  1. Auto One Burn Out Comp Leading automotive parts and accessory group Auto One has stepped to the plate to back the first burnout contest at WSID, during the off-street event on Wednesday, April 21. The contest will form a component of that night’s off-street race meeting, and will be limited to the first fifty entries. The burnouts will be interspersed through the night’s racing. Judging will be done by a panel of experts on the night, with the winner to receive an impressive trophy and a purse of $1000. Looks like a good night for spectators aswell. I won't be racing as I don't have my Power Fc any more.....I'm thinking R33vit will see the tenths tumble tho. :burnout:

  3. I went through a complete fuel test using BP98, Vortex, Opimax, Mobil synergy98 in one day while trying to keep constant temps. knock levels were as follows Higher being worse and 75+ being an audible ping. BP98 :27 Mobil synergy :37 Optimax :69 Vortex :80 BP98 +30% toluene :30 (plus 7 degrees advance) =) Tests were done in SA. I have run both BP98 and Optimax in Sydney and found BP98 to be better, however as Sydneykid and others have stated the shell refinery uses old technology and batches differ. I would never use any other fuel in SA accept BP98 as I always got exactely the same knock level. Here in Sydney my levels are always different...again backing the fact BP uses optimax. I have given up and now have a cheap supplier for toluene. I am yet to find a fuel here I can tune to and trust.
  4. opps my bad, VG30bb and RB25 are the same 42mm not 47mm. The VG30 would still make more power tho due to less back pressure with bigger A/R exhaust housing.
  5. Has anyone had experience with the Jetro version FC? ie: Map and temp sensor instead of an Airflow meter.
  6. I used the washer switch at wsid, will be making a new switch on the w-end. Instant: I don't have water returning... Dean: you are the biggest copy cat ! I will call you "mini matt". Your turn to do something I can copy.....maybe not the sticky taped boost gauge line though. lol
  7. damo: Combat support (1CCS)
  8. cul202: It's just a datto on steroids mate! Damo: sure any time, just show me some leg and i'll pull over.
  9. who what were....no couldn't have been lol. did you hear the announcer? He said my red strip was pretty "fancy" ....also apparently someone changed it to a GTR when I wasn't looking to. lol I think he likes his fords...."Here we have a big 5.7 ford Gt against a skyline with a fancy red strip"! .....That fancy red strip just blew the doors off ur gt mate..hehe. I didn't go so well against the 10sec torana. I should have angled my water sprayers over into his lane!!
  10. yep, exactly. took ten minutes to setup. I only used one jet. will be setting up 3 in the future and an anti-drip valve... grrr
  11. Blah...... nothing special. 2.3 60" will do that.
  12. No just whenever I got time to push the button between gear changes, to much to thing of having to turn my thermo's off aswell.
  13. Interestingly I ran 112mph with intercooler sprays on and 107--108 with out. Definately will be setting up a non-temporary system.
  14. I am working on water injection right now. I set up intercooler sprays last night and ran 112mph with it on and 107 without.
  15. lol, there isn't many times that people would wish that. haha
  16. sprint: 10psi with porting = 245rwkw, 17psi without 245-266rwkw.
  17. I'm there, prob about 530
  18. I'll be there. Have been concinced to race. won't be there till 530 tho.
  19. You and me both...I'm sure there a few low k lines gettin round for ya. some down harder k's than others :: you are welcome to test ur luck lol There should be a few pistons left over from my engine.
  20. nino: I have had mine apart 8 times. If you are carefull enough to remove the exhaust housing straight without touching the turbine you will be fine.
