their meanings? Any other help would be great!! I have also read about a consult cable that connects to your notebook... This could be good, would this be a better option? If I am able to get all the info it could be an idea to add it to the FAQ sticky. Thanks guys!! Todd

Any chance you can give us a run down on what is involved?? i.e; Where to get programs? What hardware is needed? What you have learnt? Anything else you can share that may help me/us... Thanks Dave!

-
That is a good thing then Were you up at the drifts? Have you got a pic of your car?? Wouldn't happend to be black with white starcorp rims... near toyota?? I love that car! (doesn't matter if it's not! )
-
Hmmmmm, Mark... really doesn't ring a bell sorry. What do you know about my car?? Good I hope

WELL DONE MATE!! I am looking at doing this myself... I have had it rechipped and dyno tuned by Dr Drift but I want to add GTR injectors and a Z32 AFM (already have the gear!) I should be able to just replace the chip and check / modify the AFR on a dyno but a little know how will be needed!! As GMB said, are you able to read the data from my current chip? Anyway, well done again!!
-
Yeah, that was the deciding point for me... Free entry and a good park!
-
I will be up there... you will see my car in the show 'n' shine.

You have one now?

hey mate... best off using a coathanger or similar as a pull wire between the door and the cabin. Tape the speaker wire to the pull wire, poke it thought the rubber grommets and drag it through. Can be fiddly but generally works best in my experence... If you don't used black speaker wire, you might want to wrap it in black tape to hide it. Whoala!

would be BEST if sam did another trip!

Thanks B. Well, it is in the bodyworks at the moment like I said so it will be looking spot on when it comes out! I now have GTR injectors and the resistor pack and a Z32 AFM so I will be looking at getting a retune. I am tossing up whether to get Dr Drift to do it again or to go aftermarket. I am about to investigate SAFC's... Can anyone tell me if I can add the new injectors and AFM and tune it up with that or would I need to go the PFC? I am not looking at taking it to Melb to get a tune because it is going to cost too much and I may aswel spend the cash buying something I can have tuned down here! I am thinking about getting Sam to send me another chip with a map to suit the injectors and AFM and then get the A/F ratios checked on a dyno down here. If nessecary, I could always send the ratios up to him and he can adjust it best he can... Any help or suggestions on this would be great. I rekon there will be a little dry period in 4 weeks... I am going to be a dad Todd

yeah, as you said there are multiple groves under the spring seat that alow your to adjust the height... mine are set to the lowest at the rear and are second from the bottom at the front. You will also notice that they are reccomended by 'sydneykid' in the suspension section and offered by him with a package in the group buy section. I personally have purchaed the whole package he is offereng and can't wait to install it and to have it all aligned to his specs! He appeares to have tested a lot and to know his shit plus there has been an aweful lot of positive feedback from his work. Worth looking in to at least!!
