  3. I have a R33 GTR Vspec series 3.5 98 model. 400rwkw+, NOS full motor build from ADVAN 19's, Black, factory leather DVD, Torque Split Cont Full Dual Exhuast etc, etc Would be looking at $15000 change over
  4. I have a 93 300ZX and a 98 GTR. So no bias. I can say the Z is a very nice car to drive, is great fun during summer and looks very modern for it's age. I haven't had any issues with it at all. Insurance is ok since it as an Aust spec non-turbo. Don't get me wrong tho, it's still packs a punch. I actually bought the Z to drive while I fix the 3rd gear i broke in the R. If anyone would like it when I'm done (very soon) They can have it for $10600, Ferrari tail light conversion and all.

  6. I've just repaired my PFC. The problem was a 10 pin SIP (NEC PPA1478h) which leads to ECU pin 16 (GTR, relay output) This chip is obsolete and can only be purchased in lots of 500+. You will be happy to know there is one inside a stock RB25 ECU which I changed out and all now is sweet. Another point of interest is that the PFC Saves its data from signals off this wire, so when I had bypassed this output to manually energise my ECCS and Ingition relays, the PFC would not save data.   8. Yep, no earth to either relay. runs fine when i energise them manually. I have search the forums and found a few people with similar issues relating to voltage drop from the fuse box to the ECU,as the PFC draws more current. I will have to check which wires do what on the PWR side of things tomorrow.
  9. I have just received a new PFC from negun. I plug it in and the hanset flickers freezes onthe startup screen. I have found that the ECCS and Ignition relays beside the ECU are not being energised. ie no earth being sent from the ECU. Q. Do I have a faulty ECU ? Q. Has someone seen this fault before ? I can bypass the relays and the car runs fine, but, I shouldn't have to do that I would expect.
  10. I have run them for 350km on 200kw before they spat the gugeon pin out the side, steer clear, they are junk. Go CP or Arias.

  15. Done 350kms....first oil change was very clean, still all good.
  16. Update, Engine is completed and running well. I have done 150k's so far without any issues. The motor is very quiet. The noisiest part is the valve train. Stay tunned for the first compression test.

  18. Vg30(.6A/R) is definately bigger then R33 RB25(.48A/R). Three fingers will fit into the inlet compared to two fingers for the 33 turbine housing. Interesting info about the 34 housing.,...
  19. yep, same ones. I took a few pics of the vennolia's beside the CPs but they didn't come out to clear... The piston skirt on the CP's are at least 1mm thicker. The Vennolia's looked the same thinkness as the stock pistons- 2.12mm. The Vennolia's had thicker ring lans a thinner rings... I'll try the pic ...I would definately get the spirolock grooves machined deeper and use wire or circlips! if using vennolia's
  20. "Light-load cruise conditions permit the use of lean AFR's. Ratio's of 15-16:1 can be used in engines with standard cams, while engines with hot cams will require a richer 14:1 AFR. If a specific lean cruise function is available, air fuel ratio's of 17:1 or 17.5:1 can be used, normally at standard light-load advance. The cruise air/fuel ratio can be leaned out until exhaust gas temperature becomes excessive for these conditions eg. 600+ degrees C" =)

  23. Just an update, I talked to my old builder **** ***** Engines today and he agreed to rebuild my motor free of cost excluding parts....hmmn would u trust them again?-I think not. Peter @ ADVAN is going to gap my rings and check bottom end clearance's for me before I put it back together. At least I'll know it is perfect. ADVAN also stamp the block which should help at Re-sale time. My head needs new valve guilds aswell....I'm running out of dollars fast...grrr
