  1. So I'll be 2 sik 4 da streets
  2. VG30BB Turbo Exhaust housing. Must be from older single turbo VG30 Cheers matt.
  3. There is no D Jetro version available for the RB25DET =(
  4. Disabling closed loop during tunning will not effect anything at WOT. Closed loop only needs to be diabled for light loads and cruising speed tunning.
  5. Cam gear has been installed. After some research I came to the conclusion each pulley is 720 degrees with 48 teeth which equals to 15 degress per tooth. 4 degress equaled one mark on my OS cam gears. So I set the exhaust to -4 and intake to 2(half a mark). The difference is quite noticable with more power everywhere. Compared to with the VCT off boost is now about the same. Does come on boost(4300-4500) with more of a rush than with standard cams and -4 cam gear. So I figure the new 264's are helping more than just at 6000 rpm were power appears like a light switch.
  6. I'm confused now, I have the wheel on (OS Giken). What is -4degrees. The marks are spaced twice as wide as the HKS cam gear. do I set it to the forth mark? that would equal 8 degrees at the crank tho.... pls help
  7. Has anyone done this? I am yet to try retarding the exhaust side. I bought another cam gear yesterday and will fit tonight. Sydneykid, have you had experience with this setup, I would like to know if it would loose me alot of power up to for more down low... I might be best keeping both cams if the exhuast retard helps.... grrrr that's it I'm putting it on right now.
  8. Cams can be fitted with the head on. Grinding can also be done with the head on. Just clean up thoughly.
  9. I have just installed some Tomei 264 8.5mm cams. Doesn't enable the use of VCT. Not sure what to set the cam wheels to... Have the inlet on +2 degrees and exhaust on 0. I have lost power low down and gained quite a silly(feelings wise) amount after 6000rpm. Has anyone used these cams before. I am thinking maybe the exhaust side is not spot on like the 256 poncams. Hopefully I can gain some low end with some exhaust retard. Any info would be greatly appreciated Matt
  10. oh and sticky tape for EnricoPalazzo
  11. lol That's what M1 is all about, helpin your mates and keeping ur money for better stuff. like mirror balls.
  12. Supplied for less without turbine housing and you get your housing machined to suit for $1545 (gtst owners) So does the turbo bolt onto a Gtst exhaust housing with the turbine snout machined to fit? If so I would be interested. Could pick up this weekend for the right price. Pm me Cheers matt
  13. Some VG30BB turbo's have a thicker shaft than the RB25 turbo. Some 30% from memory. Get yourself one of those, wack on the .6AR RB25 exhaust housing (straight bolt on), changover the compressor(will need to be drilled and balanced 60$) the comp cover from the RB25 turbo will also bolt straight onto the VG30 center. and turn the wick upto 18psi. 230rwkw will be achievable. Could even use the .8AR VG30 housing for another 5-10kw. I am running the same setup and my turbo has seen 18+psi for a year now. And rest assured I am not an easy person on a car.
  14. I have my wastegate pipe seperated the entire length of the car. And yes it made the largest power increase from any dump pipe install I have seen. Actually enough to crack a piston the next day as my mixtures changed considerably. I also have most of the exhaust themo wrapped to reduce reduction in gas temps.... Sounds better and pops more flames =)

  16. About $600 more. When you factor not needing a Z32 or Q45 air flow meter in, It becomes alot more attractive. Then you can also sell your standard Airflow meter. Airflow meter restrictions would be irrelevant. I can just see the bare 4" turbo inlet for the drags now. =)
  17. Toluene is clear.
  18. does sound like your intake system(after the turbo) and your exhaust could be causing a restriction. A restriction on either side will cause boost to drop off. Also when the turbo runs out of efficiency. shouldn't be anywere near that tho.
  19. I used Wynns pro strengh for ages until my plugs were coated to the max with brown red sot. Have heard reports that they clog injectors..... Have used Nulon as of late and the plugs seem to be cleaner. Nothing close to toluene tho. I have been using tolunene at the same cost for a bottle of booster for a while now. (Hint: It's used in printers and costs a fraction of the price $2.20 at litre) =) nice
  20. yes but not in Sydney. Mobil would be the most consistent IMHO...would you agree Sydneykid..?
  21. Is fine when running open loop and no cat.....but we all are in closed loop and have a cat of course.
  22. Your not accounting for exhaust pressure on the wastegate. Could also be not tensioned properly. May need to shorten the rod or elongate the mounting holes.
  23. lol =) classic
