  1. 12.2:1 thanks for that GTST VSPEC anyone else?
  2. Sydneykid you out there.... 11.5 hmmn thats pretty rich
  3. thats alot of posts. OMG
  4. you can use my AVS rims in the mean time...are you a good parker?
  5. You loose ur Idle up valve that helps your car idle when the air conditioner is on.
  6. Check the HKS versus Garret Thread
  7. Miss33 you answered your own question=) last meet I didn't both doing any burnouts cause I had to much traction...may be a different story this time round. Thanku for thinkin of me. Hip Hip Hop it shouldn't matter because I will be running very low tyre pressure. How wide are they??
  8. "boost is a measurement of resistance of flow" That makes so much sence =) Sydneykid: What fuel was the RB25 using to make 250rwkw @1.3bar??? and what A/F ratio Great Thread guys, alot of valuale information--> keep it flowin(pun intended)
  9. yep, would better actually.
  10. Hi all, for those in the know what is the best/Optimal A/F ratio for our skylines? Given no detenation of course. I have been told 12.3:1 is were max power is made on a turbo charged engine however have seen GTR's tuned down to flat 13 and make more power. Are we talking a combination of the best ignition advance curve versus A/F ratio?....ie car X might make more power with slightly richer mixtures and more advanced timing were as car Y will make more power with lean mixtures and a tame timing curve. Are there any proven ignition timing levels for max power on an RB25 or is it more of a matter of having the timing a couple of points below detenation? Is there a optimal A/F ratio that has seen the best results in power? Peak torque is around 5200-5500rpm, is detenation at this point best controlled by reduced timing or enriched mixtures? I'm thinking something along the line of "a can of worms" The reason I ask is because I have an narrow band oxy sensor and meter that I am using on the weekend to check my A/F ratios. Any advice on road testing and tuning(Power FC) would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Does anyone have a pair of stock rims and tyres or slicks they can lend me for the street meet on Sunday??? I have been having mega traction issues (diff bounce) with my 17" 255 wide tyres. Basically after as higher profile I cam get.
  12. yep
  13. Have to remove the intake mainifold inlet pipe first
  14. Is there any OE smaller A/R Exhaust housings that will bolt onto the RB20 turbos???
  15. I am lookin at doing this also because I have a suspicion mine is sucking closed under boost.
  16. A TDO6 19c comes on boost on an RB25 at 4000-4500rpm, is a 20g bigger?
  17. On the other side of the fence, the police were quite good about the whole thing. No one was defected or singled out. They would have a worthy reason for making there presence.....if only one person drove alittle slower and avoided an accident- It was worth it. As for doing a burning right in front of a police car...... and only getting stung with a $103 fine--> wow I wish all police were like that.
  18. fuel pump requires no mods as fuel pressure remains the same.
  19. The non ball bearing VG30 will make more power and more lag. Has a slighly bigger turbine.
  20. exhaust side only 1-4degrees retard up to 10rwkw
  21. I have a T04vtrim with .8 (VG30) exhuast housing and 42mm wheel. I has wicked surge issues. Makes full boost by 3000rpm. Have got around the surge with dual stage boost 10psi up to 4000rpm then 13.5.
  22. I would definately be getting a front mount intercooler and bigger fuel pump, if you want to keep ur engine from detenating. Which should be no 1. My intakes temp dropped from over 40 degrees above ambient to a max of 6 degrees above. Pwr increased by 20rwkw with no extra boost. My pinging levels dropped by half when I installed the Bosch Motorsport pump, which can be put down to more stable fuel pressures. I can't stress these two mods enough.
  23. I think real steel braid is quite expensive, the can comes with a mounting point and hex bolts- you may have to make you own adaptor braket depending on were you mount it.
  24. Pics here !!!! Cheers Trav .....small world
