  1. dude have a look under http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=90030
  2. FTO : poor man's Integra Type R Good : handling, NA power with use of the MIVEC technology, handles very well Subjective : Looks Bad : Aging and abandoned
  3. errr.. Big car which is sporty and great handling? I think the light shines on the GTRs. If not, it would be some other Japanese made car which are efficient on every aspect.
  4. i agree with you on the thought. In fact, I think if you're 17, well learn how to drive first. The car don't matter so much-it's the skill.
  5. it's friday. Guess what? still no news... "no car blues"
  6. hello people!! i got word from the shop. Seems the car will be getting the plates late this week(pray to god it's true).
  7. hey jake32, have you got your car yet? Man,i hate this wait!
  8. guys i heard that the timing belt for a R33 GTS-T can be seen and inspected visually without much trouble like having to take parts off and such the engine.. can anyone send some pics of how do i do that and can anyone please send pics of how their belts look ? sorry for the trouble, guys
  9. hi guys, what does a HICAS do? sorry for the overly basic question
  10. hello guys, i have heard that Skylines have lots of power and potential but on stock, the handling characteristics aren't anywhere near the little cars built for handling like an Integra Type R or FTO. Guys, any suggestions to make a R33 GTS-T handle better? Would it be to tweak the suspension setup, springs and such? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance
  11. anyone? diff lock - would that cause compliance to slow down?
  12. yeah, the car has been RAWS complied (ie what ever parts need to be changed has been changed) but it's really been awhile.... guys, would a locked diff cause the compliance to fail?
  13. guys , so this implies that it can take another X months yeah? I have been waiting for my bloody GTS-T to be released. All the physical compliance has been done in the workshops (2 months ago)but then again, i am still waiting for the bloody plates from Canberra.. sorry guys, but it's really frustrating.. any experiences to share???
  14. hello there how abt the boot lock ? how much do you want for that? thanks
  15. hello, guys, i heard we can visually inspect the timing belt of the r33 gts-t. How do we check it ? I heard it's by the "grooves" on the belt. Can anyone please put on some pics or something too?' thank you!
  16. guys, just got the r33 gts-t. i want to get the timing belt changed for a peace of mind... i live close to the city in melb. Any good workshops that are reliable(that do not cost a bomb too)? Any quotes? i will get the belt from Nissan itself and pay for the labour thanks, guys!
  17. R33 Series 2 GTS-T-40th Anniversary hi guys was just wondering - what are the features of the 40th anniversary models aside from the stiching in the seats and 2 "40th anniversary" badges at the side? hmmmm.... what does "TYPE M" mean? does anyone know where I can get the front Lip for a R33 Series II? mine got damaged while it was getting shipped down here thanks, guys!
  18. so in other words, the r33 do not come stock with 6x9 inch at the rear?
  19. autobarn seems to be ok for Clarion stuff but yeah, Alpine's a personal choice
  20. would a stock R33 GTS-T fit a 6x9 at the rear??
  21. hello lwells, yeah i will take your advice to get the water pump changed too.... Does the engine need to be dropped outta the engine?
  22. heya Krzysiu, thank you for that. Man,your ride looks sweet! nice rims too! Very very very nice! by the way, does the engine have to be dropped out to change the timing belt or not?
  23. guys, any more comments or experience to tell? I might just consider changing it at the 100,000km mark when I bring the car in for the major service but i am quite worried it might screw up right now at 95,000km. Guys, sorry for such a question - i know you guys are annoyed but please advice me. I am new to the Skylines . Thank you, guys
  24. cool,dude.. Thank you for the info. what does "AFAIK" mean?
  25. nah i doubt the car has been rewonded cause this one's been checked by a japanese friend of mine. He's picked this one up for me at the auctions in Japan. plus logically,a 1996 Skyline Series 2 is a 9 year old car with 95,000kms on the clock.. It's not that it is like 50-60,000kms so yeah the mileage is genuine. is there any way to assess the timing belt condition in a rb26-DET?? I really don't know much abt the RB26DET. I know more of the 3sGTE in the SW20 mr2s. Those engines are built in a way that if the belt snaps, the engine itself would not be damaged... Are the RB26DEt built like this?? thanks, guys!
