I heard from a parrot the cams in the red GTST are from a NA RB25, they have more lift than the turbo cams.....opps was that a secret terry??

Im getting towards that now, but, I like to have a go myself and it doesn't cost any money. I have experimented with altering then tension on the wastegate and managed to move the surge around the rev range but no aleaviate it all together. I'm still trying different things so I'll keep ya posted... might be one of u one day =)

I have increaed tension and I have no flutter unless I boost up in a high gear- then it flutters whilst coming on boost, then stops once up to the preset max.

Hi terry, have to say you guys were the highlite of my day- keep up the good work.

I went Sunday, was ok, heard the Red JMS GTST pulled 448rwkw on the dyno...what the Denzo had his 180sx on the dyno and was trying every trick in the book to get it ova 300rwkw. sprayed nos directly into the air filter at one stage and had the boost up so high u could hear the detenation ova the sound off---> I was almost in tears.

What was the pwr increase??

not WD40 its actually called penatrating spray.

I think aftermarket dump pipes on an RB25 are a waste of money for the very minor power gain. There are alot more hp for the dollars parts out there. The stock dump flows reasonbly well already, the waste gate gas has to turn a pretty sharp corner no matter if you have a split dump or not..... would you agrees Sydneykid???

I think you are refering to surge. I have had a turbo that surged before and I can say this is different. I tired a piece of wire to the waste gate and put it through the firewall. I applied preasure to the actuator when reaching full boost and it fixes the problem. I will move the waste gate actuator further back to increase the tension slightly and see how it goes. I have heard of problems with surging when using the RB25 exhuast housing. I am using a VG30 which has a bigger A/R.......fingers crossed. specs: Comp T04B Vtrim Turbine and housing are VG30 this setup has made 245rwkw@12psi on a 3ltr. ps makes full boost before 3000rpm in third. pps Who is the best dyno tuner in Adelaide???
