try dan first lol. iv been getting parts off him for a while now, but my engine is getting done by Ricky Stephens (my 25-30). only reason im gettin him to do it is because i only want a certain amount of things done, myself and the other workers i work with will be doin the rest, (we'r mechanics lol) but yeh, dan is a good guy to talk to about this. where abouts are you located??

hey Dave, sniper racing do a 'kit' when they sell there plenums, you could ask them if they'd sell you a single peice. PSI parts on these forums sell Sniper products, maybe ask Shane? ps, or il ask for ya when i talk to him next lol.

hmm, think youd get pretty bad fuel economy because of the small 2.5L tryin to move a heavy car... and it is heavy. the rb30det gearboxes are a bit more similar to the R33gearboxes, but the NA 30box is shit, wont hold anything. you cant compare to a car in a magazine either cause who knows what "extra's" its got that it didnt mention. but il give you a plus for thinking outside the box, however if you were to try and put a RB25det into say....a susuki vitara or something... ooo yeh that would be sweet.

should instal the haltech wiring now while your loom is out, i got a LTX12 that im installing before i put the motor in, however im also getting the engine tuned and run in before it gets into the car lol. acually, when you put the engine back in with the gearbox attached, did you have any clearence issues with the oil return 90degree bend comming from the back of the head?? just thought about it since you have to have more of a angle to get the box in... unless you got a high engine crane and jack the car up a bit.

id rather a $3000 lump of metal with a Brand name stamped on it and know that i have a reliable turbo, id hate to throw $2700 into my engine then find my $300 turbo has just shit the front shaft and put metal shavings right through the motor... maybe its just me?? :S

i got 2 block pulled apart with 20thou i think, pulling a 3rd one apart this morning hoping for standard bore... if you want these 2 blocks and a crank come get them lol

should bolt up, however, not sure if the tailshaft will suit... may need to customise that

yeh id take a wild guess at starter motor also... you could always leave the car with ur mechanic over night?? drop it off real late and get there early in the morn to watch them start it, so u know they aint taking it for a thrash...?

15kw taking AC out?? hmm ok. dont worry about the Forward facing plenum until you get close to 300kw. stock flows great up until then. a good option would be a highflow 25 turbo, uses same exhuast, lines, manifold, everything. then get a piggyback ecu (or a stand alone if you want) and get it all tuned. see if your happy with how it feels and go from there. CJ o and if the wastegate isnt closeing properly, try slightly bending the arm, its not a FIX its just a bandaid. or just stay off full boost

or you could get rid of your power steering and put the turbo up front and have a rather wild manifold piping setup lol. has been done before :S quite a bit acually.

sounds like you have been taken for a nice ride, and someones made some nice money out of you. that head would now be useless, go buy a rb25. and put your turbo etc onto that.
