  1. yeah, my bet is your coils... are you running boost past stock level?
  2. sweet dude! can't wait to find out!! I am hoping for / expecting around 180-190rwkw... I just got a new dump pipe from xrated so will be fitting that tomorrow! Now I just need to get the AFM and injector resistor pack! I am going to wait for sam to come back down though, worth the wait to save the $$... would even be cheper to use someone elses dyno and pay for his flight!
  3. yeah, I would say turbo to manifold gasket has shat itself, mine did the same... bit of a te te ticking type sound as it spooled and then turbo rhaeeeerrreeeeeee'd on boost... when I pulled it off, I was missing about 2cm off the bottom of the turbo to manifold gasket! am interested in the outcome though, do update when you find it!
  4. Have just done my timing belt, water pump, tensioner and idler bearings, painted my timing belt cover and just fitted an R34 turbo (28,000km's) last night... I will be fitting my GTR injectors and getting a Dump/Front pipe and a Z32 AFM very soon... (The will get it retuned by Dr Drift). Also going to do a plug and oil change... think this stuff is too thick.

  7. If I was him I would want to be sure it was not going to happen again! somehow the same thing happens to 2 turbos and then you try and fix it by putting in a $1000-$1500 turbo and hope it doesn't happen again??? hmmmmm
  8. oh no!!! not another one! Are you missing another plug tip? Might be time to get someone to look at it... especially since it has been driving fine, I am not sure what it would be but I will have a think! ...maybe extreme detination... hmmm that is if you are missing a tip again.
  9. Q45 is often too big and can be hard to tune in that due to the size and lack of flow compared to the original motor, the readings are not consistant and does not run as well as a Z32. I am about to upgrade mine and will be going a Z32 both due to my research and advise from my tuner.

  13. sounds like he made it to me, not too hard if you get some alloy pipe and a little know how with a welder. (or you could use some pvc pipe )
  14. huh, rekon I might make one... only thing to consider is those breather pipes... probably not a problem with a catch can. Might be an idea to do that first!
  15. is there a correct way to gap the plugs other than smack them on the bentch?
  16. Depending on the problem, I would probably slide some hose over the pipe and clamp it up...
  17. I slipped a piece of turbo hose over the pipe down there so it sits through the hole.
