  1. Hey matty, they are the 555ZR(low profile). I have also used some AVS(yokohama) semi slicks. I was getting wheel spin on acceleration in 4th with 275's. The AVS's were like ice skates until getting some heat into them...and I wasn't keen on doing a burnout for every squirt. The nitto's are absolutely awesome dead cold and in the wet. I only get slight wheel spin in first and second now. Words can't describe the difference. They are not suited to the drag strip however.
  2. Da west side iz da maddest! Screaming you say ...lol I can't hear anything but 21psi now......yeah sideways at 140 is fun...nitto's + GTST = very similar to GTR in the hills---> Pitty I can't stay in my lane tho lol. I'll have to come down to M1's garage and unweld ur clutch. take care buddy
  3. Thankyou for that information Sydneykid. I will have to give optimax another go from another servo. Does seem to be cheaper in Shell form rather than bp from my local outlets. Even more reason to tune safetly if batches are going to vary that much =(
  4. You done the clutch yet mick! lol will be rolling backwards down the hill soon.
  5. is that the exception or the norm ? I have increased detenation with optimax compared to bp98(15-20points on PFC) Looks very different to me. btw optimax being the worse of the two.
  6. All those diesel gemini's
  7. hmmn whats this 1000ps????? pfft
  8. Thanks dean, u gotta come to syd dude... Nino.. Shaft play stays the same....I'm not sure what you r getting @
  9. I wondered were that went ... cheers
  10. I have a sweet Nismo Blue 350Z convertable in the shed at the moment. Unfortunately it isn't mine yet and won't be soon as it has to high km's for my liking. I am chasing a silver or blue 350, must be track version, less than 50,000km's. Looking below $55,000. So if you have one or see one pls let me know cheers matt
  11. I'll be there
  12. the sr20 Turbo has a t25 flange. The Vg30 is has a t3. I am not sure about the bearing housing. The same theory could be used with a larger compressor and enlarging the waste gate and or increasing turbine clearance to increase flow and reduce spoolup to get past the compressor surge zone. The sr does not have a ceramic turbine so increasing the turbine outlet would quicky reduce spoolup hence not providing as large gains from reduced back pressure....which in turn would limit compressor size. So in other words It may not be worth the hassle with only small gains viable with acceptable lag. Only one way to find out =)
  13. sprint32, a smaller comp wheel, would reduce the chance of surge and also lower potential power. I went for the TO4 Vtrim as it is the biggest and highest flowing that will fit in the standard comp cover. Increasing the waste gate flow will always reduce back pressure, the trick then with the turbine housing is to not have it to small and inturn boostin to early and causing surge. The rotating mass with the ceramic turbine is very small and has extremely quick spool up. Hence why so much air has been allowed to bypass.
  14. Made 240rwkw @ 17psi with 1bar @ 4100rpm on a rB25 internally stock.
  15. Chatswood some were would be the go, probably 845 ish. Make it the servo on victoria av cnr of stanley st I was thinking pittwater rd onto palm beach also =)
  16. No one else actually from Sydney? I have a couple of lines with me. New to the skyline cult that is....and still excited with standard power...lol
  17. Don't know sydney very well , so hopefully someone will know were to go.
  18. You and me both matty. No go having good power without good average power tho. When does ur turd make 1 bar ?
  19. Made 245rwkw on 10psi more boost soon. Doesn't make 15psi till 4600rpm due to reduced gas velocity with my ported head.I Will have to customise to suit. I am looking at reduceing the turbine snout quite abit and using a external gate and internal to enable higher turbine speeds and still flow well with the smaller outlet...call me crazy but it keeps me busy. Rb20 works well with this setup using .6 A/R exhaust housing and 52mm snout.
  20. Wow I will use this thread more often I have found one thanks for the replies.
  21. What sort of power increase is to be expected from the exhaust cam change only? Also is there any cams that are better suited to a ported head?? I have more power up top now with porting but at the expense of more lag. cheers matt
  22. Cheers Matt
  23. SUPER-V bigshaft part no-20364T $178.00 inducer-2.180" exducer-3.000" note: the standard Vtrim has a exducer - 2.750 Compressor housing part no.20203 $121.00 inlet size 2.750 this housing will reduce the chance of surge further more. goto www.turbonetics.com
  24. The turbo works fine without porting. It is slightly laggy compared to other turbos 5 times the price. I will be down in Adelaide soon ,but, without my wheels. you will have to come visit me in Syd. Autosaloon is a good excuse.
  25. Hey dean, come for a ride now... Since porting the head It gulps air like nothing else, I can't get it to surge now at all, I am gradually bringing boost on earlier and earlier. My nitto's are wearing quick! (changing lanes is becoming a problem again) All I need is a Z32 A/F meter and I'm ready for a tune. A 2535 is a perfect match for a RB25 in terms of Lag and power. Won't make much more than 250rwkw but will be a pleasure to drive in traffic. I think there is one for sale on the forum for $1500.... what's the price range you are looking for?
